An introduction to the roaming Jedi Praxeum Ship
Of the Outer Rim Territories.

For Caedyn Arenais, the first flight of the Scintilla Star was a milestone achievement for the Jedi of the Outer Rim Territories, a vast and mobile expansion of the Svivren Enclave, now capable of traversing the Outer Regions while maintaining their dedication to training, and the mentor-ship of the younger generation. For such a vast vessel to be in full operation, it required a wealth of personnel for which were employed under the aid of the Outer Planets Alliance, the Svivren Trade Alliance and House Arenais connections to worlds beyond the Rim. This was a literal flying Temple and Caedyn had boarded nothing even close of this size of vessel.

The Scintilla's crew had separate quarters and stations outside of the major body that enclosed the Jedi Temple, those of the Order would be able to walk the halls amiss of any personnel not of their accord. Vice versa, Security protocols remained in place in order to deter the Jedi, specifically the younglings from wandering the operating stations or getting in the way of those responsible for the vessels continued maintenance and premium standing.

With all on board, the Praxeum Ship had made it's first jump into hyperspace with the intention of travelling to the opposite side of the Galaxy, moving from the west, through the inner-rim's and once more meeting the Outlaying territories on the eastern expanse in order to gauge the great ship's performance. Naturally there had been a plethora of tests and adjustments completed before she had been placed into open space, however this was as much for the Jedi on-board as it were for the crew and those Officers stationed aboard the bridge.

"Greetings my friends and fellow Jedi" Caedyn's voice could be heard across the vessels intercom system, speakers relaying his announcement throughout all sections of the Jedi facilities; "May I be the first to congratulate us on the first successful Jump into Hyperspace. I am told that the Scintilla Star is performing wonderfully. Please take your time to roam the vessel and become familiar with her faculties as this could be your future home should you choose so. Of course, the Svivren Enclave will always be welcoming to all" he concluded with a pleasant reminder before the announcement ended and the intercom fell silent once more.

Caedyn himself was eager to wander the Ship and see all that the Scintilla Star had to offer them.

Oros was of course hovering around the starship's archives. A few of Svivren's more treasured artifacts had been transported on board so they might be preserved in a completely controlled environment. It was strange to be back on a floating temple like this when once it had been so common for him. Piracy along the Five Veils route was under threat and the Svivreni were all too happy to lend resources to the Jedi who had done so much for trade and stability.

Will you join me on the observation deck?

By now Caedyn Arenais was used to the sage's unexpected mental intrusions. For a powerful telepath like Oros reinforced bulkheads might as well have been a transparent curtain between them for all it interfered with his ability to track and converse with the Jedi Knight. Two Trade Alliance sentries resisted the impulse to gawk at the floating jellyfish like creature which maneuvered past them.

Some of space travel's beauty was lost on the Jedi Master who did not perceive with normal senses but there was a certain kind of beauty in close proximity to a hyperspace corridor. He wished to congratulate Caedyn on the young man's efforts and gauge his resolve for the journey ahead. After all there was no telling what wonders they might find or strange new Jedi they could meet.

Milla watched the swirling blue of hyperspace with equally blue and excited eyes. Bare feet nearly bounced up and down as her tail kept time, all the while thoughts of prospective adventures filled her head. She had been on large ships before, but this was something else. An entire city in itself, traveling across the galaxy to who knew where. Well....someone knew where, just not Milla.

The voice of Caedyn Arenais filled the air around her as he spoke. He congratulated them all on a successful first jump to hyperspace. Then, much to Milla's delight, he gave them permission to explore the vessel which could be their new home if they chose it to be. That was all she really needed to hear.

She darted down the hallway, there was a lot of ship to explore and she had to start somewhere. Bare feet kept good traction on the smooth metal floors, aided by both the force and the unique design of the soles of her feet. Her tail acted like a rudder by keeping excellent balance so she could make tight corners better. She wove in and out of people with practiced skill, this wasn't the first time she had run wildly through hallways. The observation deck was her first destination.

It was nothing short of a lie to say that he was sold on the idea of calling himself a Jedi. Perhaps a couple of years ago, but circumstances had changed, his life had drastically shifted gears, and even the way he perceived the force was different. He wasn't a Sith by any means, his presence on the Scintilla among dozens of other force-sensitives could attest to that. That wasn't to say that he detested them even more than he did the majority of the Light-side organizations coming from the Core- which yes, he equally disdained, and that he was transparent about rather freely. They were just as pretentious as their dark-side analogs, and in his opinion they were literally just two sides of the same coin.

Hegemony and influence, that's all that mattered to both. Even if they refused to admit it, most of the powerful Lightside cults were benefiting off the turmoil of the galaxy as much as the SIth were. The thought was enough to scramble one's brain if they dwelled on it too much. In fact, Luc was beginning to do just that, and waived off the thoughts with a solid shake of the head. He'd found his way onto the Scintilla thanks to the handful of connections he'd gathered around the Outer Rim. Apparently they weren't some stoically-jingoistic force cult, and really were just out for the good of others. Their ties to the OPA -- which while Luc wasn't officially aligned, he had friends among their ranks -- suggested that they were worth the benefit of the doubt, at the least.

So far they managed to dissapoint his expectations, or should he say assumptions? It was a good thing, either way. They weren't the pretentious lot he assumed they would be, and they were welcoming in spite of his openly transparent hesitation to associate his name with their organization. They didn't bother him much unless prodded first, and that gave Luc ample time to settle into his temporary quarters. A few hours of rest, relaxation and cafeteria eating later, and Lucien was back to wandering the halls of the truly massive ship. It was a shame it was unarmed, he thought, though he respected that they were true to their beliefs; one more plus they had over the Core-worlders. His wanderlust brought him through the temple, and finally onward to a destination that truly made him feel more at home.

The observation deck was his destination this time around. He was a spacer- had been since his former Master did him the favor of ripping him from that game-of-thrones that was his homeworld of Serenno. The stars weren't visible when he arrived, at least not in their non-distorted form. Hyperspace was beautiful in its own right too. It provided him a comfort that reminded him of his days traveling on a ship just like this; a smaller ship indeed, but filled with life, and a master who eagerly taught him everything he knew. Thinking back to those good times made him really question if the exiled Prince had truly fallen from his path. "Pfft." Confidence set back in, and he rested the back of his head between laced fingers as he gazed out into the void by his lonesome. His trip to the Scintilla was just that; a vacation from the reality he lived, the force be damned if his current path was the result of fighting against destiny. He chose his own path, because it was Fate that almost forced him into the world of the Sith.

A silver lining his life was, indeed.
