Rhen Qel-Droma
Corellian Jedi
Everyone has been waiting for it. Things have been so hectic that we haven't had a chance to really nail this down.
However, let's make it a reality.
We are doing it early so we have the entire month to RP this.
Taking the input from [member="Ajira Cardei"] and [member="Zark"], here are objectives:
HEX OBJECTIVE
The cleansing of Vahl - Tython
To reach the Tython system, deep in the turbulent Core, requires the New Jedi Order to draw on the Force and assist the navigators of the Galactic Alliance. Tython is an ancient Jedi world, but the Alliance as a whole has interests in the system too. The One Sith used the Tython system as a major fleet staging point. Scouts have confirmed that rogue elements, bereft of leadership, have concealed themselves on the system’s numerous worlds. On Tython itself, the Force is crucially out of balance.
Objective A: Reconnection. The Tython system contains numerous inhabited planets and moons. Intrepid Alliance vessels must make a whirlwind tour, planting secure communications relays and sensor emplacements, while chased or obstructed by rogue Sith forces.
Objective B: Redemption. A valley on Tython was the epicentre of a Sith ritual. Twisted trees and malformed Flesh Raiders surround the valley’s blasted land. A powerful storm covers the valley: the Jedi must approach on foot. At the site of the ritual, it may be possible to begin the healing process.
Objective C: Resurrection. Tython’s moon, Ashla, was once a place of exile and meditation for Je’daii who strayed too far toward the Light Side of the Force. Rather than disturb the ruins of thirty-six thousand years, the Jedi must build a new and symbolic temple.
Objective D: Retribution. Unknown Sith have taken an interest in the Tython system -- or perhaps the Alliance brought them here unknowingly. Identify and foil their plans.
Other Planatary Objectives in the Hex
In the wake of the campaigns at both Atrisia and Bomis Koori IV to contain the fallout of the One Sith, the Galactic Alliance Defense Force is recommitting its efforts to secure the Deep Core and stamp out any remaining organized resistance. When the Sith power structure collapsed it left much of its galactic infrastructure intact and ripe for the taking by the most powerful, leaving the Core far from the beacon of civilization as it has been historically known and much more like an unstable sector of the Outer Rim. Worlds in the process of healing the ravages of Sith occupation are beset by warlords and opportunists, and while the New Jedi Order seeks to reclaim Tython it is up to the rest of the Alliance from their base of operations on Coruscant to restore some semblance of safety and stability to a region still on the precipice.
The Men In the High Castle - Liberation of Anaxes
In the void above Bomis Koori IV, the Alliance defeated the forces of the Vanguard and with it the largest beacon for the servants of the fallen Sith to rally to. But it was not the only beacon, nor was Bomis Koori the only remaining stronghold. On the fortress world of Anaxes what remains of One Sith fleet command now rules their planet with an iron fist and terrorizes nearby star systems in an effort to govern through fear. Led by a Joint Staff Council, much of the region is now under the de facto control of an unstable military junta.
With just enough ships to be able to flex their muscle in the immediate area, the Sith remnant does not pose much of a threat to the Defense Fleet. The real challenge lies in assaulting Anaxes itself. Built to withstand sieges, much of the world's infrastructure is highly resistant to orbital bombardment, and sports an impressive array of planetary defense weaponry both on the surface and in orbit. Not eager to wage another war like the one on Atrisia quite so soon, Alliance FLEETCOM is searching for alternatives. Rumor has it that planet's leadership is much more internally fractured than it presents to the public, and there are whispers of a cult of Dark Side worshipers at the highest levels. If the Joint Staff Council were to be neutralized or exposed, the Defense Fleet could assault in force during the disarray and hopefully take the world relatively bloodlessly.
The Bank Job - Diplomacy at Aargau
Under the nominal "protection" of Anaxes, in reality the Bank of Aargau pays the remnant Sith to more or less leave them alone. Rife with corruption and war profiteers, the Bank projects an image of reform to the public all the while those within the corporatocracy who conspired with the previous regime seek to bleed the coffers dry and then make their private escapes before they are discovered. In the meantime, through coordinated efforts these elements within the Bank have exacerbated diplomatic efforts between Aargau and the Alliance.
As Alliance friendly corporations seek to aggressively expand their enterprises onto the banking world, Rogue Squadron and select members of the Merchant Fleet have been tasked with the highly sensitive and extremely dangerous mission of infiltrating the Bank's main headquarters in New Escrow and retrieving unaltered documentation of the bank's finances. If they are successful, those ultimately responsible will be purged for violating the Third Statute of Aargau: willfully conspiring to defraud, discredit, or deceive the Bank of Aargau. But if caught, not only would it be a diplomatic crisis but those captured would face their own charges of Third Statute violations, the penalty for which is death.
And as always the BYOO.
However, let's make it a reality.
The T3 will be posted March 1st
