Masquerade Ball Date

While the Baron Administrator had never officially exiled him from the area, Torvas had lived in something of a self-imposed leave from Bespin for sometime so it was very nice to visit the city that he was born in, even though he had technically arrived under the auspices of a masquerade ball.

Cloud City was famous for her Masque Hall, which was the home to a never-ending masquerade ball that had seemed to just go on for years and years. He had not only been lucky enough to construct a costume that fit his unique biology, but additionally had been lucky enough to get placed on a blind date with the catch being that he hadn't known what the woman he was paired with was wearing.

For now Torvas was mingling amongst the crowd in the hall, dressed in a belted garment with tied ribbons around his sleeves and ankles that let it flow with him without ever getting in the way. He wore cloth boots around his foot-paws, and had a long scarf tied around his muzzle that almost hid the fact that he was a wolfman, with the obvious exception of his prominent tail being worn through a hole in the back of his garment.

Nevertheless, he not only wasn't sure of the costume that his date was wearing...he was also unsure of her species so he wasn't sure where he should begin looking, but then again this was all part of the fun of the night. There were eventually going to be some clues that [member="Taenya"] would drop, and then maybe he could find her in time.

To make things better for him, the writhing throngs of bodies, constant music and the disguises meant that no one that knew him from his previous life on Bespin would at all recognize him. For all they knew, he was just a Shistavanen visiting the city in his vessel. Since the faction to which he belonged was not well known and was indeed secret in its own right, it meant he had little to fear about being discovered.

Taenya would already be within the never-ending masquerade ball of Cloud City, her pale aqua dress flowing gently above the floor with an equally coloured angelic mask covering the young sephi's face. Already in the arms of another, though not unusual in this type of environment, dancing partners changing from hand to hand was seeming to happen all over the place and she was no exception, being swept off of her feet at one place and then simply being held close at another.

Slowly she would break off from the dance floor, slowly making her way to the open bar in hopes to hydrate herself from the sheer amount of dancing that she has been doing. Approaching the bartender, Taenya would ask for a glass of their finest wine and wouldn't be disappointed as she was poured a light pink looking liquid, after a single sip her mood would heighten and her adrenaline would start pumping, as a doctor she knew it was drugged but tonight wasn't a work night and she had a single letter on her mind, a letter that detailed the masquerade and was signed simple with, [member="Torvas Vief"].

While he never thought of himself to enjoy something like this, Torvas really had ended up loving the ball as much as everyone else had. He loved the feeling of being swept about, and apparently had a better go of it than some as a result of his biology. Considering that he had a tail he didn't have to fear getting thrown of his balance as those who were members of more humanoid species.

[member="Taenya"] was as much of an enigma to him as he was to her. He had only a few things to go on and he had been doing his best to figure out what she might have, well, smelled like. That wasn't an insult. Rather, since he was a canine he had hoped to eventually receive a dropped letter or something like the note that he had left her.

If he had, then he could take a nice big wiff of it and therefore perhaps find her a little more easily. Then again, the entire place was intoxicating. He hadn't taken a sip of wine, and wouldn't have taken kindly to the presence of drugs anyway, but the mere scent of all these individuals dancing was already overwhelming as it were.

For now, though, he just had to be focused on finding her.
