BIOGRAPHY:
Born on Dathomir, Marshal was raised by his mother who fled to Dathomir after her Rouge Jedi husband was killed by the early Sith. His mother was forced to ask the Witches for assistance after this as the two had no source of income and they needed protection. The witches agreed on the condition that the two be there willing servants and that Marshal live on as a night brother who would fight for the witches whenever they called. Marshal's mother hesitantly agreed, not having much of a choice as the times during the darkness were hard.
Marshal grew up among the witches who could sense his force sensitivity and began teaching him as soon as he was eight years of age. His mother protested but there was nothing she could say or do to stop the witches from having their servant. Marshal was unable to focus in his youth and by the time he was a teenager he had learned very little in the ways of the Magick. The witches did not seize their attempts, they continued to try and teach him but he had moved onto the fascination that most teenage boys do, and that was girls. Specifically he had grown very attracted to the daughter of a witch, by the name Mira who had grown very attracted to him in turn. Much to the witches displeasure the two began neglecting their training in order to spend time with one another. In response the witches put a curse on the two that dictated that any love they had for one another would only end in utter heartbreak.
The two did not heed this curse and continued seeing each other for the next two years, when they both turned 18. At this point, both of them had grown tired of the witches and decided that they would leave the planet and live a simple life somewhere far away. Marshal's mother helped them pay a traveling smuggler who had made a short stop on Dathomir, who all too gladly accepted the mission to smuggle the two off planet. The smuggler shipped them off planet all the way across the galaxy to Tatooine where he left them to find their own way in life. Marshal worked hard as an assistant to a ship repairman and Mira found work as a waitress at a hole in the wall Cantina. The income was just enough to support the two, but when Mira got pregnant both of them knew that what they were making was no longer enough.
Marshal looked everywhere for work that would pay for the family, but not even in the criminal enterprise could he find a position that would pay enough. He thought that his family would end up starving on the streets when he found his saving grace. A travel who had come to get his ship repaired told him about glorious gladiatorial battles that took place on Geonosis and that if you could get a sponsor a single battle could win you a fortune. Mira protested against it, but Marshal had already decided that it was the only way he could support them. He left the next day for Geonosis where he found the gladiatorial arena packed with the natives who awaited the battle of a famous gladiator against a pack of Nexu. The armored titan killed each beast with relative ease, suffering only minor injuries.
The crowd of bugs cheered and Marshal knew that this was his chance. He had no idea how to go about joining the gladiators ranks, so he simply jumped into the arena and challenged the gladiator. The Gladiator gladly accepted, not expecting to be facing a force user. The fight would have been over quickly since Marshal had no weapons or armor, but he had his spells and he made quick work of the Gladiator. The battle won him enormous recognition with the Geonosisans and the sponsors who bet on the battles. He quickly found himself sponsored by a Hutt who advertised him as the first force using gladiator in centuries.
The fighting would go on for years and his first born, a daughter named Sira would be ten and his second, a son named Jor, five before his life would take a drastic turn. By this time his family had grown weary of his constant risking of his life in the arena, especially after he had been considered on of the many who all would love to kill in the area. He had become so rich that he had moved his family to Naboo where he had many opportunities to get a job that could help him support his family. He, however, insisted that he could only support them by fighting...but there was more to it. He had grown to love the crowd, the rush and the glory of combat and he was never going to let it go. Drugs had also made a way into his life, specifically exotic narcotics in the spice industries.
Regardless of this his children loved him and wanted nothing more than him to pay more attention to them, to be there for them always. The children would draw pictures depicting them and their mother frowning with Marshal standing in the distance with a happy grin on his face, along with other related writings and drawings. Marshal would realize this all to late, when he came back to Naboo after a month long championship fight on Geonosis he found his house empty. His family had left him, his wife had taken the kids off planet and left only the shattered memories and heartbreak in their wake. The only items left were the many writings and pictures drawn by his children and a heartfelt letter from his wife telling him of how he had ruined the only relationship that he had ever truly wanted.
Soon after he would return to Dathomir to consult his mother, only to find that she had died many years ago and he had never heard due to the need to not contact anyone on Dathmoir. He returned to Naboo, a broken man, and sold his house before moving to Geonosis where he would take up a permanent housing for gladiators, spending his winnings on drink and giving the large remainders to charities and causes. He has neglected to search out his family because he knows he is guilty for ruining everything he ever wanted and feels alone in the galaxy. He just fights because that is the only thing he has known, praying for the day someone slays him down and not even stopping after losing his right arm
The curse had been fulfilled...
