| Biography: Silver spoons. Lavish parties. Growing up as the middle child of the thirtieth generation in a prominent military family, Maesr was steered away from both the former and latter-- both considered detrimental in the eyes of his marine mother and fleet commander father. Instead, he was raised first and foremost to be the best officer possible, being taught of century-old and recent battles alike from the time he learned to read, discussing his military career with distinguished family friends in the years after he turned fourteen, and soon finding himself standing at the doorway of the Core Imperial Confederation’s Bilbringi naval academy. Though, throughout his early childhood, Maesr watched his peers enjoying simpler lives with less restricting parents. In time, he began to envy them, his own parents being almost entirely absent from his social development. But his entire upbringing had led up to one thing, and despite his own repressed desires, Maesr enlisted in the Bilbringi Defense Force. From that moment on, he climbed the ranks, serving initially as a gunnery officer aboard a light corvette, and in time finding himself captaining his own Imperial II-class Star Destroyer, the HMIS Wolf. All throughout, Maesr’s years of tactical study, and his ever-growing combat experience drove a proud and successful career, hunting down aggressors from pirates to rival factions. Until his entire world collapsed. When the Core Imperial Confederation fell apart, the Wolf was dispatched to the remaining frontier worlds in an effort to secure what little holdings the fractured faction had left. But soon after his departure, Maesr learned of Bilbringi’s descent into chaos, and soon would also learn of his parents’ deaths in a senseless display of apparent looting. And with their loss, the captain had nothing to return to. After a month of instability plaguing the Imperial remnants, relative salvation came in the form of the Chiss Warlord Vel’alari’s newly formed Bilbringi Imperial Remnant and the remaining Core Imperial forces’ eventual integration with the faction. Maesr soon took another leap in rank, settling into a new position as a flag officer-- at the rank of Commodore, in specific-- at the very end of his first year of service in the remnant. Further into an already long career, he watched the Galactic Alliance return from the dead, soon after bringing the former Bilbringi Imperial Remnant into its fold, and placing the commodore once more in the ranks of the Bilbringi Defense Force. His role as commander of the Seventh Bilbringi Task Force afforded Maesr a gradual rise in the ranks, and a growing favor with the planet's senator, Grand Moff Vel'alari. Dutiful service and long-standing professionalism would soon drive the latter to declare Elastren her successor when the time came that Vel'alari stepped down from power. |
| Appearance: Rarely seen outside of a well-kept light grey Imperial uniform, and towering over the majority of his staff, Maesr presents an appearance of dignity and calculating professionalism. | Strengths: +Commanding Presence: Maesr makes a point of presenting himself with as much confidence and strength as possible in an effort to maintain the morale of those around him. +Strategist: Owing to a childhood spent studying, and several decades of command experience, Maesr's tactical knowledge lets him establish deadly offensives and powerful defensive operations with consistent reliability. -Loose Affiliations: Though officially sworn to the protection of Bilbringi, with little left waiting for him, Maesr's concerns lie entirely in the protection of his crew. -Socially Inexperienced: In a military setting, Maesr has little trouble holding a conversation, but in anything with a civilian-focused mindset, he struggles on account of his upbringing. |
