Many Jedi have gathered to witness the ‘battles’ between the combatants, from Padawans to Knights and Masters, all battling to see who will rise to the top, who will be the cream of the crop?, the icing on the cake?, the best of the best?. It is early morning, the sun has risen to herald a bright new day, avian circle in the Voss sky, the flowers are blooming and the bees are buzzing and there is excitement in the air. And lots of chatter ..

In the arena there is a seat at the end of the room, on which Grand Master [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] will watch over the tournament. With brushed back golden hair, beard trimmed and a set of sapphire blue eyes, and a calming demeanour, the grand master will cast those wondrous eyes upon his Jedi charges and step in if and I say IF, the duelling gets ‘out of hand’.

Before the duelling shall commence, each combatant will acknowledge his presence with a respectful bow and so to, to your competitor, before they begin.

[member="Nima Tann"] vs [member="Jericho"]

You may begin!

And may the force be with you both.

Jericho let out a bated breath as he walked into the Sanctum area. The warrior raised his left arm with his right hand on his shoulder applying light pressure as he rolled out his arm. A light warm up and stretch before what could be an interesting fight or maybe a quick one. The warrior did not know. He has many a time heard of the name [member="Nima Tann"] and has heard of her prowess as a teacher and fighter, but in truth despite being around for a great many years now, never seen the likes of her outside of the profiling of the sanctum holocrons. He wondered if the real thing matched its numerous rumors. He lightly guided his white robes a robes a float, thought weighted and heavy was set lightly a drift for a moment giving a loud thump as he lightly sat down with his legs crossed waiting for the other master to make her appearance.

Nima Tann

Master of Her Own Destiny
Today was the day of the finals between the Masters league, which Nima was indeed excited about. The first round was indeed a good fight between Master Maya Carrick and herself, which she won with a bit of luck, she hoped this round would be as fun as well. Her opponent, [member="Jericho"], she heard that name a lot yet she didn't knew him well, thus she knew so little about him, only that he was a strong fellow, but she was about to find out about that. She started to walk towards the Dojo, thinking about strategies and preparing herself for the upcoming fight. She was an illusionist, she loved to use mental attacks, but she was a good fighter as well physically. She had her two lightsabers, one blue and one red, ready to be used. Surely, she didn't want to use the red one that much, since the red could be understood in a wrong way, so it would be only for emergencies. She was wearing her sports shorts and the crop top, flexible enough for the Ataru technique, which she loved using a lot.

She didn't even realize that she arrived to the dojo, being lost in the thoughts. The doors opened, revealed a familiar sight of the dojo and a man sitting on the edge, she placed a smile, looking at him. "This is Nima. Nice to meet you." She said, briefly but sincerely. Then she reached to her blue lightsaber, taking it from its hilt and activating it, which filled the dojo with the voice of the pure blue energy of the crystal. "Whenever you want to start." With this, she gave a bow to him, and the Grandmaster watching them, giving the man the chance of the first move.

The warrior cracked his knuckles lightly before standing upward from where he sat and let out another sigh. Another defensive fighter, he only assumed she was having not taking a chance to strike while he sat, the thought made him rather bored. Many warriors remained on the defensive as of late and there was no thrill in that. But as always he would not let his guard down, the woman that stood before may have a trick or skill that he has yet to face. He took in a deep inhale and a long exhales as he traditionally did to maintain himself and went into the echani fighting stance, after giving a respectful and humble bow to her and Grandmaster Thurion. Long has it been since he used this stance but the warrior was far from rusty in the art. As the warrior raised his arms and clenched his fist the clank of his armor rustled throughout the ring. He watched her from head to toe looking at her stance, the length of her saber and the reach of her arm.

The warrior stood close to a foot taller than her give or take an inch, her range of motion would still have a slight disadvantage to his fist but her saber remained her shield. With her slender form, it would be fool hardy for her to fight with a saber for as Shien did, but then again there had been many that fought with that style; with even smaller bodies, so Jericho had to keep that factored in. But he for now she would go defensive similarly as many Jedi do. But would she rely on Soreau or a mixture of that form and makashi or did she have different manners of skills entirely? He would have to see for himself. The warrior charged in maintaining his form, with sudden burst of speed and jump the warrior unleashed a powerful force wave, to watch and gage what she will do.

The man looked disappointed at the first look, as he slowly raised from the ground. That was a good thing, since he didn't know Nima well enough and didn't know what she could do. That, would apply for the Jedi Master as well, since she didn't know him well enough to determine what to expect. This was going to be an interesting fight, to say the least. Continuing her examining, he was a tall one, indeed, that would be seen clearly as he was standing right in front of her. He had a good defense going on with his stance, yet, not his movement implied that he could attack any second. Now, she was not fond of defense herself, since she knew the best defense was a good offense. Yet, not knowing her enemy, or enemy would be a wrong term, more like fellow competitor, she wouldn't let him see her true power just yet.

