Quadanium (x) - Squadron Count: 12
- Maneuverability Rating: Moderate (Low with Scramjet)
- Speed Rating: High (Very High with Scramjet)

ST2X Targeting Computer: While slightly aged in todays standards, it is still a prime example of targeting computer technology, allowing the user to keep target locked on and perform complex maneuvers while giving redicules on where to fire. (x)
Scramjet Booster: Taking advantage of the extra engine space, the Scramjet Booster was installed to give short bursts of speed to the craft. (x)
Strengths:
- Dodge This: The overwhelming amount of blaster cannons ensure that any starfighter caught under its targeting computer may find it hard pressed to maneuver away from the overwhelming amount of blaster fire it carries out.
- In my Sights: The advanced targeting computer allows them to keep track of their target up to five kilometers away, ensuring the target does not escape that easily. In addition, the Scramjet Booster closes the gap between the target if to far away if required.
- Paper Deflector Shields: They were designed to take one or two shots before being drained and requiring fifteen to thirty seconds to recharge the shields. This was to save costs and to keep power diverted to the engines.
- No Hyperdrive: Without a hyperdrive, it relies on a carrier to be taken to and from its destination.
- Useless against Capital Ships: It has no effective means to combat a Capital Ship save for destroying any visible turrets. It is advised to keep away and let the bigger ships handle them.
- Overheating Boosters: The Boosters if used longer then five seconds and/or used multiple times within a few minutes, can damage the boosters to be inoperable or damage the Maia-class Interceptor engines to where it is inoperable.
Description:
The Maia-class Interceptor was created from the minds of several researchers in the Commenor Systems Alliance. During this time, the Commenor Systems Alliance was looking to cut costs as they been sourcing in starfighters from various open markets. In addition, it did not have a viable Interceptor at this time. Taking over a month of research, the Maia-class Interceptor project was created, using the basis of the A-Wing and then improving the engine blocks to compensate for additional weight. When this occured, they forgotten all about the weaponry so they added in eight blaster cannons. While this was a bit of a humorous oversight, tests shown on the first run that a single Maia-class Interceptor held off against several TIE/LN and destroyed half the squadron before the live fire exercise was halted. Seeing the potential, they gave a go ahead for production phase as they added in additional pieces that shown some flaws in the Maia-class Interceptor.
Adding into the smaller engine ports was a Scramjet Booster, an older relic of atmospheric starfighters, it proved invaluable during atmospheric and space combat as it gave the short boosts necessary to combat other interceptors much faster than the Maia-class Interceptor. In addition, they added in the ST2X Targeting Computer, having the source code from a salvager that parted their ways several months back. Making it exclusive into their Maia-class Interceptor currently, it showed even better test results as the complex maneuvers kept up with the redicules and produced a 10% better hit ratio than before. With this, the project was green lit for the military and as such, are now awaiting for the first few squads for their carriers to hold.
While the Maia-class Interceptor was considered a success, the fall of the Commenor Systems Alliance did put a hamper on most other projects. Considering he still had the design plans, Haon Hafey went forward to replicating the design for his own unique purposes and was given many chances to rework it. Even getting an original Maia-class Interceptor to study back up any new designs and put on the market once again for those who require it. It became quite quickly a leading edge for Have Gun Will Travels business, bringing in some profit to an otherwise daft market.
