BIOGRAPHY:
Maja Komnenic was born the only child to a couple of farmers in the tundras of far northern Ord Mantell. Only months after her birth, her parents vanished in the Netherworld Crisis, orphaning Maja. She showed great potential for the force even as a baby, and though her aunt and uncle who adopted her supported her, they were hesitant to send her to either the Sith or the Jedi.
Her entire family had been staunch supporters of the Republika Mantellska movement since before her birth, and as the movement gained traction Maja was pushed into it's youth wing. Though she supported the Republika, she was not as interested as the other youths in public demonstrations. Rather she taught herself Mantellian law and history, taking the erudite path to seperatism.
When Maja was 16, the New Imperial Order came to Ord Mantell and, like many in the movement, welcomed them. She was conscripted into the New Imperial Force Corps, or Imperial Knights for short, after they saw her untrained talents in the force as a potential danger. She had intended to train for becoming an Inquisitor, though the opportunity passed when the Inquisitorius was purged on Bastion. Thus, she remained in the Force Corps.
Like she had on her homeworld, she focused less on the martial aspects of being a Knight, and instead spent much of her time in the Imperial Library. She took an interest in the vast academia surrounding force use, though she eventually paid the price of delving too deep. In early 864 she was nearing a possible promotion to the rank of Knight-Errant when she began reading into forbidden arts and dark side esotericism.
She believed the war with the Sith could be ended quicker if the the Imperial Knights were to adopt the powerful techniques of their enemies. She was vocal about her opinions on the subject, but she had no power to change things, and her superiors believed they could still get her in line. Maja was declared Crestfallen on the fateful night when she accidently killed a friend while practicing a dark side ability she had learned. She was overwhelmed by sadness and grief at first, though she soon became enraged by the Knights, who she deemed cowards. She gave into her emotions, and fell to the dark side.
She evaded captivity using her forbidden knowledge, and fled across the galaxy. Wanted for her crimes by the New Order, she was forced into hiding. In the Outer Rim she heard word of gathering of Sith who had broken away from the Sith Empire, preparing to destroy it. She made her way to Tash-Taral, Little Korriban, and pledged herself to the Warlords of the Sith, hoping they could teach her to wield her frightening new powers...
