Malevolence (Siobhan)

@Siobhan Kerrigan

It was an ordinary day at the office for Tegaea Alcori. Running a galactic power was certainly not all it was cracked up to be. If one believed the holonet or Game of Stars, rulers spent all day reclining on couches, being served by pretty girls and counting their money while having people put to death.
Instead Tegaea's life consisted mainly of meetings and bureaucracy. There were petitions, decrees, requests and reports. All of them probably vital in their own way but as a whole they formed a solid, indigestible mass.

The Lady Protector's office was near the top of the Omega Tower on Fondor. From there she had an unparalleled view over the city.
"Reports on the Valen situation, Lady," Anya said. The Eldorai Princess was her close aide and friend, her guide through the world of bureaucracy.
"Thank you, Anya. Go and see how Siobhan is doing, if you would."
If Tegaea didn't enjoy the 14 hour days, she knew her wife positively hated it. She would learn though...hopefully.

@Tegaea Alcori

Siobhan would have far preferred it if being on top was like Game of Stars. Spending her time seated on a comfortable leather couch, a secretary on her knees and between the Exarch's legs, perhaps another one on her lap while she ordered out death strikes to wipe out Sith, Bando Gora and criminal scum.

Well...she had wiped out the Bando Gora. In a brutal, bloody campaign, the bloodiest in the history of the Protectorate's armed forces. But the exterminatus had been successful...though it had left her as broken and wounded as her army. After Siobhan had torn another roof. Now she was largely recovered...though staying in hospital after getting several bones broken and being crippled again had awfully sucked.

Now she was back to...bureaucracy. MICO reports, petitions from local potentates and neighbouring minor worlds, progress reports and proposals from Omega Industries. The situation was serious, becoming grim, with the Sith Empire on the march, the Republic apparently getting its senate blown up by two Sith Masters...

Honeymoon was over. The clouds were darkening and though she tried to suppress it, she felt antsy. Or perhaps that was just the part of her talking that would prefer a good fight, however brutal that might be, to working through the mountain of paperwork. It was at this moment as Siobhan put another datapad aside and rubbed her organic eye that Anya, Eldorai Princess, Siobhan's friend and occasional lover, permanent troll, strutted in as Siobhan let out an irritated sigh at another report on dry economic issues.

She had just survived another meeting with economic bigwigs and business people from major corporations. She had the impression they were all there to fill their already bottomless coffers with more credits without actually delivering on time, but she was aware that her idea of motivating them would not be to Tegs' liking....so she had tried to be...nice.

"Ah, the gallant Exarch. How goes your navigation through the fruitful seas of bureaucratic process?" she quipped, for Anya was her friend, but also inherently a troll.

Siobhan made a face, looking annoyed, though the good-natured ribbing also lightened her rather dour mood. Why did she have to decide whether tariffs on agricultural goods from Dahomey should be lifted? Or deal with striking unions demanding a pay raise...apparently by arbitrating in a way that did not shooting the ring leaders.

"Very funny....no one told me I had to...sit through this much paperwork. Or...diplomacy," she sighed. "Sometimes I think Vader's idea of force choking bureaucrats and officers who failed wasn't half bad," she said. "That was a joke. I'll...learn and get through this. So what have you got...something new on Valen?" she asked as with a gesture of her hand the datapad Anya was carrying glided towards her. Siobhan had kept her promise not to blindly charge into every skirmish, much as she would have liked to go and fight the Sith on Yaga Minor, though the Sith's victory seemed inevitable there. She just...could not see herself being good at ruling, but she tried.

It was at this moment that there was a beep from Siobhan’s desk. When answered it was the security desk downstairs.
“Pardon me, Exarch, there’s a Miss Kur here to see you. She says she has a job interview with you.”
“I’ve been advertising for assistants for you,” Anya said, muting the speaker. “I thought you might want to be in on this interview.” Un muting the speaker the Princess spoke to the security personnel. “We’ll see her in meeting room seven.”

When Miss Sonae Kur arrived, accompanied by a security guard, she was led into the room. Sonae was attractive, blonde haired and with inviting brown eyes. She was dressed in an expensive yet conservative business outfit, and had only a small bag with her.

When Siobhan and Anya entered, she rose and held out her hand. “Exarch, it’s such an honour to meet you. I’ve been a great admirer of yours,” she said pleasantly.

