Masquerading The Night Away

There was a plan in motion, and because of the skills that both her and [member="Kacius Porte"] possessed, she knew that they would be able to get this job done, and it wasn't a hard one. It was easy, actually, one of the easiest things that she could think of doing, they just had to be good actors in this mission. Tonight, they were dressed for one of the Hapes Masquerade Balls, so she was in her dress and a mask that she thought would go rather well, although there was an ulterior motive behind her choice of dress..and that was to make sure that Kacius liked it. While they might have come together, and they kept in constant contact through small ear commlinks to make sure that nothing bad happened to either of them, he had yet to see her in her dress. He went ahead of her so that they wouldn't be caught together, or seen together, and then she got ready and came in after the fact.

She had to sneak in because they would scan for weapons...Jessalyn brought her blaster, attached to her hip on the side without the slit, which was still neatly hidden close to her. And even brought her datapad in her clutch that she had been holding on to. The goal was easy, and that was to get a hold of one of the higher ups, a rich aristocrat from Hapes who liked to throw his money around to the greedy companies and corporations. Jessalyn and Kacius both believed that they could do so much more with that money, and they had planned to do just that.

Steal from the rich, give to the poor.

As Jessalyn walked in, her blonde hair done up, makeup fresh and clean, just like someone of some kind of high up standard around here. Her hand went to her ear to press on her comm and spoke quietly as she made her way towards one of the bars. The place was several levels, so many people, it seemed so...extraordinary. "Hey, I'm heading to the bar on the first floor...what's your location?"

Simple job, task,mission whatever you would want to call it. This wasn't Kacius' first rodeo, stuff like this had become as second nature to him. And with Jessalyn here, things were kicking off splendidly. Better than he had actually thought to be quite honest. The Master dressed rather well considering he had to look the part for this particular event. He felt this aristocrat wouldn't know what him, at least until it was all gone. Was stealing very Jedi like, perhaps not, but giving to those that actually needed it was even better. Kacius walked towards the railing along the third floor. Overlooking the whole place, his eyes scanning over anything and everything.

Jessalyn's voice could then be heard as he nonchalantly raised his hand to his com in his ear and tapped the side button. "I'm two floors above you." Kacius responded back easily enough. His fingers strummed along the railing and he moved towards the stairs. "There's quite a big turnout tonight, If I wasn't here for a job. I'd really have some fun, ya know." Kacius whispered softly as he took the first step down, his hand moving along the stair railing. He made it towards the 2nd floor and moved towards the balcony as it overlooked everything again, from what he check was the security room was down here on the second floor. Yes as he glanced around, his eyes fell to one woman in particular. Kacius gulped slightly as he stared for what seemed like the longest time and then he chuckled slightly. "Why do you torment me so much..." Kacius whispered in the comlink as he looked away for a few moments, before looking back again.

A smile on the face of the young man, and he wondered if she could see it. "You look flawless, and that's because I'm not even up close to you. Imagine if I was, I wouldn't have any words to say other than just standing there with a stunned look on my face."

Her blue eyes were keeping a lookout on the entire area, and made sure that all of her contact information was correct...he was a man, dressed in blue with a blue mask. The sad thing is, there were plenty of those around, but she knew the look of this one particular man, so she would make sure that she watched for him. The tough part about this is, because there were so many people, it might have been hard to pick him out. But..Jessalyn was on a mission to do so.

"Hey honey, you wanna drink?"

She heard that voice in a somewhat faint way, to the point where she didn't even think that the man was talking to her, until he cleared his throat. Jessalyn then looked over at him, surprised, and then she smiled. "Oh, no thank you, I was just about to walk away and get some fresh air. Alone." The man then backed off, and she heard Kacius in her ear, saying that he was two floors above her. She moved up from her chair and then she walked away from the bar towards where the balconies were, and when he asked her told her about torturing him..she knew then that he could see her. "You're too kind to call me flawless..and I hope you have some words to say, because I'm about to be there in just a few seconds..."

Blue eyes moved up and she saw him at one of the balconies, looking down on her and she couldn't help but to blush. She did see that smile cross his lips and Jessalyn smiled right back at him. "No, I wouldn't dare try to torture you, Kacius." Jesslayn giggled and then she started to walk up the stair case so that she could be on the same floor as him. As he heels clicked with each step she continued to listen and talk to him.

Once she made it to his floor, she could see him in the distance and she slowly walked up to him. "You know something...you look just as good." Now, she was able to actually talk to him face to face.

