Marihn Rence, former Imperial Scientist and governor of Oben, is the newly appointed Moff of the Kushibah and Ord Radama systems. Callous, cunning, and pragmatic, she sees herself as a true enforcer of the Imperator's will, showing nothing but fervent loyalty to the New Imperial Order.
P E R S O N A L I T Y
Marihn Rence is bold and brilliant. Ruthless and pragmatic in her methods, while upholding a charming and confident appearance. It is this rare, invaluable combination of traits that makes her able to hide her borderline psychopathy so well.
In truth, Marihn Rence is a callous and cruel woman. Someone who only serves her self-interests, with an indifference to morality. These traits originate from what once was her desire to avenge her family, by eradicating the Sith Empire. It was once the foundation of her loyalty, for her own interests aligned with that of the New Imperial Order. After the fall of the Sith Empire, Marihn devoted herself fully to the New Imperial Order, hoping to build a lasting empire as final insult to the Sith. With this cause in mind, Marihn believes the means justify the end. She has no qualms about manipulating others to serve her own or the Empire's needs, and tends not to give more information than necessary. Although she rarely keeps the important cards hidden, for she greatly enjoys direct confrontations.

While certainly relying on the core tenets and methods of Tarkinism - mainly controlling the populace through fear, propaganda and the projection of power, Marihn Rence is among the Felists at heart. She prioritises the unity and prosperity of the Empire above all else. She views herself as an enforcer of the central government, dispatched to strengthen the Empire wherever it's vulnerable or not functioning as desired.

Despite having grown up with many Imperial influences, Rence has always shown her appreciation for the culture and ways of the Knives. She shares their grace, reflexes and elegance with the Knives. But also their more well-known passion for individualistic expression, as is mostly noticeable in her striking appearance, dominated by her half-black and half-white hair. These traits, combined with her confidence, are with gives her a natural charisma and flair that's hard to ignore.
Rence typically wears outfits in a simple black-and-white colour scheme, most notably preferring a combination of black leather and electromesh when out in the field. While in no way impaired, she tends to carry a cane of blackened wroshyr wood with her.

Marihn Rence, born to the Governor of Cadomai in Sith space long before the first act of defiance, showed great promise during her childhood. Her parents had high expectations, ones she managed to meet by enrolling to the Imperial Academy of Science and Technology. Here, she excelled in several fields related to chemistry and engineering, which culminated in her recruitment to the Imperial Science Bureau.
Her world collapsed right after.
Without so much as a warning, her father was falsely accused of treason. Framed, as result of the cutthroat political games of the Sith. Despite their influence, connections and reputation, it led to the eventual execution of her father, mother, and siblings. Only she, due to the classified and complex nature of the products she worked on, was not put to death. Instead, she suffered through humiliation and degradation, her life forever changed by the deceptions of the Sith.
That was why, when Irveric Tavlar and Vaulkhar Zambrano began their rebellion, Marihn was among the first to defect and join their side. She aided the newly formed nation with her scientific research, involving herself in the development and mass distribution of fuels, chemicals, and experimental weaponry.
But Marihn aspired to a higher position. Believing the supply chains, infrastructure, and efficiency of the NIO's border systems could be improved, she approached the central government. Her ideas and arguments gained some backing; enough to receive a position as interim governor of the planet Oben. Her methods proved effective, and her career gained traction. Traction that eventually culminated in her promotion to Moff, assigned to one of the more defiant and troublesome sectors in the nation's south.

As a Moff, Marihn Rence commands the Sector Group of her respective sector. This includes all assets related to the administration, import and export, Imperial Military and Imperial intelligence present in the sector. Because her new domain has only recently been acquired by the NIO, these organisations have yet to be build up and established. Therefore, she has been granted one garrison of Imperial Stormtroopers and a small sector fleet by the Imperial government to enforce her will. The most notable starships of the sector fleet being the two Praefect-class Star Destroyers; The Admonition and The Offhand.
