Master Class on Love (Yuroic/Jairdain)

Things had been such a whirlwind of events. Yuroic had another Padawan now, a young teen named Eden, someone he thought could show some promise but was still in the early days of training. Seth was progressing well with Lightsabers of his own now, it was a proud moment to see a student progressing well. However, the most important thing that had happened to Yuroic recently was being promoted by the Silver Jedi Order to becoming a Master. It had been a shock to him as he couldn't believe that the other Masters would want someone with his background and the desires he had going forward. It was weird but Yuroic gotten through that and realised that he was capable, strong and someone people not only could look up to and admire, but found respect in himself.

From this newfound respect for himself, Yuroic decided that there were things he needed to sort. This was to do with Jairdain, he was still unsure where exactly he wanted or felt towards her. However, he needed to be honest with her and perhaps from the first steps there, he could find where he wanted to moving forward. Yuroic took a deep breath in, he sent a message to Jairdain to meet him at his apartment, he thought it would be good to meet and talk there. He didn't know if she had given up or was still interested.

Her time recently had been more on Commenor than it was on Kashyyyk, but that was due to what had happened with Lady Kay and the repercussions from that. Some of her future was still in motion, but Jairdain was sure more time would be spent here with the Silvers. Especially since Commenor would soon be under their cloud of protection. What that would change for her, she didn't know and that was something she was thinking about when his message came through to her.

She had yet to arrange for her own place here, Jairdain still stayed at the temple and the rooms they provided there. Each time she would come, she would get a different room and have with her only what she packed. In a way, it was as much of her life had been. There were three places she had homes of her own and Kashyyyk was not yet one of them. Yuroic had made her feel welcome and this new invitation just reinforced it.

This was an unexpected but not unwelcome invitation. It was good his place was close to the temple and she had time to shower and clean up before leaving. It had been a long time since Jairdain had worn traditional robes and she had not picked them up again. Instead, she opted for nice pants and a light blue blouse. On her hip was her lightsaber and she had brown boots on. Her was down like it almost always was and some of it rested on her shoulders.

Being at ease, she walked at a comfortable pace to his place and knocked on the door.

Yuroic was wearing a loose grey jumper with a white shirt underneath, with baggy jogging bottoms. He had done his morning run, showered and dressed, he gone casual and loose to keep cool as his run and shower left him wanting to be in something comfortable and casual over smart. Yuroic had made some sandwiches for Jairdain if she was hungry, he was taking a bite out of a half when he heard a knock on the door. Finishing the sandwich as quick as he could, Yuroic ruffled his short hair and made sure his clothes looked tidy and smelt good. It was odd that there were butterflies returning to his stomach as he thought about the direction he wanted to take this meeting with Jairdain.

Opening the door, Yuroic smiled warmly to Jairdain and gestured her to come in. "Hey, you look really nice today." Yuroic said, his heart pounded slightly faster as he looked at her, his feelings returning stronger than they had been recently towards her. His mind was still confused and he wasn't sure what he wanted long term but it was clear what he felt towards Jairdain at the moment. Yuroic tried to keep his emotions and intentions of what he wanted to talk to Jairdain about hidden. There was something about surprising Jairdain about this question and interest that Yuroic felt would be exciting. "So, it was nice to see you at my Master ceremony."

Returning the smile, she entered when Yuroic invited her in. When he complimented her on how she looked, she grew curious. It had been a very long time since she had heard something like that from him.

She sensed something had changed within him and picked up on the slight confusion he had in his mind. What he felt at the moment was far more clear and her own heart seemed to skip a beat and that smile grew into something that showed true happiness. Try as he might, keeping most emotions hidden from her was almost pointless. She did not press him though. It wouldn't be the right thing to do.

"Thank you, Yuroic."

Since she was not used to getting compliments, her cheeks might have turned slightly pink. Thankfully he changed the topic quickly and said it had been nice to see her his Mastering ceremony.

"I wouldn't have missed that for anything. It was an honour to be present for something that is so rarely made formal. Do you feel any different?"

