SPECIAL FEATURES
Interchangeable Parts: The MAG-800 was designed with ease of maintenance in mind, which has become a hallmark of the GDI brand. Given the high demand placed upon the barrels of the weapon, as well as the internal mechanism by virtue of its very high rate of fire, regular inspection is required of the weapon system. Because of this, the “Thunderer’s” designers made it a fairly simple matter to replace the majority of components that experience ‘wear and tear’ through its intended use. One could even harvest parts from scrapped units if in a bind.
Rail Acceleration: Utilizing rail acceleration technology, each round shot from this weapon is electro-magnetically charged, which increases both its stopping power and velocity exponentially as compared to other models.

+Hail of Fire: The MAG-800 was designed to serve as the ‘last word’ when it comes to high volume anti-personnel rounds, boasting an impressive rating of 4,000 rounds per minute. Utilizing .50 caliber rounds, this weapon also serves well against lightly armored vehicles and structures, making it an ideal choice for providing fire support from a gunship or assault vehicle.
+Ammunition Reservoir: Given this weapon system’s immense rate of fire, it stands to reason that it requires a large amount of ammunition. To accomodate this need, vehicles bringing this weapon into battle are usually also outfitted with a large reservoir to allow it to be used effectively for a considerable amount of time prior to requiring resupply.
WEAKNESSES
-Maintenance Intensive: The high rate of fire this weapon provides has the unfortunate consequence of subjecting the system to high amounts of friction and heat. While this weapon was designed with that in mind, GDI recommends regular maintenance checks to avoid unexpected compromises within the internal mechanisms of the weapon.
-Bulky: From the size of the actual weapons, to the considerable ammunition reservoir required, the MAG-800 is a fairly bulky weapon system. This should be taken into consideration when outfitting a vehicle with this weapon, as this will likely be the main armament on all but the heaviest of small aircraft or ground based vehicles.
-Imprecise: The MAG-800 is not a precise or subtle weapon, as one would only use it when requiring a high volume of fire to contain a large amount of enemy combatants. While effective at an average range of approximately 1,000 meters, its high recoil prevents it from being particularly accurate. In other words, one will not be picking off ticks from a bantha’s hide while using this weapon, but instead mowing down a field of said banthas. Fire for effect!
DESCRIPTION

Capable of literally belching out rounds at a staggering 4,000 rounds per minute, one doesn’t need many other weapons when dealing with hordes of Bryn’adul, or thousands of undead force entities! Just sit back, disarm the safety, and pull back on the trigger while holding on for dear life! The high caliber of this weapon allows it to serve a multi-role function, from providing crowd control, to dissuading the presence of lightly armored aerial or ground based targets.
The MAG-800 was named the ‘Thunderer’ by its closed-market testers due to the intimidating sound it makes when unleashing its payload, which adds an extra fear factor for those interested in deploying it. Given the exceedingly deadly nature of this weapon, it is only available for sale to licensed private military organizations or sovereign entities.
