Mass Shadow Generator (Or something special)

This may sound similar to the Galactic Event, Shattered Souls, but I thought this would be an interesting event:

Similar to how Darth Nihilus came to be, the Mass Shadow Generator Superweapon, or something similar gives the "winner" a certain benefit. It starts off in galactic space, a war betweenMost factions, and someone in any faction works there way to the "power source" to win.

Any add ons would be good.

From my understanding, while the Mass Shadow Generator helped create Darth Nihilus, it wasn't the reason he was created. He was a Wound in the Force, created by the massive amount of deaths at Malachor V. If the Death Star was fired at Malachor V and killed everyone there the same thing would have likely happened.
