Description:
The Republic Marines, also known as the Republic Marine Corps or simply as "the Corps", was first formed as a branch of the Republic Navy, which encompassed its primary ground forces and shipboard security personnel. Separate from the Republic Army, soldiers who served in the Republic Marines are considered to be among the best-trained and best-equipped troops that the Galactic Republic can field.

The Republic Marines are drafted from various local defense forces of the planets of the Galactic Republic. Only the best are chosen for this prestigious and very tough assignment. the Marines are tasked with the defense of the entire republic rather then a singular planet and as such they are constantly on stand by and ready to be deployed wherever they are needed on short notice.

Apart from their previous experience as soldiers in varied armies the Marines undergo an extensive test and training period before allowed to don the republic armor. during these tests the Marines are trained in both physical and mental durability. The troopers even undergo training to withstand mental force attacks. These sessions are provided by the Republic Knights that serves as instructors for the marines on these occasions.

With a long history of constant aggression from various enemies the Republic most Marines are part of a well tested veteran unit where most have seen action even before joining the Marines. This has given the soldiers an iron discipline and are considered as brutally efficient accompanied with some of the best training available for troopers at this time. Discipline along with some of the best trooper training available for storm troopers at this time. Having seen a multitude of battles on various locations the troopers have undergone heavy bombardment, facing siths in open combat, battled storm troopers of competing empires along with many other challenges.

Break down
This is 10 storm trooper squads each lead by sergeants very loyal to the ideals of their commander Weiss.
A Republic Marine company consists of 3-5 platoons where each platoon is commanded by a lieutenant. Each Platoon consists of 3 squads. Each squad consists of 10 troopers lead by a Sergeant.


Each trooper is equipped with the following armor, gear and weapons:
Marine assault armor
Helmet with HUD, night vision, range finder
Multi-Frequenccy Targeting and acquisition system
Personal energy shield
Cable launchers
Magno grip
Flares
Extra power packs
Stun cuffs
Med packs
Multi purpose arm terminal

Baradium thermal detonator
Cryo grenade
SA-300 Bladed Tonfa
T-998CBlaster rifle
T-600C Blaster pistol (sidearm)

Each squad also has access to one Portable Missilie launcher and one repeating blaster and one sniper equipped with a DC-17sn rifle.

I would love to further strengthen this through the Senate IC. Not necessarily the submission itself, but the concept of a Marine Air Ground Task Force similar to that of the US Marine Corp. Likely through our soon to be formed Armed Services Committee

I also would like to at some point develop and further the Republic Military Academy on Carida as the primary Recruit Training Depot for these guys.

[member="Weiss"], if you're interested, I made the Vanguard-class Space Armor for our space troopers. Basically it's sealed power armor with rocket pack and a few extra items.

I am going to submit this without the force resistance and save that for a future "special forces unit or possibly Senate guard unit"

We wont get the necessary posts for force resistance and we should have a unit ready for folks that want to play with it during the invasion, hence the sub is up. If nothing strange happens I will update the armory with the unit when its approved.
