- Disruptor- Being a Disruptor-derivative weapon, a pistol in particular, this pistol is particularly deadly, with a single shot to bare skin enough to instantly vaporise most beings, and cause grievous damage to most materials.
- Thermal- In order to better function in circumstances where vision is limited, this pistol has had a thermal scope mounted to it's rail.
- Accommodation- So that this pistol may gain a performance increase, the barrel was elongated, and muzzle brakes implemented.
- Slow- Due to it's nature as a Disruptor, further limited by it's size, this pistol has a very low rate of fire.
- Short- As it is a smaller weapon with a greater power output, this pistol's range is limited.
- Shallow- With the demands of being a Disruptor, this pistol can only manage a small number of shots, twenty to be specific, before the power cell must be exchanged.
Disruptors are powerful weapons, and most Mandalorians have at least one disruptor in their arsenal. However, they're very large and bulky, too awkward and not nearly versatile enough to make up for it. So the Mandalorians created their own variant of a Disruptor, a Disruptor Pistol. The design has been around for millennia, serving Mandalorians for just as long.
The Mandalorian Disruptor Pistol may have fallen out of fashion in the past millennium or so, but that is not to say it is not useful, particularly to a clan of such warriors who make their home in a jungle. To those people, a weapon that can deter creatures the size of a tank, if not kill them outright, is invaluable. So it should come as no surprise that one of the most zealotic of these people has his own, customised to best suit him.
The Disruptor Pistol of Volo Skaigh has a few improvements different to others of it's kind. For starters, it has a scope spanning the length of the gun, mounted to the rail, that serves the function of showing all that it sees in thermal vision. This is a particularly invaluable trait of an invaluable weapon, allowing the user to compete against the prey that lurks in the jungles the weapon was designed for.
The barrel, of the gun also incorporates several muzzle brakes to better disperse the build up of gases experienced with the high-power bolt created by disruptor weaponry. The barrel is also elongated to accommodate the powerful bolt, serving a technical purpose.
