STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
Strength-Focused- Competent and efficient in the field, calm under fire
Strength/Weakness-Decisive/Impulsive- Has a tendency to act, even if inaction may have been better, goes with gut.
Weakness-Socially Inept- Has a bluntness that serves him well within the confines of the Legion but doesn't translate to his general interactions with others. Marcus won't be winning any elections anytime soon.
APPEARANCE: Tall, built, and keeps a Legionnaire's posture generally. Keeps hair short cropped and clean shaven per regulations.
BIOGRAPHY: Born in Livien Magnus on Ord Radama to a pair of industrial workers, Marcus seemed fated to a life of metallic fumes and long hours in one of the planet's booming factory centers. Millions upon millions followed along the same lines with a fairly linear course. One of the few ways out for someone in that sector was the Legion. The Recruitment Office sat along the edges of the Workers' Living Blocks, apartments given by the companies operating there for the workers to call home. Opinion on service varied among the various members of the lower class in Marcus's sector. Service was a way to get out, a way to leave the choking hazy fate that hung like a cloud over the entire region. It was also a good way to get killed. The Legion tended to have a high mortality rate given the danger inherent in their jobs and the ever changing galactic landscape. Most knew someone who'd given their life in service of the Emperor and not all saw the necessity of such sacrifices. Marcus's parents were among this category and attempted to lightly discourage their son from seeking such a profession after he showed an interest in old stories about past conflicts from a young age. Though it was only a gentle protest, any talk against absolute loyalty to the Empire wasn't a light conversation topic, and few wanted to know precisely where the line was drawn on speech.
Marcus categorically disagreed. In the Public Education Center he saw old holovids of the history of the Empire and was quickly enamored with the idea of military service. A chance to get out and maybe make a mark on the galaxy beyond producing vehicle hulls for faceless companies. For years this continued and dreams of traveling the stars as a soldier for the Emperor dominated much of his thoughts until his later teens, when more worldly distractions took him in the direction his parents had went. Marcus worked as his parents had and got caught in a similar cycle of work, intoxication, sleep, and work again. He forgot his sense of duty and almost his sense of self, nearly succumbing to the nihilistic attitudes that so many on Ord Radama struggled with from time to time. He wasted six years after the end of his Public Education Cycle like that before remembering himself and what he'd wanted before. Marcus cleaned himself up and enlisted, being swiftly shipped off to boot before completing his MTB-5 training and being officially fielded as a full fledged Legionnaire. He's since been shipped off to fight the enemies of the Emperor, under an as of now unknown unit and commander.
Both of his parents where force sensitive but suppressed it through their life choices until it was little more than a faint whisper, Marcus felt the force vaguely when he was a child, the talents never physically manifesting. As Marcus matured and began down the road his family had the force grew further away and has only recently begun to whisper to him again. He remains ignorant of his sensitivity.