[member="Yuroic Xeraic"]

There were clear signs no matter how short they were that Jairdain had gathered what he had arranged for them to talk about. It was frustrating that she was so good at reading emotions from people, too good Yuroic would argue. It was like she had something other than the Force to help at times, able to know how others felt before they did. However, she didn't jump to anything and took everything in a slow stride. Nodding his head, a Master ceremony was unheard of but it was something the Order was trying out as a way to give recognition to those few who put in the effort and work to reach Master rank. Something Yuroic still thought himself years away from. "Well it is something that Jyoti started and Josh thought it was something to continue, I was happy with something small or informal but he pushed for a ceremony. I don't feel like a Master, but then I guess no one knows what a Master should feel like I suppose."

Pausing, Yuroic sighed and closed the door, leaning against a wall. "I think it was a mistake for so long, I wanted to tell them all they were fools and that I was far from ready. However, listening to Josh, hearing the way that he presented my achievements and surviving the things I have. It was difficult to hear as I thought that I wasn't like that at all, that I was a nutcase and Asaraa would be a Master well before I could achieve something like that." Yuroic stated as his hand scratched his stubble beard. "But I was wrong. I am someone I thought I couldn't be, I am a Jedi Master. I might be far from the ideal Jedi Master, I still consider myself a Grey Jedi. But I think that is just another story. I don't think it has made me feel different as a Jedi but I definitely have a different attitude to myself and new self-respect."

Looking at Jairdain, Yuroic studied her for a while before looking down at the ground. He shook his head firmly, "Screw it." Yuroic said as he moved in and kissed Jairdain passionately.

"For me, it just seemed natural. Becoming the advisor to Brad and all, it seemed better to be thought of as a Master than a Knight."

This time when the former crown prince was mentioned, that small stab of pain wasn't there. Jairdain still felt responsible for him, he was an adult and what he did with his life was his choice. She just hoped he was fine wherever he was.

Smiling at what Yuroic said, she shook her head when he felt like he was a nutcase. They had each, in their own ways been crazy. He had gone that way first and then she had followed. The two of them were alike in many ways, but they were also quite different. That was something, among the many reasons that she still loved him. In all the time they had been together and then separate, that had never left her.

Another way they were similar was their calling in the Force. Jairdain followed the path she had been raised with and walked almost the same path as Yuroic.

"I don't think I can ever truly consider myself Jedi again."

And that was all she was able to get out before Yuroic moved in a kissed her. Not any simple kiss, but one full of passion and she just melted. Her heart jumped up into her throat and her pulse felt like it was racing. Not missing a moment in thought, her arms wrapped around him and held him close. Only when it felt natural did she end the kiss. Resting her head against him, she did not pull away and breathed in his scent. Gulping her heart back down into her chest where it belonged, she was silent for several long moments.

"Is this what you truly want, Yuroic?"

There was a whole mix of emotions and thoughts rolling through her. Everything from happiness to sorrow, love and resentment. The strongest and most important was the love and she made no attempt to keep any of this from the man she had always loved.

It was a moment that was filled with passion and so much unsaid. Yuroic had his arms wrapped around Jairdain's waist as he held her close, enjoying her scent and warmth from her body. He could feel the emotions that were coming from Jairdain, both positive and negative, it was understandable as she was dealing with so much. Yuroic could also sense that her heart was now jumping all over the place as she felt nervous but excited. She asked him if he really wanted this, to be sure that he wanted to start this relationship. It was a big step forward but she was the only woman he could see himself staying with and developing something as a couple.

"Yes. I think this is exactly what I need and want." Yuroic stated firmly as he looked into her eyes as he stroked her cheek gently. Studying her closely as he smiled warmly. "I also think, if you ever wanted to be a Jedi again, you could, you just have to decide for yourself to be it." Yuroic stated, while she had spiralled down a dark path, Yuroic knew that recently she was becoming more like a Jedi.

There was no fake reaction from Jairdain. She rested her head on Yuroic's chest as he held her close. Both of them coming to terms with what had just happened and been revealed. His hand ran over her cheek and she turned her face upward as she felt him looking at her eyes. When he mentioned he did feel she could be Jedi again, she shook her head just slightly. Not enough to break his touch on her cheek, though.

"I have been broken and I don't think I can ever fully recover. While I am as well as I can be now, I will never be what I was before Krest got his hands on me."

Even if she was pure in her actions, it was a personal opinion of herself that would prevent her from calling herself Jedi.

"It really is just a title, isn't it? I suppose there is the Code and all, but I don't follow that exactly."

