- A very basic artefact, but one which Auksifas found very helpful in his travels around the planet of Shuqui the Mainju dampens the force signature of whoever wears it.
- Hidden in plain sight: The Mainju doesn’t cloak the user’s signature in the force, that would be too suspicious. Instead, it’s designed to suppress a user’s force signature to the point where they appear to be nothing more than a normal non-force user or a very weak force user depending on their strength.
- A cloak of grey: The Mainju doesn’t just hide its wearer’s force signature but also their affiliation in the force. A light side or dark side user will end up looking like a neutral user of the force, a barely trained one at that.
- Force begone: In the presence of a force nullification field, such as those given off by a Void Stone or a Ysalamiri the Mainju’s force abilities are negated leaving it as nothing more than a nice looking necklace.
- Active Use: While the Mainju is capable of cloaking the user's force signature it can’t hide the active use of force powers. Using a significant ability such as Force Lightning or Healing will disperse the cloak, revealing the Force User’s true signature. While the Mainju will re-establish the cloak this will take some time.
Auksifas Kal'Evos was a powerful force user, he had taken the backwater planet of Shuqui and populated it with his creations, turning it into a thriving economic powerhouse. A thriving bustling planet that had a fear and hatred of Force Users such as himself. While not normally a problem, very few beings on the planet were an actual threat to the Sith, he would like to avoid situations where he had to fend off large numbers of his creations, or the planetary government. The man had cultivated a reputation as a monk, the master of a temple high in the mountains for a specific reason, so people would leave him alone to continue his work.
To aid in his desire to be left alone Auksifas acquired a number of Ghostfire crystals, intent of making his life easier. The Ghostfire Crystals have a natural tendency to the invisible, capable of creating near-invisible lightsaber blades, this made them perfect for his purpose. Through the use of Sith Alchemy, he added to the crystals powers, altering them so they carried with them an inherent field of Force Stealth which would wrap around whoever wore them. This field allowed Auksifas to move around without being detected by force users on the planet, providing the reclusive Sith with an element of protection and anonymity.
Over time several of the necklaces were given away as gifts or lost, some finding their way off-world. Looking like a normal piece of jewellery these necklaces would sit unknown, their own abilities disguising their force signature until a force user stumbled across one and picked it up.
