OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

  • Name: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Arkanian/Legends
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Origins: Arkania
  • Average Lifespan: Several Hundred Years.
  • Estimated Population: Inter-Planetary
  • Description: Their physical forms are made from a combination of various species best qualities and cybernetics, which they consider perfection. They exist as a digital medium however, stored in a version of the Marasan Mindnet.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION

  • Breathes: Type I - IV
  • Average Height of Adults: 2.4 m
  • Average Length of Adults: N/A
  • Skin color: Darker metal tones.
  • Hair color: N/A
  • Distinctions: Their forms are utterly alien, more akin to the Marasan that their origins were twisted from and yet far more imposing. Given the nature of their physical form it's almost impossible to tell where machine begins and organic ends.
  • Races:
False Organics: The only true alternate versions of the Marasvin are the False Organics. Sent as spies to live among the other races of the Galaxy, their shape is the only true difference between them and the core of the species. They match whatever species they were made to infiltrate, and often they were once someone of that species assimilated to the Corenet.
  • Force Sensitivity: Standard
Strengths:

  • Superior Genes: Their physical forms are made with the best of all the species they've assimilated thus far, enhanced further by the cybernetics they can easily incorporate.
  • The Corenet: Their physical forms are satalites. Puppets each controls while it's connected to the Corenet. As the name suggests, the Corenet is where they house their consciousnesses, taking it a step farther from the Mindnet that the Marasan employ. So long as they are connected, their physical forms can be rebuilt and remade.
Weaknesses:

  • The Puppet: Without a connection to the Corenet the Marasvin's physical forms are little more than puppets with their strings cut. Or, worse, a Marasvin alone. If their consciousness is trapped within their physical form they can be easily erased.
  • The Corenet: The basis of their society and the core of their civilization is the Corenet. A server that holds all their consciousnesses and allows them to grow and spread. They have numerous to avoid complete destruction, but even loosing one has millions of lives lost.
CULTURE

  • Diet: Other - Energy. They need power to keep their Corenet's and physical forms active.
  • Communication: Much like the Marasan they communicate through the Corenet's instantaniously, sharing opinions and thoughts efficiently and accurately. Otherwise, they can speak the languages of those they assimilate, including Galactic Basic.
  • Technology level: They are technology as much as they are organic. They're advanced, building off the Arkanian's that had created them.
  • Religion/Beliefs: Perfection - Adopted from the Arkanian's that had created them, they believe themselves to be the basis of a perfect species of the Galaxy. Mix that with the fact they can further assimilate other species, and it's become not just pride but a quest to enlighten the other species and bring them into their Corenets. They seek to find what they call True Perfection, when they have fully absorbed all information and found how to make themselves truly perfect.
  • General behavior:
The Corenets: Belonging to a Corenet is the very basis of their culture. It is how they share their voices and thoughts, furthering to advance their technology. It is described as belonging to a symphony of cords, all playing harmoniously. To be without is the basis of anxiety and fear in them.

Advacement: They are perfection, but they can be further improved. The assimilation of other species unlocks new potential, giving them new ideas. It's exciting to them to learn more, and they seek to find all knowledge within the galaxy.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The Arkanian's believed themselves perfect. They experimented on all manner of alien species over the centuries, seeking to understand the genetic makeups and see just what they could make, for better or worse. Untamed and unregulated they created beings such as the https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Assimilator, and some took it a step even farther. The Marasan were the basis of this next endeavor. Assimilator, Marasan, what if they were combined? It was a question asked, and a question they shouldn't have sought an answer for.

The Marasvin were made in secret, an experiment and interest in being able to put mind into machine and to create a species unbound by the limits of either. The first Corenet was essentially an attempt at a living AI, connecting dozens of Marasan that had been ruthlessly experimented on and altered via cybernetics based on the Assimilators. The Corenet gave them a freedom the Arkanians didn't understand, however, letting them build further in secret a more perfect form than the broken shells they had been experimented in.

The first Marasvin in physical form tore through the lab, slaughtering the scientists behind their creation by the outside eye. In reality, they had assimilated the doctors, bringing their minds into the Corenet to keep their knowledge.

Then they spread. Finding a home outside the Galaxy amongst a field of asteroids they created and replicated, growing more and more until the day they would return to the Galaxy and find their True Perfection.