Siobhan undoubtedly had her share of good qualities...somewhere at least. Unfortunately, among her flaws was the fact that she was rather vulnerable to a pretty face and, given the inferiority complex she had, quite susceptible to flattery, at least when it came from beautiful ladies.

Kerri...focus....you're working. Oh, and her eyes are up there. Yeah, there, the inner voice chided her. It would be perhaps best not to start the interview by hitting on the potential assistant right away. Sexual harassment charges were serious business!

"You flatter me, Miss Kur, thank you. Please take a seat," she said politely, smiling warmly and giving the woman's hand a firm shake, her fingers perhaps lingering on it just a bit longer than appropriate. With a casual gesture she politely pulled up a chair for Sonae. "So I hear you would like to join my staff. I'm of course always looking for...talent. We look after our people well, but expect total commitment. Could you outline your reasons and skills for the position, with references?" She had not at all been about to say assets!

Sonae blushed slightly at the lingering touch. When Siobhan used the Force to pull a chair out, she looked amazed and sat down, trying to compose herself. Anya smiled and left them to it.
“I’ve heard a lot of good things about you, Exarch and I want to prove myself up to the job!” she said eagerly.
“I’ve had a lot of experience working in government and business. Why, just last year I was put in charge of all of my company’s marketing and research division. The results were most informative. I’ve heard so much about the Protectorate and its mission and I wanted to make a difference and improve the galaxy. And if you don’t mind me saying, you look very good in the uniform!” she added shyly.

Siobhan flushed slightly at the compliment but her smile widened. She did, of course, have a tremendously high opinion of her looks, though the formal Exarch uniform still seemed too ostentatious for her, but it was nice to be noticed!

"Thank you. And I don't mind at all. Miss Kur. Don't be afraid to speak your mind, I don't bite. " I didn't say 'unless you want me to', so that has to count as sort professional! "You are...very beautiful and look great in that suit," she said warmly, eyes travelling over the form of the woman before her, before making a motion to a minion. "Do get two cups of starcaf," she ordered, though her eyes did not leave Sonae. Starcaf did taste heavenly after all!

"Glad to hear you're motivated like that. Not gonna lie, job's not easy, I'm still getting used to it. But we reward people who become an asset to the organisation very well. We could use someone with marketing expertise...lot of people outside still see us warmongers. Hell, some still think the country's called Omega Pyre! Guess me being a soldier for most of my life sort of contributes to that, been told I should soften my image," at that she chuckled slightly and winked at the woman. Unfortunately Linna Beorht was no longer fit for active service since Kaeshana. "What was the research your company worked on?"

"Oh thank you, ma'am," Sonae said in reaction to Siobhan's compliments. "I'm sure I can help show people what you're truly like, change their opinion of you," Sonae said fervantly.
"We worked on pesticides and delivery systems. Some people didn't like our methods, and it was my job to persuade them of our qualities. Unfortunately the firm was taken over by poor managers and I found my creativity hampered by interfering managers. But I'm sure things will be better here!" Sonae said.

Her conservative suit was very sleek and showed a very promising swell under her jacket.

@[member="Tegaea Alcori"]

There were situations where Siobhan could remain in control. She could not be called a great commander, but she could be inured to casualties and difficulties and ruthlessly press on. She understood warfare, did whatever it took to win, not letting anything else get in her way and distract her from her objective, as ridiculously brutal as her methods were.

Unfortunately, she was simply incapable of keeping her lust under control. Each moment just seemed to increase her desire for Sonae, who seemed so eager and willing. To be sure the woman had good references, but when push came to shove Siobhan wanted her right now.

"I can assure you they will be. We can use...creative people around here. We get a project proposed that's promising and benefits the Protectorate, it gets put into action. No meddling managers, no useless council, anything to give us an edge over our competitors because that's the only way you get somewhere in this Galaxy. But we expect top performance. I'd be happy to hear about the chemicals and delivery systems you worked on soon." she said with a smile. Siobhan had concluded that chemical warfare was quite efficient after all.

Her eyes were inevitably drawn to the swell under Sonae's jacket. Siobhan had clear tastes and liked her assistants rather busty. Her own bosom was already considerably endowed and her chest rose with an intake of breath. An aide, of course an elegantly dressed female Twi'lek, for Siobhan was sexist and practiced enactic succession at the workplace, strut in and put their starcaf on the table, giving Sonae a wink. "There you are, Exarch. Hope you enjoy it."

