A relatively new company established shortly after the reclamation of Mandalore, Maji Ironworks was set up to be a company directly aiding the Mandalorian Union with vehicles, weapons and general-purpose armour for its soldiers.
While still small in physical size, the decently sized factory can work around the clock with its workforce of repurposed assassin droids tasked by the owner of the company, Shai Maji. And with several contacts, both inside and outside the Union, its owner can keep a steady supply of resources coming in and financially support it with sales to the MU and even several export cases. To help secure more reliable resources that weren’t linked to a few sketchy black market contacts, there were also plans to secure deals with more legitimate suppliers to have a reliable and steady flow of raw materials to build their wares.
After the loss of Mandalore and the fall of the Union, Shai packed up her company and searched for a new place to call home. It took quite a while, but she found it in the form of the Enclave's new home. With a fresh start on a planet rich with resources, Shai could truly push her company to its fullest potential. This time she also didn't have to resort to sketchy contacts in order to get raw materials or parts in order to make her company work.
RATIONALE
After the fight for Mandalore, Shai decided to put her knowledge of weapons, vehicles and armour to use to help the Union out. But as one person there was only so much she could do. So, when the Union offered her a chance to claim a piece of land for herself, she capitalized on the opportunity and claimed ownership of an old factory used by the Sith before the reclamation. For workers she reprogrammed the droids she also had in her possession to work on a nearly permanent basis but also put up ads to create work for the new and returning residents of Mandalore. With the goal of helping out Mandalorians as well as the dream of seeing her family name on a company achieved, she moved onto the next objective of making sure the company would continue to grow.
And she would do whatever it took to keep the family business afloat...
