- Forest Nexu-Eyed: Through alchemical means the cloak has eyes spun through it. This allows the cloak to warn its wearer of any danger through a telepathic connection. It could theoretically also serve as a conversational partner, but really who wants to talk to a Nexu? The eyes have the same ability as a Forest Nexu because of this. It can see into the infrared spectrum.
- Aggression: In times of danger the cloak influences the wearer. They become more aggressive, less likely to back down from a threat, but also better able to withstand effects of fear and terror on them.
- Danger-sense: Through the usage of Sith Alchemy the Nexu-eyes were grafted and spun into the cloaks, connecting them to the wearer with a telepathic bond, allowing them to warn of any incoming danger. The saying 'have eyes on the back of your head' is now almost literal. You're welcome.
- Energy: The shell-spider silk is good at deflecting energy-based weaponry, which is augmented by alchemy.
- Kinetic: The same can be said about kinetic attacks like knife stabs and the such.
- Alchemy: As durable against lightsaber attacks and other forms of damage as an average alchemical creation.
- Just a cloak: Doesn't provide full-body protection and its fairly light, so even a stiff breeze can suddenly strip away protection that you were counting on.
- Darkside: As a creation of the Darkside it echoes within the Force. Any Lightsider worth their salt in sense can sense it, unless the wearer has any other defenses against detection.
- Ysalamir: Anti-Force mechanisms lull the eyes into sleep. It's really the only time they get some rest, so can you blame them?
This was the first time it happened to her.
She went to sleep.
She woke up in the middle of the night, bend over the crafting table in her ship, still working on... something. She felt nauseous, blood steeping from her nose, a headache already forming and yet Ceri couldn't help but feel satisfied at the creepy creation in front of her. A cloak and it was blinking. At her. It seemed pretty miffed, honestly, but for some reason that didn't seem to bother Ceri whatsoever.
She made more after that.
That felt right too.
Maybe it should have creeped her out more, but ever since she blinked up from that bench on Sluis Van? Her hands had been itching. Only after finishing the last cloak did it subside. At least for a little bit, but Ceri would take it. She could remember shards of the creation process. As if she was looking over her own shoulder. The hunt in the night, a knife (that she couldn't find now) bloody and shining in the moonlight. Hunting the hunter. Extracting what she needed, before returning to the ship. A feverish sprint as she tried as fast as possible to commit the idea in her hand into the silk in front of her.
The connection to the Force, she had heard of it, but apparently she could use it too?
It made her feel nauseous and then it made her feel powerful.
The grafting at the end, which fused the spirit of the Nexus to the silk. It took hours for the first one, but her hands remembered even if her head did not.
It would be enough for now.
