Maeve Linahan is a Knight and rising Shadow of the New Jedi Order. Some might consider her a model Jedi. Others, not so much. While Maeve likes to believe she is free of weakness, she can be irrationally stubborn, insensitive, and quick to anger. She is a blunt hammer, and everyone else may as well be a nail.
PERSONALITY
Although she is committed to her role as a Knight, she is not guided by the same tight moral compass as her brothers and sisters in the Light. She does not share their mercy, their romantic ideals about peace and freedom.
Maeve is not an idealist. She can’t afford to be.
When evil lives on your doorstep, prayer and meditation can't protect you. Maeve understands only one thing, and it is that only strength can hold back the darkness. Handshakes and olive branches won't save the galaxy. Lightsabers will.
BIOGRAPHY
Maeve’s past is marked with death. Her father, her mother, her sister. All of them were victims to senseless murder at the hands of the Sith, by rogue cultists who hoped to corrupt and turn her to the Dark Side and weaponize her gifts in the Force.
She had only been nine years old at the time. Nine, and subjected to the worst kind of pain and torment imaginable. Starved, beaten, used and experimented upon. Forced to sleep in the same, bleak cell as her decomposing family.
But Maeve did not give in. What her captors did not realize was just how determined she was to escape—and just how vindictive she could be.
She began by murdering them in their sleep. One by one, she cut them open with a rusted knife. Some managed to escape her wrath by chance before she'd fled into the wilderness, a little girl with more blood on her than food or water.
Whether by coincidence and an act of the Force, Maeve was discovered by a traveling Jedi Master who later took her under his wing. It was with him she learned to temper her rage, to turn it into a weapon for good, rising eventually to the rank of a Jedi Knight, in possession of her own lightsaber.
To this day, Maeve is still haunted by the nightmares of her past, but she has vowed to never rest until the stain of the Sith are wiped clean from the galaxy.
