Head of the Family - Masaru is the Oyabun of a clan of Reki known as the Emerald Vipers, with all of the power and connections that implies. Beyond his illegal enterprises, he is also a major stakeholder in mulitple Imperial businesses.
Leg Breaker - In his earlier years among the Clan, Masaru served as an enforcer. To this day he remains in excellent physical shape and is an incredibly proficient Jar'Kai swordsman.
An Offer you Cannot Refuse - Years in both the criminal underworld and High Council of Atrisia have made Masaru adept at politics and negotiation. However his methods can sometimes lean towards exploitation of leverage or outright veiled threats... Many of which he has the means to follow through on.
Driven by the Code - Masaru is thoroughly wrapped up in the hierarchy of the Reki, bound by long standing traditions that can sometimes be more restrictive than any physical restraints.

Average height with a lean, tightly muscled build. He is impecably groomed at all times, and favors both immaculate, tailored suits and the traditional dress of the Atrisian nobility. An intricate tattoo covers his back, shoulders, upper arms and thighs, displaying a verdant floral pattern, interwoven with a nest of green snakes.
BIOGRAPHY:
From his childhood, Masaru was groomed for greatness. His father, a Yovshin noble, wanted his only son and heir to be ready to replace him when the time was right, and wasted no moments in instructing his child on his place within the world and how best to maintain it. Both as a noble of Atrisia, and the head of the Emerald Viper Clan within the enigmatic Reki. Masaru was 25 when his father succumbed to illness, and nearly ousted from his birthright by his uncle in a power struggle within the ranks. He had been prepared well, however, and the next year his uncle was dead and he had taken his rightful place at the head of his, admittedly diminished, clan.
He has spent the decade since rebuilding his influence on Atrisia, and gaining the grudging respect of his peers both criminal and noble. Few wear their ambition as nakedly on their sleeves as Masaru, but his risks have thus far been calculated enough to bear fruit. In recent years however, he ran into a limit on his influence. It was simply not possible to gain more of the power he so desired within the Reki without provoking a war between clans, there was not enough of Atrisia itself to go around. With the meteoric rise of Emperor Kahoshi, however, an opportunity presented itself...
Masaru has entrusted affairs on Atrisia to his most trusted lieutenants, and volunteered to aid the new Galactic Empire as a politician, diplomat and businessman. He plans to use his new position to spread the holdings of the Emerald Viper throughout the Empire's growing sphere of influence. In every new territory, his clan will be the first to arrive. His clan will push out whatever scum and villainy claim to rule the streets. And his clan will grow to be the most powerful among the Reki.
It is the most dangerous gamble he has made to date, tying the fate of himself and his family directly to the growth of the Empire, but Masaru Mori is very much a betting man.