A sense of contentment came to her. Here in his arms was the only place she wanted to be.

[member="Yuroic Xeraic"]

It was a joyful moment, to just be embraced with one another and take in the changes that happened from Yuroic's action. He looked at Jairdain as she explained that she was too broken and damaged to ever become a Jedi again. It was amusing somewhat, smirking Yuroic shook his head as he looked down at her as she looked back at him. "Broken huh? Too broken to be a Jedi. Hmmmm, sounds familiar, real familiar. I believe that I constantly said that I was too damaged and too involved with the Dark Side to be a Jedi yet alone a Master." Yuroic stated in counter to Jairdain thinking she was too far gone.

"A title, maybe, but it is all about helping people and keeping peace. There is stuff to come with the title but the Code is so loosely followed by so many. If I could be a Jedi Master then I am sure you could." Yuroic stated, knowing that if he could be as Grey as he was and still be a Jedi Master then so could Jairdain if she wanted to be. "Anyway, I guess, if you want you can stay here in this apartment instead of finding your own then I think." Shrugging as he felt nervous about moving forward.

In listening to what Yuroic had to say, she realized they were still quite similar. That was a very good thing in her mind and it just united them more. Wrapping her arms around him more tightly and burying her face in his chest, Jairdain gave him a very firm hug.

"I'm sorry for what I did before. I should have helped you through your tough time as you did for me."

Even when she had started to spiral down almost the same path he had followed, he had wanted to try and help her. Instead, she had turned and run from him. The one person in the Galaxy she should have been with and she had been a fool.

"Maybe someday, I will call myself Jedi again. When that happens it will be because of you."

Uncovering her face, she smiled at him loosened her grip on him. Not that she was strong enough to keep him from breathing or anything.

"That would be great. I promise to help keep the place clean. Someday maybe I can bring Marcus here if you're wanting him around."

[member="Yuroic Xeraic"]

Yuroic shook his head and petted her head as she hugged him tightly. "I didn't want your help, didn't want anyone's help. It is fine that you weren't there, I would have only tried to push you away. Acted in a way to get you away." Yuroic admitted as he kissed the top of her head and inhaled her scent deeply. Stroking her dark hair slowly.

"I look forward to see that day sometime." Yuroic responded as he looked at her, "I'm sure you will, be nice to have you around again." Yuroic paused when she mentioned bringing Marcus, it was still weird for him to see Jairdain have a child. One that wasn't his when they had become so close years ago, but he couldn't deny his presence here and perhaps things would get easier with him around. "Yeah, sure he can stay here."

[member="Jairdain"]

"You and I did essentially the same thing..."

She said this after he had first spoken about not wanting help and then pushing it away if it had been offered. Jairdain had done just that in one of their own past meetings. If anybody would understand, he would.

"I hope days like that never happen again. Or if they do, neither one of us feels like they don't have the support of the other."

For a moment she grew thoughtful when Yuroic said he would like to see the day she called herself Jedi again and nodded slightly. The thought that went through her mind wasn't given voice or thought to him. There was the chance he might pick up on it since they were so close and she took no precaution to keep him out of her mind. That was how much she trusted him. If Josh and the Order accept him as a Jedi master, then maybe they will me too...

"With what has happened with Commenor and me no longer having a job there, I expect to spend more time here. That also means Marcus will be with me since Kay can't take care of him. In time, hopefully, that will change, but not now."

Smiling up at him, she was silent for a few moments and took ahold of his hand on her face. Not taking it away, but just holding it there, she was no longer crying or even really felt sad.

"I love you so very much, Yuroic Xeraic. Nothing is going to change that and it never went away. Forever."

[member="Yuroic Xeraic"]

Yuroic shook his head, while they both spiralled things were different between their falls. "No, I became something else, I was nearly beyond repair. My addiction to spice, the monster inside me that wanted to kill everyone, sleezy things that I was getting up to when I was off-world. It was bad, I was selling spice that I made to pay for other addictions." Yuroic shook his head, he hated his old self it was a person he could barely recognise anymore.

Nodding his head, Yuroic agreed that he didn't want days like he had to ever return. He hurt ones he loved and he committed so many dangerous crimes that he was still trying to reverse. He could sense that Jairdain was still interested in being a Jedi, that she was just unsure that they would accept her as a Jedi, stroking her dark hair slowly. "Jairdain, no one here is going to judge you. We have had former Sith become Jedi, Dark Jedi and more. Josh and the others are more than willing to let you back in as long as you want to return." Yuroic explained, still holding her close to him.