Kacius smirked and even chuckled again slightly as she looked up to him and their eyes met for a moment. He watched her as she moved past a few people and was on her way up to greet him. The young man's fingers strummed again along the railing as he slowly, step by step moved towards the direction of the stairs, he could hear the clicking of her heels as she made her way up and her and that sound was seemingly the only thing that mattered for those brief moments.

"I can't tell, seems like you are." Kacius responded to her remark about not torturing him, in his own teasing like manner. He licked his lips just a bit as she made it up the second floor and was now on even level as him. He seemed to stop just as she did, as they stood just a few inches from each other.

"I think I did pretty good for the most part, You however have definitely beaten me on who looks better." While hard to deny for Kacius that he had some feelings for Jessalyn, as good a friends as they had been. He tried to be civil and remain as professional as possible. However when Jessalyn did things like this, it was rather hard.

"Are you spoken for, for the night. Or do I still have a chance?" Kacius leaned in as he whispered to her, a small giggled that followed.

He kept flattering her some more, and it only made her look down at the floor between them, which there was barely any space for that. She, too, had her own set of feelings for him, but it was complicated because they worked a lot together. Jessalyn would go off and do her own thing, her own jobs and get some money, but at the end of the day, she would always want to talk to Kacius. It seemed like she talked to him whenever she wasn't with him, and he knew everything about her life, that was all that mattered, and if she had him, that was something that counted.

"How about we call it even.." Jess said to him whenever he claimed that he beat her when it came to who looked better. But then, he leaned in close to her and asked her if she was spoken for, for the night or if he still had a chance with her. She only took a step closer and whispered right back to him. "I don't know...I had a handsome man at the bar offering to buy me a drink...but I think I have the most handsome man right in front of me." Jessalyn leaned in to give him a kiss on his cheek.

"Something tells me you'd rather have a good time here, live like royalty for the night, is that so?"

"Even, huh?" Kacius inquired as he raised his hand to his chin for a brief moment and then lowered it as she took a step closer towards him. "Even, would do just fine, for now anyway." He teased with a small smile and then she mentioned the man at the bar and his brow furrowed a bit. "It looks like I have him beat then, unless you can think of something else he might have on me."

The Jedi smiled a bit more as she placed a kiss on his cheek, she was truly something else. Ever since he met here those years ago, they have had quite the growing relationship between them. In many ways she was his best friend, and while at time he truly wished that was more, he didn't want to ruin anything. Even by bringing it up at all, if it was going to happen, it would. And if it didn't, well perhaps that was the will of the force.

"That would be awesome, wouldn't it?" Kacius said as he smoothly placed his arm around her and he looked out over the balcony. "Just dance the night away, get lost in the garden maze." Kacius giggled slightly at the thought of it. "However, we do have credits to steal, ya know?"

She had this appreciation for him that she could not let go of. Jessalyn thought that he was great...she loved his attitude, she loved how he worked, his morals and values, and even though he could veer off from things because of her, she found a way to reel him in. However, now she was thinking of doing the same thing as he sometimes did. She just wanted to forget the night and go on and do something else for once. She knew that they had a job to do but to live like this for just one night...drinking, dancing, having fun, she could just imagine how much fun it would be.

But when he put his arm around her, and they looked out on to the balcony, she let out a small sight and put her head against him. He was very tall, but she was pretty tall herself with the heels especially. "Yeah, I know, you're right...we have credits to give out to needy people. Blah, blah." Jessalyn teased and then she looked back over to him.

"So, you have a special way to find him? Or is this a typical search and destroy mission?"

"Or...we could keep the money for ourselves and retire and live in a mansion, just relax by the beach?" Kacius said with a small chuckle. "Perhaps that might take all the excitement away from things."

"How's this, after this job is over I take you out on a date, we can have fun then!" Kacius voiced as he glanced to either side of him, not picking up at all that he had said date in any sense.

"Well, not entirely, I do know that he will make an appearance at some point during this party, you will know when he does once you'll hear all the 'Ooos' and 'Ahhhs'." Kacius cleared his throat a bit as he glanced over to the back corner as he slightly jerked his head in that direction enough for Jessalyn to see. "Security wing is down that way, I plan on getting in and seeing where they have camera's are located, I'm sure majority of them will be located near the vault, on the upper floors. Think you can show some more leg and distract them for a minute while I sneak in?" Kacius inquired as he looked down to Jessalyn.