Siobhan pushed Sonae's cup over to her and incidentally brushed her hand gently against hers. "So tell me what have you heard about me, dear?" she asked softly, voice like a caress.

Sonae trembled slightly as their hands touched again. She swallowed and looked at the table, unable to look up. She pulled her hands back, folding them on her lap.
“I’ve heard you’re the Sword of the Protectorate…a hero! I’ve heard that you beat the Reavers almost by yourself, and that you can fly!”

Sonae looked at Siobhan. “I really need this job, Exarch. I spent all I had left coming here. I hoped you’d be able to put my skills to work….”

@[member="Tegaea Alcori"]

Fortunately for her part Siobhan was able to take her eyes off Sonae's enticing chest and look her in the eye, flashing her an encouraging smile. She flushed slightly at the praise, embarassed but also happy. Despite all she had accomplished, she was still a tremendously insecure person, awkward off the battlefield.

Perhaps it explained why she liked adoring fangirls as attendants. Presumably she would have less of an inferiority complex if she put some effort into learning more than just death charging.

"Well...I did have an army with me, warfare's not a one-woman battering ram job," she said in an attempt at modesty. "But, yeah, I can fly. It's really lots of fun. Still new to the political arena...but that's why I'm hiring intelligent, beautiful ladies to help out," she said happily.

"Don't worry...you seem just the sort of woman we need and we'll put your skills to good use. We'll hire you for a trial run at first, pending full contract after review. Princess Anya Venari de facto had your position until now, she will fill you in. She's good people, don't hesitate to ask her if you need anything. Or me. I hope us to get off to a good start," she spoke encouragingly. Get off...smooth, Kerri, real smooth, she thought to herself.

Sonae didn’t seem to have noticed the double meanings. Instead she broke out into a relieved smile. “Oh thank you, Exarch! I won’t let you down, I’ll make sure you don’t regret this!” she promised.

As she got up and left her pert ass was most appealing as she headed for the door.

“When did you want me to start?” Sonae asked at the door, leaning against the door in a way which accentuated her…assets.

@[member="Tegaea Alcori"]

It went without saying that Siobhan's eyes followed Sonae's delectable arse as she headed for the door, a very satisfied smirk written across the Exarch's features before she composed herself. It would not do to oggle her new assistant, but old habits died hard and she already had some definite ideas about how to test her skills.

Right now, under my desk, the thought shot through Siobhan's mind at Sonae's query, her new assistant so coyly displaying her bountiful assets as she leaned against the door. What the hell is wrong with me, can't I like talk to a woman without thinking of getting into her pants for five minutes, she wondered. Of course Siobhan was woefully unable to see anything wrong in her behaviour. Sonae was pretty, she was quite certain the woman would not be averse to her advances...if she was, Siobhan would back off, and she was sure her own judgement was good.

Pride comes before the fall obviously.

"As soon as possible. I think your...skills should be put to good use so you can show what an asset you are," she said with a smile. "Princess Anya will give you the details so you can familiarise yourself. It appears we might be getting a bit of a situation on Valen. Potential resources and PR department's talked me into authorising more morale-boosting vids about Gehenna to boost recruitment. Meet me later in a few hours...I like to work...closely with my staff. Welcome aboard, Sonae. You don't mind me calling you Sonae, do you?"

Somewhere, somehow, this writer knows that another Siobhan is smacking her head into a table repeatedly in the inter-planar theatre of dreams.

Sonae’s eyes opened wide, those big innocent eyes. “Today? Well…okay, if you’d like! I’ll go see her highness at once! It’ll be a pleasure working with you, Exarch. Please, call me Sonae.”

Perhaps somewhere closer to this reality, a sexual harassment lawyer woke up in a good mood because somehow they knew that they’d be getting a big case.

Or at least they would if everything was as it seemed.

Half an hour later Anya entered the room, a raised eyebrow showing she was amused and about to troll.
“Well, I see she passed the interview, but you failed to rip her clothes off before the contract signing. I’m taking points off for that. Still, I saw the way you looked at her. Please try and remember that we’re trying to avoid having orgies in the meeting rooms this year. It’s in the new year’s resolutions.”

@[member="Tegaea Alcori"]

Siobhan leaned back into her chair, apparently feeling terribly smug and pleased with herself. It was indeed a miracle that she had not been forced to deal with sexual harassment charges from lawyers.

