Here's the draft of my annoucement:
Darth Timoris and I have been discussing some new thoughts for the training and I'm here to give you an overview.
Firstly, the time has come to realize the dream of the Togruta Overlord and see his labors rewarded by utilizing the Sith Academy on Glee Anselm!
Darth Pyrrhus created a rich environment and it is folly to leave it wallowing in the depths of the codex unused. In fact, the entire Training Grounds forum here will be transformed into the academy. So all new group training threads will be set at SAGA!
From an IC standpoint, all the training threads will be tied together by other non training RP threads that encourage interaction but are also set at the academy. Darth Pyrrhus is the Headmaster and we will be working with him to develop story arcs that help acclimate new arrivals to the OS and get them involved with some of the larger faction wide story arcs that we will be seeing in the next few weeks.
Next, in the new members area, we will post an orientation/FAQ detailing for new members (NFU or FU) wishing to be trained to report IC to SAGA, where they can immediately jump into any open training threads.
We will sponsor acolyte/recruit tourneys, some possible acolyte/recruit dominions or skirmishes.
Potential masters will be able to visit SAGA and pick up an apprentice at any time, or bring their apprentices to train with others in group format.
If you are training with us at SAGA but can't seem to find a master, that will not hinder you from being promoted up the ranks. The Promotion Thread Tracker is there for you to post your threads to so that Lords can monitor your progress and put you up for promotion when you feel you are ready for it.
Thirdly, we will have a posted schedule of training threads for both FU and NFU that cover a wide variety of powers, abilities, combat, and skills so that anyone may find something to help them advance their character in the direction they wish to go. We are shooting for 3-4 threads per month currently that will breakdown like this: 1 basic force power for acolytes, 1 advanced force power class for knights/lords, 1 combat class for either NFU/FU, 1 class on NF abilities/skills like slicing/espionage/diplomacy.
If someone wants to come in and teach an unscheduled training thread, SAGA is open to all who wish to learn.
Fourth, we will be adding to the library so that those who wish to gain more knowledge on the Sith can find it easily and help them get a better understanding of the many philosophies of the Dark Side.
But most importantly, what we need to know is who among the Knights and Lords of the OS are willing and able to take on a group training thread? Ideally, we'd love dedicated trainers who teach the new generations and form their stories around the comings and goings of SAGA. However, if you only stop by to do a thread a month or so, every little bit helps.