"Not too much though, wouldn't want a certain gentleman to get jealous, now would we?" The Jedi chuckled lightly.

"It's tempting, trust me, relaxing by the beach? Yes, I think I'd love that." Jessalyn only thought about it for a moment, though he was right, it would take away from the purpose of their mission, of their lives, so she figured that she might as well just get used to doing this time and time again. They would use enough for fuel, food, and some things to help them on their next mission, but would never keep all of the money that they took.

He said that he was so high up, that he would make an appearance at the party, people would be admiring him from the time that he would come in. And then he said that the security wing was in the back corner, so she took a look in that direction before she looked back up at him. "Oh, so you're using me to distract them, hm? I guess I could show a little bit, but I wouldn't want a certain gentleman to get too jealous...although.." Jessalyn leaned in a little closer. "I kind of like it when you're a little jealous."

Jessalyn giggled and she pulled back for just a second before she saw a man and a woman walking towards them. "Hey, hey, someone's coming, they look upper class..." She put her hand and slid it into his, to look like they were there together and dating, while the couple moved towards them.

"See, I knew it!" Kacius whispered with a small giggle when she mentioned that she like when he was jealous. Her hand slid into his as they could see the couple coming into play. Kacius looked down to their hands for a moment, and looked back towards the duo entering the area. "Bingo." Kacius whispered into her ear, as people lined up and started to applaud them. The woman with her arm around the guy happened to look directly into Kacius' direction, and in particular look directly at Kacius. A small,yet seductive smile showed across her face as she whispered something to her apparent lover or husband, whatever he was and she walked towards Kacius.

"Hello there, you look very handsome."

Kacius cleared his throat and nodded his head. "So I've been told a few times, you don't look so bad yourself." Kacius chuckled lightly.

The woman looked towards Jessalyn and gave her a small dejected look then looked back to Kacius, holding out her hand. "Dance with me, I insist."

Kacius cleared his throat as he looked from her to Jessalyn, and Kacius kissed Jess on the side of her head. "Sweetheart." Kacius took the hand of the woman as he followed her down the steps towards the first floor, but just before he looked back and winked at Jessalyn as he followed the woman to the dance floor below.

The couple looked really great, she had to admit that the man was so very handsome, especially in person. However, she still had chills whenever Kacius whispered into her ear, and she couldn't help but to look down whenever she heard the applause. But then she watched that woman, smiling and making eyes at Kacius...even when she had walked over, Jessalyn's jealousy rose up within her so much that she felt like getting her blaster out and shooting the girl...but of course, Jessalyn didn't do that. Instead she gave a look to the woman, as she did to her, and Kacius kissed her hand to dismiss himself to go dance with the woman.

Jessalyn huffed just slightly while she watched them dance, but it was no sooner that a man came up to her, a tall, kind, and handsome one held his hand out to her. "You shouldn't be alone tonight, miss. How about a dance?"

She looked over at Kacius for a moment, and then back to him with a nod. "I'd love to." Normally, she would turn them down, but tonight, she figured that since he did it, she would as well. She took his hand and they went to the dance floor, right near where Kacius and his...new girl was. His arms wrapped around her and he put one of his hands on her lower back, holding her close to him. It felt..oddly good. Different.

"You look gorgeous tonight..I'm just wondering your name?"

With a smile, she whispered gently in his ear, like he did with her. "Aurora." She lied, just because she didn't want anyone with her name here.

"Is that your girlfriend you are with?" The woman whispered quietly as her cheek was pressed against his as the song began to play. Kacius chuckled lightly, and cleared his throat. "Well, that would make the trip home awkward indeed, wouldn't it."

"What's your name?" She whispered as her hand traveled along his back. Kacius glanced over to Jessalyn as he gave her a small smirk before looking ahead once more. "James, I have to say you dance quite well." Kacius said as he hand moved to the small of her back briefly, just as hers came up and rested along the back of his neck.

"What brings you here tonight, James?" She asked as he leaned back to look into the eyes of the Jedi.

"Just a bit of fun, milady. You can never have enough of that. Good thing too, I've never set eyes upon something as beautiful as you." Kacius said with a small smile as he leaned in and rested his cheek against hers again, ignoring the small giggle that came from the woman, he looked towards Jessalyn and winked at her. He said that small bit with a slightly raised voice, hoping Jessalyn would hear it, and be slightly teased about it. Considering he told Jessalyn she was the grandest one here, which was the truth. Nothing wrong with a bit of fun among the job though. However he had to say he was quite disappointed that he wasn't the one dancing with Jessalyn. Perhaps he was being selfish with her, rightfully so, she was amazing. Or maybe he was just a fool...

