- Sharp: What does one require most from a vibroblade? That it be sharp, of course! With the new Fukashi Kamikiri Blades, you will be able to cut through anything from a tree, to a speeder, to a person, with no sharpening required beforehand.
- Low Maintenance: Lined with Phrik, and supported by state-of-the-art durasteel exostructures, needless to say any prospective owner of the Kamikiri Blades won't have to worry themselves over whether or not their blades will get dull, or even break, for quite a long time. In the rare event they do, any Fukashi facility will be able to repair them for a low cost.
- Fast: You're in a dark alley, and are suddenly lunged at by some thug, with the ability to pounce a solid defense from your arms at a moment's notice, that thug will wish he never got out of bed in the morning. Featuring top of the line hydraulic systems, your Kamikiri Blades will be ready whenever, and wherever you need them.
- Resistant: With the tips capable of resisting even lightsabers, and the durasteel supports able to deflect any blaster shot, any would-be assailant will find no solace in attempting to disable your Kamikiri Blades. Feel free to have fun with them as they try to, however.
WEAKNESSES
- Expensive: Like most Fukashi-brand cybernetics, the M50 Kamikiri Blades are quite costly, and will certainly set one back a pretty credit or two. Although still possible for everyday people to purchase, it would likely require a lot of saving up in-order to do so.
- Surgery: Requiring a lengthy, and complex surgery for those who have not had cybernetic work done on their arms before, which the customer also must pay out of their own pocket for, unless they have a Nakaioma Medical Premium Membership, in which case the cost is covered. The process of receiving the implant(s), is equally expensive, and can only (officially) be done in specialized Fukashi facilities, by trained professionals. Although like many Fukashi cybernetics, an underworld market has formed around its illegal installation.
One of Fukashi Electric's first offensive products, the Kamikiri Blades, so named after their resemblance to the arms of an animal on Onami Prime, though still advertised as being purely for personal, and home defense purposes, are by all practical purposes offensive weapons. Particularly popular with the mercenary, underworld, and corporate paramilitary crowds, Kamikiri Blades have received somewhat of a mixed reputation, being seen as both a status symbol, a sign of a professional, and the sign of some form of thug one would do better to stay away from. Fukashi has attempted to stray public attention towards the former two, and frequently mentions how they do not discriminate against their customers based on appearance, or "past mistakes". A well trained individual with Kamikiri blades is a force to be reckoned with, as security footage depicting brawls where they have been involved show clearly.
Intended to open additional doors towards more offensively-minded cybernetics, and other bodily modifications, and electronics in the future, Fukashi has seen notable success with the blades on certain, more dangerous, or crime-ridden worlds. Likewise, it has also seen a notable increase in black market use and instalment of the weapons, compared to many of its other products. Something which it has attempted to crack down on, utilizing NSS forces, and sometimes tipping off local governments to where such operations are active. Surprisingly, the blades have also seen use with explorers, and extreme sports types. Something which Fukashi has taken a great interest in, incorporating more footage of individuals using their blades to scale mountains, or cut down trees, as per of their new advertising campaigns for the weapons.
