Making Connections

Ra'a'mah Numare, better known as just Ra by most was a businesswoman and a Sith Lord. She was not one to show that off very often and instead maintained a neutral façade while conducting business. This was what she presented when meeting new people and potential associates.

She had sent out messages around indicating she needed contacts and people to run certain areas of business for her. One of them had reached out to her and they had agreed on a meeting to talk about what they could offer each other. Neutral location for both parties and a place to speak privately.

Ra sat waiting for Joran to show up. She wore black top and pants. Her boots were a very dark brown and the cloak was purple so dark it almost looked black. Her silver hair was back and braided with the ball at the end. Her visible weapons were a blaster and double bladed lightsaber hilt.

Sitting a table in a section that was set aside for her use, Ra watched the door for this potential associate to enter.

Joran walked into the restuarant dressed in a five-thousand credit grey suit, periwinkle striped button up dress shirt underneath, sunglasses, simple but expensive gold watch and tan rancor hide shoes. Normally, he would be over dressed wearing something like this but in the establishment he currently found himself in he was not the most over dressed. Heads did turn however as he strode through the dining room toward a private section near the back. Whether the heads turned because of Joran's sheer mass (six-foot-six, close to three-hundred pounds), his (in his own opinion) unrivaled good-looks, or because they knew who was already waiting for him was undetermined.

Joran Del-Finn smuggler, bounty hunter, mercenary and all around ladies man took a seat across from Ra and shot her a smile full of charm.

"Evening, Love."

Ra didn't have a clue on what the person looked like she had arranged to meet here, but knew it when he walked into the building. An almost wave of silence followed him and conversations resumed after he passed.

He was dressed nicely and carried himself with confidence that many people lacked. As he came into the private room and walked over, Joran gave Ra a charming smile, but that was as far as it went. His face was weather worn and his eyes held what might be considered pain or regret. She was sure most people he met wouldn't look past the smile to see what was deeper, Ra was different though and she saw that he tried to hide behind his appearance.

It wasn't any of her business and she wouldn't ask. Whatever it was didn't concern the matter at hand.

"Good evening, Mister Del-Finn."

She returned his smile with a polite and businesslike one and offered her hand to shake.

"Would you care for a drink?"

Offering that before getting to the reason she asked for him to meet.

"Captain Del-Finn." He corrected her as he shook her hand. karking Zuba. He would kill that Toydarian. There was no reason that woman should know his name. He would of prefered to have offered an alias especially after seeing the weapons laid out in front of her. A standard blaster pistol and a much less standard lightsaber. Joran didn't have a problem working for a Jedi or a Sith even but finding out at the table he was dealing with a forcer made him uneasy, but he could wish in one hand and poodoo in the other and see which filled up first.

"Would you care for a drink?" She asked with a polite smile.

"Thought you'd never ask." In all likelyhood she could already smell alcohol on his breath but that was none of her karking business. He waved a waitress over. She was human or near enough anyway, young to, couldn't have been older than twenty with sandy brown hair that stopped short of her shoulders and freckles that danced across her cheeks and over her nose.

"What can I get you?" the young waitress asked.

"I think, Love, I will start out with the firebud spread and flat bread, Also the seared lambro shark- sounds wonderful. Can I get that with a side of ruica and the potato rice? That's beautiful. A bowl of nyork chowder too." He said ordering his food as the waitress punched buttons on her data pad making sure not too miss anything.

"Two bottles of Alderaan wine as well, white, expensive." He finished with with a smile at the young woman who blushed and smiled back before turning to Ra.

"Anything for you miss?"

@Ra'a'mah

Ra ordered her drink and no food. The server went away with their orders.

She could tell he was irritated that she knew his name, but information gathering was part of her business and had him looked up along with his aliases before arranging the meeting. Knowing who she dealt with was paramount in business and what she had in mind.

Nodding her head, "captain then. Thank you for coming."

He may not know why, but Ra would let him know after their drinks arrived so to prevent anybody from listening in. When the server left, she looked across at him before speaking again.

"Call me Ra, easier to remember. I run an agency that you might be interested in due to your knowledge and expertise. You would be on my pay roll and any jobs that I might feel to be a good fit, I would forward on to you to take a look at."

Falling silent, Ra watched him for any tells to know if he would be interested or not. If he expressed interest, then she would provide for him any additional information he wanted.

"Okay, Love. What kind of work are we talking about here?" Joran asked her as his food and drink arrived. Everything looked fantastic but the star of the table was clearly the seared shark. cripsy skin that was still crackling as it was set on the table. The mouth watering smell of citrus and herb coming off the plate, Joran cut a hunk off and stuffed it in his mouth before pouring himself a glass of wine.

He was interested in a job of course, if not he would not have come but the fact remained. That lightsaber made him nervous.

@Ra'a'mah

Ra watched as Joran started eating and took a sip of her drink listening to his question. He appeared interested. If he hadn't been then he wouldn't have answered her add anyway.

She took a datapad out of the satchel she had brought with her. On the pad it contained a description of the various jobs she could offer. As well as open spots she currently had available. It gave the location of her facilities and how to reach her personally as opposed to going through the method she had put in the add. Setting it on the table, Ra pointed to it with a small nod.

"That there contains information on what I can offer. At the moment, I have more need of intelligence gatherers and assassins. If you can fill either of those, then I could have a job for you if you wanted. However, I don't feel that is your strongest suit."

His eyes still didn't show his smile, but his demeanor was friendly enough.

Koran swallowed his food and cleared his glass while looking over the data pad his potential employer placed in front of him. He committed as much of it as he could to memory. names, locations, contact information anything that could be useful to know or useful to sell.

She told him of her desire for spies and assassins while he poured and finished another glass of wine (his third) but it was what she said at the end that caused him to look up from that data pad

"Tell me, Love, what is my strongest suit?" He asked with the smile gone from his face but no anger in his voice
