- Makes the wearer "slippery" in the Force - that is to say, it is more difficult to sense their presence.
- Confuses thermal and infrared sensors.
- Has an "exotic" smell that is designed to mask the wearer's scent.
- Various protections against energy weapons, lightsabers, sonics, elements, and melee damage.
- Slippery: The silk weave of the gown makes the wearer "slippery" in the Force, and can impair thermal and infrared sensors. The silks also have an exotic smell that makes tracking the scent of the wearer much harder.
- Muffled Steps: The silk dampens sonics (including footfalls) up to a point. If one is crashing around and stomping it won't do much, but stepping lightly can be almost entirely silent.
- Protective: The gown is exceptionally durable, comparable in level of protection to shell spider silk. It can withstand energy, lightsabers, sonics, elemental, and melee damage.
- Waterproof: The fabric has been treated so that it will not retain water (and become heavy) when submerged.
- Fireproof: The gown is resistant to fire damage.
- Pockets: It has pockets on the sides.
- Stealth But Not Stealth: The cloak can confuse Force Sense/sensors, but it will not make the wearer invisible to the naked eye. To avoid being seen, one must still stay hidden.
- Covered: The silk is protective to a point; multiple blows or shots will tear through. Areas not covered by the gown obviously are left unprotected. In addition, the silks provide little defense against kinetic impacts, disruptors, and lightning/ION energy.
Commissioned by Maeve Linahan, a Jedi Shadow, to make a formal gown, Thelma used one of her rarest fabrics: Sunless Lands Silk. The cloth was obtained with difficulty, but its unique attributes make it well worth the effort.
The dress is a one-shoulder asymmetric draped gown made from a light green silk chiffon with printed gilded flowers. It is floor-length with a train and a leg slit. Decorative embroidered lace flowers are sewn on the belt and at the shoulder.
