Maid Cafe (open need master)

"And who are you." Ikki moved through the sanctum as she bent over just a little moving some of the miscellaneous debris off. There was a great deal of waste the others brought about and left in the sanctum. It all had her moving about while checking on the latest items the apprentices brought in or some new discovery creature wise. It was what she got staring at the small monkey lizard and frowning a little.

"No." She said it while shooing the creature away with her duster and finishing up the room when the chrono beeped and she was late. Realizing it as Ikki scurried back to her room and grabbed the diamond tipped gloves with net launcher. Her spools of wire going into her pocket and moved quickly towards one of the open area's of the temple. Hopefully getting a master wouldn't be to hard as she stood there with her hands in front of her and hair tucked behind her ears.

Serian Loria

In the shadows, at the fringe
A whisper of footsteps, nearly silent except for the halls were tomb still, otherwise he might have passed through without a single sound. He was writing in his journal, aware, but not paying attention for he was absorbed in his task. He stopped in her vicinity, mostly because he Sensed she was at work and the barest glance of his lit ruby eyes showed a ‘servant’. He didn’t want to make her task harder by treading in her way and waiting was much more polite. His quarters were in the direction he was headed, though they were hardly lived it. She wouldn’t sense a force presence from him, though he wore the Obsidian garb and had the rank pips marking him as a ‘Master’. His name badge said ‘Loremaster Serian Loria’, he was the current head of the archives.

His blue black hair was short, the black making him more imposing and he held himself with the rigid bearing of one of high society. He stood at six feet, one hundred and eighty pounds, he was lean and lithe, his lit ruby eyes were what made him stand out. Like flawless rubies held up to candle light. He didn’t look like he worked to bring attention to himself, though his uniform was in flawless form. He could have been a statue for all that he moved, he was in a position where he was out of her way and didn’t seem impatient in the least. Standing still or walking didn’t impact what he was doing, though he’d have preferred to have been in the privacy of his room instead of standing out in a hall.

[member="Ikki Ike"] ( Sorry, I didn't realize that you'd replied to that thread ages ago, we'll see how we mesh here, okay? Serian isn't the easiest person to get along with, plus I like seeing if there is chemistry between the person I am training or not. Thats an important factor for me cuz that can oft make or break a thread.

[that is fine]

Ikki stopped for a moment, she had her looks going about and had remained engrossed to the point she wasn't fully expecting the man she sensed... mostly because he was in the path and hard to explain. She allowed her memory and her sense of direction to usually lead the way and had never really found much talent with other force powers. A small smile came to her face though while she stood there and brought her dark brown eyes over while she gave a bow becoming smaller then she already was. "Greetings master." Her voice was crisp and precise with her eyes never leaving him while she moved to stand straight again presenting herself as prime and proper. "I am Ikki Ike apprentice and maid within the sanctum."

He looked up from what he was doing, closed the book after sliding his pen between the pages, then took off his reading glasses and slid them into a pocket. “Is being a maid a hobby or is it a means to support yourself?

If she was an apprentice he wondered absently why her Master hadn’t been supporting her so she could study or why the Confederacy wasn’t. He took care of his own when he taught them, gave them the seeds to grow a sufficient income to allow them to focus on their studies and not be left begging. He didn’t like living off others, one of the reasons his quarters in the Confederacy were so little used. More over they just weren't all that convenient unless he was spending a goodly amount of his time in Confederacy space, which he didn’t. If he wasn’t traveling to search leads, he was at home, if he did find anything useful he returned to drop it off and then to repeat the process all over again.

He was used to working alone, haring off and doing things his own way, the fact he could travel with aids from the archives hadn’t caught up to him yet. He never had the ability to command people of similar skills to aid him in a project before.

That was a strange question and she took a moment to think before speaking with a tight lipped smile fighting on her face against a serious demeanor. "All daughter's of Emberlene are sent to work, most as mercenaries and some as assassin's the ones who can look imposing. Other find a way to ply the skills taught and honed by our House and generations of refinement as spies, bodyguards and rarely concubines. It is rare we have our own ambitions like being a student or apprentice so when I had a chance to join the order I needed something to contribute back home. They were very understanding and possibly having access to a family of Shadow Guards could be valuable down the line."

An obligation to family and a means to offer it monetary support, such a concept was alien to him. “Why does your master not give you the means to do as you wish while providing a part of your income to your family? Why choose to work as a servant?

It would be another odd question and far more personal than the last. This time there was a hint of disapproval, though he had no idea she had no master. The disapproval was not towards her, but the idea that the one responsible for her education was doing a poor job.

Ikki gave a frown to that and stood there. "I do not have a master, the sanctum has yet to assign me one." She kept her head down and remained very still to keep from shifting in place. She knew how to hold herself in a statuesque position like he had seemed to do. Though there was a grin on her face about it all and she looked to her gloves. "I am proficient with little in the ways of force power but I do not get lost and Master Verd saw fit to have me learn the basics of alchemy."