"Oh, that's ok. There's the refresher and that spot in my personal training hall," she spoke in a very chipper tone. "And, come on, you know you're still my favourite! It's the ears, can't resist them. Besides, Princess," at that she brushed her lips against Anya's, giving her a light kiss before pulling away. "Alright, work. What other pressing government issues do I have now? Who's may or may not be plotting to invade us now? Got word back from Omega Industries about the Manticore production orders? Some unverified reports suggests Valen might've...cortosis. Best have the big guns out and ready."

“How dare you touch me, human, I will have you severely punished for this!” Anya whispered enticingly at the kiss, then her face went back to business.
“They’re going well. I’ve allocated extra resources so we should have the first hundred ready for duty within a week. A thousand within the month, and then go from there.”

She turned. “Try to go easy on the new girl. Don’t bring out the handcuffs just yet…not until the second day anyway!”

@[member="Tegaea Alcori"]

"I'm sorry, Highness...I just can't resist your absolute perfection. Please whip me bloody, I am an unworthy monkeigh," Siobhan responded with a totally straight face, her tone turning submissive before she as well turned back to business.

"That's good. Nice work. We'll need them. If Valen's as important as MICO every power will want a piece of the cake. And that's not even counting in Fringe making a housecall at Thyferra or CIS hitting from the south. Can't count on the Republic doing anything to help. Think we should allocate resources to the trihexalon we got on Maramere as well," she said cynically, giving Anya a light pat on the shoulder before she leaned back to light a cigarette, taking a drag.

"No worries, I'll be gentle and use the silk cuffs, and if she doesn't like the attention of my immense charms I'll back off. See you later this evening. You're a big help, Any," she said.

Anya muttered something in Eldarai which did not sound like a compliment. ‘Any’ was clearly not a name she liked much!

True to her word, four hours later Sonae was shown in again. She held her contract in her hand and offered it for Siobhan to sign off on.
“Thank you again, Exarch. Where…where should I start?”

@[member="Tegaea Alcori"]

Needless to say this put Siobhan in a smug mood. She liked Anya a lot, including her trolling, but sometimes the Princess needed to be taken down a peg. However, then she had to return to the tedium of paperwork and bureaucracy, but within four hours Sonae had returned and this could bring a smile to her face.

Siobhan accepted the contract smiling and with a flourish signed it, handing it back. Her tone was warm and friendly when she spoke up. "There, welcome to the Protectorate. I'm sure you'll work well under me. We'll start small...could use your ideas for official Public Service Announcements for the populace," she passed over a datapad to Sonae that presumably had information on what was needed.

Perhaps the Protectorate had some sort of equivalent to the Protect and Survive movies. "Feel free to unleash your creativity a bit. I will catch up with you later. Got a meeting with the Lady Protector." Yes, a meeting of some sort. With the woman who was not just her boss but also a wife, though the fourteen hour days meant their time together during the day was limited.

@[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]
Tegaea was in her office meeting some planetary governor or other. When Siobhan entered she rose and gestured to her.
“Exarch, this is Governor Tanis of Vandelhelm. He’s going to be officially inaugurated tomorrow, and I’ve assured him of my full support.”
Tanis nodded. “My thanks, Lady, Exarch. I will see you tomorrow at the event.”

Once he had gone Tegaea gave her wife a fond pat on the shoulder. “How’s things? I hear you have a new secretary. Please don’t give this one cause to go to the papers like the last one,” she said fondly.

@[member="Tegaea Alcori"]

"I did go easy on her. Just being welcoming to a woman who'll hopefully be an asset," Siobhan pouted but then nodded demurely. She had not really been that forward with the last secretary. Well, perhaps, but contrary to popular belief she did not insist on sexual favours to get a position! Most ladies under her just seemed to....be very willing to get under her desk and she did like the ladies. Nor did she insist on very short leather mini skirts, she was fine with elegant suits. Stupid press.

"I'm good, thanks. Working through a mountain of paperwork, meetings, petitions. Well, you know how it is...you just made it look so easy! But I'll be getting there I think. Not gonna disappoint you," she said in a softer tone as she looked at Tegaea. As had been said at heart Siobhan was a deeply insecure woman, something which might fuel her desire to keep adoring fangirls around, perhaps her death charging as well since that was what she knew. Around Tegaea she could let her guard down and not pretend, but she owed her wife a lot.

"Anya reports we should have the first batch of operational Manticores in a week. MICO's looking into the Valen situation. So how are things on your end, love?" she queried, giving Tegaea's shoulder a gentle squeeze.
