Background
House Bloodstone has been one of the most financially and politically prominent families on Zeltros for almost a millennia. Their line being one of strong force sensitives on both sides of the war, some Jedi and some Sith. Mael Bloodstone was the prodigal son of the former head of their family, his father Xeod Bloodstone. By the time he had turned 16, Mael had already outmaneuvered his father on several business ventures, gaining him influence, connections and wealth, but at the cost of his father's finances rapidly beginning to decline. Were it anyone other than his own heir, family or not, Xeod would have retaliated ruthlessly, both metaphorically and literally. But he was impressed with his sons intelligence and business savvy having climbed such heights at such a young age. However, when Mael chose to join the Sith Empire and undergo the Acolyte trials on Korriban, Xeod finally lashed out by freezing Maels financial accounts and taking 'seniority possession' of all of Maels business assets. Xeod did everything he could, short of disowning Mael, to try and drive a wedge between his son and the Sith. It was all in vain though.
Over the next 5 years Mael climbed the steps of the Sith hierarchy, eventually formally announced a Sith Knight. Over his years of service, however, Mael had become intense rivals with a Jedi woman named 'Lesatia.' They both thrived on ruining and foiling one another's plots and schemes. His eagerness to face off against her again grew into a desire to see her thatvevolved into a longing to be near her..
Love managed to do what his father, Xeod, could not: Mael disserted The Sith Empire to be with Lesatia. They spent a blissful five years together, keeping their love and affairs a secret until the evidence of it began to grow within Lesatia.
What happend after the Jedi Order found out was catastrophic however. The council of masters scorned Lesatia, cutting her mind deep and filling the wounds with salt.
Instead of seeking comfort in her lovers arms however, Lesatia opted to take her own life, driving her own lightsaber through her heart.
Mael spent a year in silent exile. No one knows where he was or what he did to cope with Lesatias death, other than a short expedition to Dathomir to acquire a simple Talisman of Visage, that would allow him to appear as an attractive human male during times when being Zeltron was not beneficial.
What is known is that when he returned to his home planet he took the mantle of head of their family from an aging and ill Xeod. Since his taking control House Bloodstones finances increased threefold, and their influence spanned from Aldaraanian politicians to Hurt Cartel.
He was a predator in every sense of the word. He was sith. He was Jedi. Now he is more than both.