After a second of disturbing silence of them examining each other, she felt a movement at the opposite side, this probably meant the start of the battle. Readying her stance, she waited his first move. The man, with such speed, suddenly jumped and sent a force wave towards her way. That, would be an easy dodge for Nima since her body was flexible enough to apply acrobatics, and the environment was plain and roomy enough for her to do them, yet she had something else planned. A Force Barrier, which she learned from [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] not so long ago, would be a better one to evade this attack, and the clash of energy would give her some time and cloud her whereabouts enough for her to prepare a counter attack. So she did, she created a Force barrier in the form of a shield, the image was visible enough if you looked at it carefully. And the shield met with his Force wave, the sound of two Forces trying to dominate each other escaped from this clash. And the effect of this clash would create a little light show, which would give her a second or two before the lights calmed down. Holding his Force wave in the air gave a big pressure to her Force Barrier, and already there were little cracks starting to appear.

So, taking a deep breath, with her free hand, she reached to the Force in the room, holding any Force particle that she could find and giving them a shape, shape of herself. In the brink of miliseconds, there were two illusionary Nimas created. Her illusions were very real looking and wouldn't be sensed by the first look, yet they weren't real of course, thus they didn't have the ability to hurt the victim. Just giving the real one time before she could land an attack. Before the lights go out, she sent her illusions towards the man, both jumping in different directions with their lightsabers at hand, it looked like they were about to attack. The barrier wouldn't keep its form much longer, so it was the time for real Nima to move as well. She jumped to his direction from the middle, doing a front flip and preparing herself for a good, strong Force push by collecting the Force energy through the way, gaining momentum. As her front flip ended and enough momentum gained, she let go of the Force Push towards his chest, and the Force energy started to move towards the man with quite a speed.

If her distractions were succesful and the attack landed, this would send him flying to the other side of the dojo, and it would be a bit painful if he took the Force Push in his chest, possibly breaking some ribs. Only the time would tell.

He watched closely as she formed a force barrier powerful enough to stop his wave of energy. As the visible barrier slowly already began to crack, it showed him the level of concentration she needed to make such a powerful construct. Even so the woman continued to remained stationary and again put her concentration on the force once more. At this point Jericho was a up close and personal with the woman and about to follow up on his attack. But at a blink of an eye more forms of the woman appeared and as they did, the warrior closed his eyes. His eyes were trained to see the slightest of movements but as trained as his eyes were so were his senses. The warrior was well verse fighting a variety of foes, illusionist were one of them. The warrior's senses took hold over himself and felt the force push aimed to him. With a controlled breath he raise his hand and raised a small but concentrated barrier of his own and let the force push him back with a few feet going with the flow of the push.

Her skill was recognized by the master, her illusions were life like at the glance. Though they were just that, illusions. After facing a great many tombs and other illusionists; he could feel the essence of the one that was meant to distract the eyes, the ones that hurt the body and the ones that could destroy the mind. The thought of it made him twitch slightly. Her powerful burst that would have indeed broken ribs made into a a breeze that guided him back and leveling the playing field. His eyes opened once more and cracked his knuckles and regained his stance. He looked at Master [member="Nima Tann"] and once again charged at her again he unleashed a force wave aimed for her feet and jumped once more and fired another. As he closed in punched into the ground and shattered a part of the floor where she remained to continue to disorient the woman.

The man, even though distracted by her illusions, must've realized the sudden burst of energy, so that he could put up a barrier before the Force Push hit. Even though the damage wasn't as good as she expected, it still was successful at pushing him back. She was impressed how he handled the situation, it meant he had some experience with the illusions, that would put her skills to disadvantage right now, but creating two images weren't the only skills in her skillset. The man landed to the ground as she planned what to do next. Without waiting a second, the man charged at her again, she would expect another force attack since his movement and the sudden change in his aura implied he was about to do that. Not surprisingly, he sent another Force wave towards her. Thus, she created another barrier to oppose his Force wave, which stopped the Force wave's progress, yet she couldn't see that he would break the floor with his fist and the floor slid under her feet, which made her lose her balance a bit. It was indeed, an impressive strength that the man showed to be honest. Enhancing herself with the Force in order to leap backwards and get some space to recover, she was met with the man's other Force wave, which made the landing harsh and she fell down to her knees, opening a wound from the fraction. Being her determined self, she took a breathe, and didn't let a little wound get the best of her and stand up again, gaining her balance back.

