Modified AA-1 Verbobrain
Positronic Human Behavioral Programming
Limited Combat Programming
Reinforced Chassis
Reinforced Joints
- Modified AA-1 Verbobrain - Each processor is modified to assist the N6 in coping with the vast amounts of informational input that they come in contact with on a day to day basis. This also ensures that the N6 can utilize their arms independently from one another, and keep track of what each separate limb is currently being utilized for which task.
- Positronic Human Behavioral Programming - The N6 is designed with a series of programs that when utilized permit the HRD to act as humanly as possible; save for the noticeable six arms. The N6 is capable of eating, drinking, sleeping, and performing a variety of tasks that would permit them to pass as humans or human-like species.
- Durability / Upgraded - While the previous series was not designed for combat in mind; the Series II contains reinforced chassis - to protect its vital components such as its memory core - as well as reinforced joints.
- Ambidextrous - The N6 treats all of its hands as dominant and can easily switch between them during a task as needed.
- Secondary Modified AA-1 Verbobrain - The Series II comes with a marked improvement over its predecessor; a secondary AA-1 Verbobrain assists the Series II in controlling all of its limbs independently of one another to prevent overclocking the primary Verbobrain.
- Emotionless - While the behavioral programming ensures that the N6 can act human, clearly something was missing in the programming; as the N6 units are often cold or otherwise emotionless in their dealings with other individuals.
- Limited Capacity - Due to the modifications made to the Verbobrains in the N6 units; they are incapable of having more than three programs installed at any one time. Any additional programs over the limit can cause malfunctions, overheating, or otherwise unwanted behavior that could be detrimental to the public health and safety - up to and including the possibility of death.
- Limited Resistances - While upgraded from their otherwise non-combat oriented predecessors, the Series II is still classified as a Third-Degree droid. More than capable of handling a small-caliber kinetic round, or the general environmental conditions of many worlds. The Series II can still be lain low by colder environments - which rapidly deplete its battery charge - lightsabers, and the standard ION/EMP weaponry often deployed against droids.
- Limited Battery Charge - The N6 Series II battery charge lasts approximately 5 days - an upgrade to the predecessor's 3-day charge. After such a time, the N6 should be recharged as soon as possible to prevent damage to the battery or other vital systems.
- Secondary AA-1 Disability - Located roughly in the center of the back near the joints of the arms; the secondary AA-1 has the possibility of becoming easily damaged if the unit is pushed into a combat or otherwise physical confrontation. If the secondary AA-1 Verbobrain were to be damaged, the unit would lose the functionality of its additional limbs, as the primary Verbobrain would be incapable of controlling all limbs except for two at a time.
Likewise, Series II has its own problems; the most worrisome being that its secondary AA-1 can be easily damaged due to its location at the intersection of the six arms; roughly in the middle of the back of the unit. If the secondary AA-1 is damaged, it can cause the loss of function of the limbs, rendering the unit only capable of controlling two of its arms at a time. Additional problems include the usual cold, emotionless behavior that the Series I have become known for, and its limited battery charge - though the Series II charge lasts two days longer than that of the Series I.
In a bid to cut down on the aftermarket additions that the Series I saw, the production and sell of the units is more closely watched; though this still hasn't prevented some of the most unscrupulous individuals from getting their hands on a Series II. These aftermarket additions range from reinforced armor plating and the installation of weaponry to more intimate functions and cosmetic appearances.
