Description:
In the great wars of the Je’daii, there were many weapons used. Perhaps their hallmark were the Force Imbued blades of their Order, and their fantastical abilities. Force Imbuement itself was a hallmark of these blades in many regards, granting them preternatural abilities like the keenest edge known to smiths of the time, able to slice through things like durasteel and plastoid with relative ease.
However, the best of these swords stood out not just for the imbuement offered, but for the very billet and steel they were forged from. Tem Madog, Temple Master of Vur Tepe, had made his own durasteel, and it was a cut above the others. In homage to his idol, Ijaat followed his formula after communing with the Tho Yor on Vur Tepe.
Reproducing the metal was not enough of a challenge outright, though. He would go a step further. Using knowledge from various holocrons, research from the Codex of Tython and Vur Tepe and the Tho Yor itself, Ijaat created a metal that seemed to drink in the Force. When imbued, it took to it like a fish to water. The most gentle of power added was doubled in effect, making it the ideal craft material to work on for one such as himself.
Because of the intricate process needed to make it, and the intrinsic ability of the metal itself, access and knowledge to it is restricted, and the volume of work that can be turned out by it is minimal at best. With it, an Apprentice could craft a blade any Knight would be proud of, and so on. However, even without imbuement, the metal has a presence in the Force innately and thus makes it and it's bearer easier to track and find in the Force. Truly those called Masters of the Forge would find amazement in what leaves their anvils.
Strengths:
- Force Amplifcation - When imbued, this metal can take quicker to and enhance the effects of the crafter working it.
- Resistance - Minor lightsaber resistance similar to Mandalorian Steel
Weaknesses:
- Difficult Nature - Due to its nature to forge and smelt, it is impossible to produce this material in any large quantity, limiting it to weaponry and armor at a maximum, and no more than Semi-Unique (6x) quantity in production
- Not Stealthy - The enhanced nature of the Force flowing through the metal ensures that even un-imbued, the item made of madog steel retains a Force presence and makes it, and thus it's user, easier to sense and track via the Force.
Special Features:
Comparable in lightsaber resistance & General toughness to Mandalorian Steel (slightly lesser)
Takes to Force Imbuement better than most other materials (I.E. those working it to Imbue it will find they can work at one tier of strength above their skill, though a Master or Apex will just find things easier, not stronger)
More vivid and varied auras and visual effects than standard Force Imbued objects. (aesthetics only)
