His Arkanian blood is evident at first glance, by the color of his hair, paleness of his skin complexion and the unnatural whiteness of his pupils. He is of average height and medium build, conditioned after decades of physical training. Uncharacteristic of his ancestry though is his short hair, recently cut short with little care or thought to its appearance. Marcion also has two prominent scars down his face that he refuses to remove.

On Arkania, Marcion wasn’t like the other Arkanian boys. Though an active kid who could match the others both physically and intellectually, he could never quite fit in; That his parents could see. When he turned five it grew in severity; with bouts of passion and emotion, plates would shatter, or objects would fly across the room. Marcion’s Parents, seeing the force show itself in their young son, presented him to a local Jedi Master… That was the last they saw of Marcion.
In some ways Marcion Caetos found the move to the Jedi Temple a welcome change. Finding an answer to the strange happenings and finding a people that he could belong. On one hand he was a force sensitive, and a Jedi, with a clear path and place set out for him in the Galaxy. Yet, he wasn’t like them: He was Arkanian, born and bred to be Arkanian. As a ten year old, on the cusp of the time when the Knights and Masters chose their padawans, his instructor, a caring an older man, warned him. If he did not ingratiate and connect with his fellow younglings he would never become a padawan.
In the years following that conversation, Marcion Caetos made a concerted effort to gain acceptance among his peers. Recognizing his determination, an Arkanian Jedi Master took compassion on the youngling and chose him as his Padawan. Under the guidance of his Master, Marcion grew into a sensitive and compassionate young man. Both his peers and superiors noted that while he could be reserved and challenging to connect with at times, the Arkanian possessed a heart brimming with untapped potential for empathy and kindness. He was a teenager who felt deeply for the suffering and the disheartened, extending not only care but a willingness to share in their sorrows.
Marcion Caetos epitomized what he termed a 'warrior philosopher', firmly believing that a Jedi should embody both the strength to defend the vulnerable and the wisdom to inspire widespread positive transformation. Marcion grappled with the urge to protect the individual in distress while also striving to allocate the necessary resources and efforts towards effecting lasting change, thereby preventing the ongoing suffering.
Following his own Padawan Jareth Horne completing his trials and becoming a Knight, Marcion has been appointed Jedi Master of the New Jedi Order. With his newfound responsibility, respect, and mandate within the Order, he continues to seek out how he can provide lasting change in an unstable Galaxy.