Now, he was indeed a strong one, but by breaking the floor, he also played to the girl's advantage, since she could have new assets to assist her in this battle. She, with her all might, reached to the floor and the broken pieces with the Force, totally ripping them apart from the ground, then sending them directly to the man, who she assumed would be a bit unbalanced after breaking the floor, with a strong Force Push. The pieces were sharp like spikes, and with such speed they would get extra dangerous, and being close to each other, he would have only a little time to react. But of course she wasn't done yet, so, to increase her chances to hit the man with the pieces, she created several copies of them, each imitating the movements, and the sounds of the real ones. Ten would turn to twenty, twenty would turn to forty... and the pieces continued getting more and more but the real ones stood the same. Since now, the real ones and the illusions were mixed together and they all had a movement of own, it would be more difficult for the man to detect the reality of the pieces.

She used the for the force to acrobatically dodge his coming down fist. Not something he was expecting to do since she has been flat footed for the fight thus far. Very unlike the Soreau style of fighting. Was the force barrier a technique she had only recently learn to practice? Was that why a visible crack from his attack? Now that he thought about it, her barrier use didn't flow as well as her timed attack with the visions of her one top of the force push she had made. Her movement flow cast was somewhat reactive to his own but overall remained aggressive. The watched her carefully as she gracefully dodged the attack only to be taken back by the force wave. It did not take long for her to regather herself for the fight, she controlled her breathing and with a flow was able to continue her reactive maneuver. She used what he made to her advantage, smart, at the rate the debris was flying the at him they would be able to pierced his weighted robes; maybe even his armor. It would be difficult to dodge but...As he analyzed the situation, it grew worst as she cast another illusion making more of the spiked floor seem endless.

Unfortunately at the distance she summoned the bits of broken floor gave him time to think and react as well. The warrior above all other knowledge, knew his body the best again, raised his hand and took in a deep breath relaxing himself and concentrating. The warrior focused on the area around his body and as the spikes came at him they would by shred into little tiny bits as the air focused for cutting and micro-shredding. Not to bad, her aim was to disorient him and get him to react openly too all of the make shift illusions, but from what he had gathered he skills kept her illusions non-lethal, whether or not it was just her degree of skill or she held back due to this being a friendly match was to be seen. Either way, she was indeed very skill to make such a large area illusion. For those that merely missed their mark the spiked floor pierced through the wall, entering the hardened brick deeply. In this it showed just how much damage the warrior would have taken had it pierce him and not been shred by his barrier of cutting air. The warrior took a quick glance and then looked back at her.

The warrior gave her a slight nod of his head as acknowledgement of her skill before getting back into his echani stance. He looked to the woman from head to toe; she was an illusionist and acrobat and well verse in tricks with the force regarding her flow and the skills she was used to. She had a creative mind able to use to the environment to her advantage, most likely trained in sokan as well. Or be it just her way fighting. But the more he was learning the more tactics and style he would choose to end this. Thus far though she was proving more interesting than he originally had expected could she keep it up? In truth she skills had been impeccable in regards of re-actively countered, but how would she do with her pressing attack? She had her saber but had yet to use it. What was she focused on doing. So the warrior took in a deep breath in his stance and with a wave of his fingers made the motion to come at him.

She watched her attack as it continued to move quickly towards the man, illusions included. She didn't think that her attack would have so much of an effect, and as she thought with a barrier he could manage to keep the damage at minimum. The ones he missed from his eyesight got stuck in the backwards wall, well, she didn't know it had so much power, part of her was glad it didn't hit him else it would injure him greatly. Anyway, after her attack ended, the two looked at each other, both impressed by the opposite side's skill. The battle was a good training, for herself and it was indeed a useful one regardless of whoever would won this duel. Both didn't know their true power just yet, but that was going to change in seconds since he directly called her for a melee fight. It seemed like, the playtime was over. A smile was placed on her lips as she prepared her stance, and then launched herself forward with quite a speed using the Force without waiting for a second, it would be rude to turn down such an invitation.

Ready for any attack as she made her way forward towards him, a Force wave or sorts would be countered easily as she took a careful run. This battle would be a bit difficult, a battle between strength and speed, she would have advantage until the man had a chance to land a strike. As she placed herself in the perfect distance to him, she jumped, turning in air and gaining momentum from this quick spin, then launched an attack towards the chest, which would force him to take a defensive stance so that would make it difficult for him to launch a counter attack. If the attack connected, the two would have their first lightsaber clash, and could gain information about themselves, information that can't be concealed this time since there was no chance of holding back in melee.