Things with Commenor had become complicated, while the merger had gone well with the Commenor coming under Silver Jedi Order rule, however, Kay was now imprisoned and the monarchy had collapsed with Veiere resigning as well. It was difficult situation but he agreed that Marcus couldn't be left on Commenor like Jairdain had originally planned and with other children on Kashyyyk, there would be a chance for him to make friends with people of his own age. "That makes sense, might have to change the meditation room into a bedroom for him since I doubt any of us want to have to share a bedroom." Yuroic chuckled.

Looking into her eyes as she professed her love for him. "I know." He gave her a wink, "I love you too Jairdain, always have."

[member="Jairdain"]

As he spoke, Jairdain made some mental comparisons between them. Leaning into his touch, her eyes almost appeared to meet his. When he finished, they closed and she was silent for a short time while she put her thoughts together.

"Your path took you down one that caused you to hurt friends. Mine was different."

She was rather ashamed of her actions and drew in a slightly pained breath. If he wanted to know, she would keep nothing hidden or secret from him. Because of his request in the past, she was already aware of what Yuroic had done. He did not know what had happened when she went down the path that was similar to his. Luckily, Jairdain had not gone quite as far but could have easily.

Opening them, she was waiting to hear his words of rejection. What she did not know was of his meeting Krest and some of what that man had already told him.

It was nice to know he would welcome Marcus, at least, he had accepted that part of her.

[member="Yuroic Xeraic"]

Krest had taunted him about his previous relationship with Jairdain, it had brought out the worst in Yuroic in that moment, a moment when he wanted to brutally try to kill Krest. It was due to him trying to learn Force Crush, he found it tricky to balance the Light Side and the Dark Side but since that lesson he was trying to figure out a better balance. It was tough going but Yuroic was finding it easier to control his emotions, his rage and his Dark Side powers as a result of all this.

Yuroic knew that Jairdain spiralled but he didn't need to know how much she had spiralled. "It's fine, I know things got tough for you. But I don't need to know if you don't want to talk about it." Yuroic stroked her back gently as he smiled warmly. "Well, what do you want to do next?" Yuroic asked as he held her close.

[member="Jairdain"]

It wasn't that she minded talking about it. Just that she was ashamed of her past actions. When her life was empty, she had turned to what she thought would fill it. Instead, she had only found more emptiness. Only when that small part of her that had always been stable spoke up and took control again was when she realized she was going astray.

"Sometime I will tell you. You gave me your memories. It is only fair you get mine."

That was something she could do quickly.

"Things did get tough and very quickly. It started with us and it seems to be finally coming back in a circle and ending with us. Promise me this will never happen again. Yuroic, I don't think I can bear to be apart from you again and I am so very happy for this chance again."

Just resting her head on his chest, she breathed in his scent and smiled slightly with a content sound.

"I should start considering packing."

[member="Yuroic Xeraic"]

Yuroic shrugged as it didn't bother him whether or not if Jairdain shared her past with him. It was all okay and he knew it was settled in the past, Yuroic was fine with just leaving it there. Stroking her dark hair slowly, he smiles that he keeps her close to him as he listens to Jairdain begging him to promise to never let this fail again. To keep it going, to always be there for one another.

"I... yes, I will not let this fail. I know it has been tough for you but we can do it together." He smiled as he kisses the top of her head. When Jairdain mentioned unpacking, Yuroic chuckled and shook his head. "Maybe, but not yet, I think we should do something else." Yuroic grinned widely as he picks Jairdain up and carries her upstairs to the bedroom.

[member="Jairdain"]

The ups and downs of their lives had brought them together, separated them and now finally brought them back again. They had seen the best and worst of times and made it through. Now she felt they would face many challenges together and they would not fail or fall apart.

"Let's get started then."

That was all she had time to say before he picked her up and gave his own idea on what they should do. Resting her head on his shoulder as he carried her upstairs, there was no argument that came from her.

Everything happened for a reason and whatever had brought this about, Jairdain was happy and fulfilled. She would fight for this to work out and nothing was going to stop her from doing that.
