Makeover: Clone Edition

After taking a break from her regular ventures which included aiding a Mandalorian bounty hunter and getting her hand sliced off (not in the same day, thankfully), Joza decided that it was time for a bit of a break. And what better way for the Zeltron woman to relax than to go shopping? She'd had enough of boozing it up, as much as she enjoyed the attention she got from the barflys. There was always a streak of danger involved, but right now she elected to do something safer. That, and she could use some new clothes seeing as her's got...ripped quite often.
Meandering through the mall on Naboo's Capital City, the redheaded Zeltron would hum to herself as she scanned over the various boutiques. She always took one lap before deciding on her plan of attack, taking the time to formulate a strategy as to which stores she should hit and in what order. Maybe if she put this sort of effort into battle, she wouldn't be getting hands sliced off.

Rook wandered through the large mall, earning looks of confusion as people glared at his outdated white and red armor. He began to feel a little out of place. Then again, what would a clone trooper be doing out in the open?

He cradled his helmet in his arm, moving it up to stare into the visor. It had been quite some time since he wore it. He had gotten his phase 2 shipped, but it never reached Kamino. Ah well.

As he was thinking hard to himself, he felt himself bump into something... soft. And a flash of pink dashed across his vision.

"I'm so sorry. Please forgive me."

Joza had stopped at a display window to appraise an outfit on display. It was definitely cute, but usually the window pieces were pricey…if it was even still in stock. Glancing at the storefront, she had to cringe at the crowd of people, mostly young women that had gathered inside the store. It seemed that the place was popular, and in the end Joza decided that the outfit wasn’t worth fighting through the throngs of bustling women.

Stumbling for a moment before catching herself, she looked up at the figure that had bumped in to her. Her eyes were initially hard out of reflex, and a hand almost went to her waist as if to reassure that her sabers were there and at the ready. But they weren’t, because who brought lightsabers into a shopping mall? At hearing the man’s apology, her visage softened and she took the time to look him up and down. Full armor? Lightsabers in a mall probably wasn’t the strangest thing right now.

“Don’t worry about it,” The Zeltron waved her hand casually, more interested in his state of dress than his apology at the moment. “So, you going to war on the high prices of smoothies in the food court?” She arched a brow, glancing the armor up and down as if to motion to it.

"Ahh... no." Rook chuckled a little, picking up his fallen helmet. "Well... hmm... how do I explain this without sounding crazy? I'm.... a clone trooper. Been around since the clone wars a long time ago..." He tried to smile to lighten the mood, but he could see the look of 'are you nuts' on her pink face.

Joza stared blankly until a light of recognition lit up her face. “Oh!” She exclaimed suddenly. “You’re one of those freezer guys, right?” She pointed at him as if she’d had some sort of grand epiphany. “But why the armor? I think you’re scaring people.”

"What? You think we get a salary? The war is long over. They never paid us anyway... and I can't just steal clothes." Rook scratched the back of his head. "Anyway... name's Rook. Or at least that's what my brother's called me."

[member="Joza Perl"]

“Ah…you do have a point.” She affirmed after he explained the situation. “Right then, Rook? I’m Joza. And it looks like you’re in need of some fashion help.” She gestured towards his armor with a shake of her head. “We’ll have to find you something that doesn’t scream ‘I just woke up from cryosleep’”.

[member="Sigma 2734"]

"Heh... I suppose I could use some new duds. Cause nothing screams 'I'm gonna blast your face off' like old republic clone armor." Rook flashed Joza a smirk, tossing the helmet in the air and catching it. "Shall we?"

[member="Joza Perl"]

Joza laughed, glad that he seemed to retain a sense of humor after being frozen. “Alright, let’s get going.” She waved him along, starting towards a store that she knew carried menswear. “So, any plans now that you’re out and about? Gonna rejoin with the Pubs?”

[member="Sigma 2734"]

"The Republic? After they boxed me up in a fridge, never to be seen again? That's a good one. You had me there." Anger lingered in his eyes, yet his tone was a joking one. "Never really been to social places... nothing but blasting droids into tiny little pieces..."

[member="Joza Perl"]

“Ah, point taken.” Joza admitted, able to feel his irritation due to her natural empathetic abilities. If someone had thrown her in a freezer for Force knows how long, she wouldn’t be too keen on them. It would probably be akin to someone messing up her hair. “So, you gonna drop the whole soldier thing? You could probably find work as a bodyguard or a bouncer or something.” She questioned lightly, eyes glinting as she sighted the particular boutique she was after.

[member="Sigma 2734"]

“If that’s where you’re most comfortable, shouldn’t it stand that you should continue?” Joza shrugged, she wasn’t the best at giving advice and certainly shouldn’t be following her own, given her history. “You might find something to fight for,” She paused as they stopped in front of the store she was aiming for. “Or find something else you’d like to pursue. Either way, you’re gonna need some new clothes.” Leading him in to the store, she turned towards him. “See anything you like yet? Or do you have an idea of what you want?”

[member="Sigma 2734"]

Rook looked through the vast amount of clothing, not really finding anything in his tastes. "No, not really. And if you think I'm going to wear a suit, you're the most funniest person I've ever met." He chuckled a little attempting to hide the two blasters strapped to his chest by putting them in his helmet.

[member="Joza Perl"]

"Alright then, no suits..." She snickered, shaking her head. "We need to find you some everyday clothes, anyway." She perused through the racks of clothing with an expert eye, glancing between Rook and the clothing as if judging what would look good on him. "How about something like this?" She held up a light, solid colored sweater for him to see. "It's well made and the material is warm enough to protect you from a chilly breeze be thin enough to be breathable." She checked the tag to read the list of materials and washing instructions before looking him over, clad in his armor. "No idea what size you are, so you're on your own with that."

[member="Sigma 2734"]

"I'll try it..." Rook took(haha that rhymes) the sweater in his hands, walking to the nearby changing room. "Uhh... I know this is a bit odd to ask... but... can you help me take off my armor?"

[member="Joza Perl"]

She arched a thin red brow at his question, a slow grin forming on her face as she fought to keep her Zeltron urges at bay. “At least let me buy you a drink first,” She joked before stepping towards him. “Alright, so how does this work? I’m no expert on clone armor.”

[member="Sigma 2734"]

Rook chuckled at her remark, flashing a smile to her. "With a Clone's salary? Might as well take you here and now." He laughed softly, slicking back his hair. "Right, there are these pins on the back of each piece. Give the pins a tug and they'll come right off."

[member="Joza Perl"]

“Oh? How bold of you. Can’t say I’ve ever done it in a mall before.” She replied briskly, chuckling lowly as she eyed the pins in his armor. There was no harm in throwing a little humor around, and he seemed game. Setting to work, the Zeltron would remove the pins one by one until she came to one that was a bit stubborn. Grunting as she yanked at it, Joza’s brow narrowed in frustration. “How do you normally get this off?” She bit out, pursing her lips in irritation.

[member="Sigma 2734"]

"It usually takes me hours... but back on Kamino there were these machines that did it." Rook noticed how hard she was tugging at the pin. "Take it easy. If it's giving you trouble, just slowly pull. It'll come out."