"What a beautiful name." The man said to her, and Jessalyn just noted how Kacius had been looking at her, smirking at her because of what was going on before he would look ahead of them, and continue the talk with the woman. Oh, her more scoundrel-like side was coming out in her, because she was thinking of ways or situations that could happen that went along the lines of...beating that girl up, pulling her off of Kacius and just punching her a few times. But that would mean that she was doing that just because she was jealous.

Was she jealous of that girl dancing with Kacius? Yes. Yes she was.

She knew that she shouldn't have been, it's not like they were dating or anything, they've just known each other so much for so long, it seemed like they were so close. But she saw what they were doing, and Jessalyn just decided to do the same. "Why thank you..and what's yours?"

"Darrek. It's a pleasure." With that, she could feel his hand move down a little, to where his hand, the fingertips were right on her backside. All she could do was smile and hope Kacius saw, just so that he knew the fire that was going on in him as much as it was going on in her. "Yes...yes it is a pleasure."

"Well thank you, I will take a compliment like that and keep it close to my heart." The woman smirked as she nuzzled her head just a little bit against Kacius at which, Kacius was a little bewildered at the current moment. While of course it felt good, but in his own mind he wondered why in the world she was doing this with someone who wasn't her husband or whatever this guy was to her. Perhaps for all he knew that he was a sibling, nah.

"Compliments like that must not come your way very often, I wonder why." The Jedi whispered to her as he glanced over to Jessalyn and he watched his fingertips grace her back, just above her butt it seemed like. Kacius just rolled his eyes for a moment, and slightly gritted his teeth. Oh how he wished he was the one wrapped up in her arms, but perhaps it wasn't the right time, or if it ever would be.This was the all in good fun, perhaps. But he wondered if something else laid the foundation on this venture for them other than just good friends.

The Jedi's eyes darted toward a sight at the mans waist, which seemed to be a set of keys on his belt, and a keycard. The Jedi Master dipped the woman and a small chuckle escaped her lips as they returned to their original position, she seemed to get a more seductive and flirtatious grip on the Jedi as Kacius just giggled slightly. However as she was preoccupied as their cheeks were against each other, his eyes met with Jessalyns.

He mouthed the word... Keys. And he slightly inclined his head down to where he saw them.where were on his left side.

Jessalyn was in the same boat as Kacius...while she was having a good time, she was still wanting to be with Kacius and be dancing with him. Would things happen between the two of them given time? She wasn't sure...Jessalyn thought that if something would happen, it would have done so by now, but they had seen each other grow up a bit, and him especially watched her grow from just barely a teenager to a young adult, fully grown, and, as he called her, beautiful.

But now they were dancing with others...it didn't feel right.

It just so happened that he was whispering something in her ear, about seeing her later on, or having a drink, but she just watched Kacius and he mouthed that word, Keys..Jessalyn was confused but then she glanced down and noticed his keys with a grin. Once more she gave Kacius a wink and then her own hands began to travel just a little bit. "I think a drink will be great later on..I do have to meet up with some of my girl friends but then....we'll meet at the bar." Jessalyn looked deep into his eyes while her hand moved down and she slyly lifted the keys from his side, and pulled away slowly. They parted ways, and Jessalyn reached for her clutch and with the slight of hand, she slipped the keys right into her clutch and waited for Kacius to be done with his....dance.

Impatiently waiting.

Kacius watched with a small smile as he saw her hands reach for the keys and card. Oh this was going to be easier than he though! The Jedi voiced in his own mind as he turned his attention back towards the woman that he was dancing with. The song came to a slow and quiet end, she still held on to him and gave him a small kiss on his cheek. "Thanks for the dance, perhaps I'll see you later on, with less clothing on." She winked at him and turned and walked and continued what she was originally planning on doing before she asked him to dance. Kacius chuckled as he casually touched the spot where she kissed him and chuckled again.

Yet as he did that his eyes met with Jessalyn's and his smiled faded a little bit and he chuckled again. He jerked his head towards the woman that left and then shook his head indicating that it was all harmless play. He took a deep breath as he made his way over towards her and he smiled.

"So, that wasn't that bad. Besides, what you just retrieved will make this little shin dig so much more easier!" Kacius whispered to her.
