Master, Please

So, as many of you may have figured out, I'm a huge advocate of NFUs. Mainly because 1) there are way too many FUs on this site to be realistic, and 2) being an NFU is more challenging and therefore makes the reward so much better, and 3) FUs are often perceived as a free pass to godmod yourself to being... well... an invincible god. And I don't believe that is how being a Jedi works, not to mention it's not good RP.

But that does not mean I have never wanted to play a Forcie. I've had dreams of being Luke Skwalker as a kid, just like everyone else. I love the Jedi. I feel a bit sad everytime I watch Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith as these awesome bearers of hope are taken down one-by-one.

I've tried to get a real Forcie rolling once or twice... or five times on this site. But I've found few masters to be committal and even fewer to be written by mature people. Basically, my FUs have been abandoned within the very first training thread without having learned a single thing.

So I am offering up one of two Forcies for someone to teach. I prefer the 'teach through experience' method and not the '3 Easy Steps to Becoming a Master' class sessions. In fact, I don't actually expect either of my characters to make it to Master. I don't foresee it in their lifetime, but that could potentially change depending on how the RP goes. I'm not bothered by not reaching the final tier, but not even making it to Knight has become very frustrating.

So here are the two anonymous characters I am offering as pupils:

Forcie A:

Master alignment: Lightside (or 'light gray')
Intended skillset: Defensive skills, telekinesis, healing, mind trick
Primary weapon: Lightsaber
Lightsaber forms: Soresu and Niman
NOTE: This character is meant to be a Sentinel and will therefore need a Master who is a Sentinel or at least very experienced in that area.


Forcie B:

Master alignment: Anything but pure Sith
Intended skillset: Stealth, telekinesis, agility, mind trick, choke(?), lightning(?)
Primary weapon: Blaster
Lightsaber forms: Djem So and Makashi
NOTE: This character is made to be sneaky and not so much a powerful fighter.

Hmm. Forcie B is tempting. Asemir's alignment is Dark Gray I believe. He also has significant experience with firearms and other "soldier" skills.

My only concern before formally tossing his name into the pool is the time commitment. How fast are you expecting the posting to be?

Maybe once a week? Really, any activity is good activity at this point. Been left to dry by a few masters so I don't care how slow things go as long as my character actually arrives at Knight.

However, Asemir is not associated with any Sith groups. Is this an issue?

You could be Jedi for all I care. As long as you're not a Sith who is into torturing people for kicks and giggles, you should be fine.

I'll take either of them.

Davin is an Imperial Knight, which are classified as Grey FUs with Lightsider principles. They've got loads of military training, wicked armor, starfighter skills, and military doctrines to follow. Granted, neither of your characters have to become one, but that's just what Davin has in store for your character. He's also a duelist who specializes in Makashi and the technique Battlemind. Besides that, he's a pretty smart fellow who can command fleets, armies, and runs his own little company.

Activity will be a little slower on this character since he's been revived recently, but I can ensure a post at least every 1-2 days.

Tacitanya is an interesting character. She's a near perfect opposite of Asemir. Interesting. This could be quite fun.

So, I am officially submitting Asemir as a candidate it teach Tacitanya. What do you require from me? He can teach her any and all martial skills, including armed and unarmed combat and Force enhancement techniques. He's a military man by training. He's also very anti slavery,having spent the first couple of decades of his service rooting out corruption and slavery in his home empire.

But yeah. I'd be interested.

I'll definitely think about writing Forcie A with you. The only reason I'd hesitate is personal time constraints. I actually wasn't expecting enough interest from other people to actually use both characters.

She's a painter, and it's really rare to see people with physical paints at this point in the galaxy, I'm guessing. Last time I tried this, someone thought she was a spy of some sort because the artist thing looked suspicious. *shrugs* There are a few possible angles. Pick a planet. Heheh

That sounds fun. Hmm.. Planet. Nar Shadda is always an easy pick, as it has tons of possibilities. And I think it's Tacitanya's home planet?

Nar Shadda has always been my default go-to planet. I'm completely open to where you feel it would make most sense to meet Tacitanya. Since Asemir is a bounty hunter, he can legitimately travel to most worlds. I can just make something up, like he's following a bounty.

But I also have another option for you. It seems that I have lost yet another master...

As of a few hours ago, Geneviève Lasedri is now also up for grabs once again... I don't know if your character would really work with her or not. She's a bit of a conflicted neutral--lightsided intentions but actually leaning a little darksided in method.

It's your choice and I don't care which one you take. Stjeki has pretty much a clean slate but I'll need to rework some details of his character since that old bio screams 'Jedi'. Gen has had more character development and seems to be somewhat similar in interests with Davin, but that may hinder you. Choose the one you like the best.

Now Gen, she seems like the type that would fit in perfectly with Davin's methods. Although Imperial Knights are Lightsided in theory, they'll use whatever techniques possible to finish the job, but also resist the temptations of the darkside. They do a pretty good job at resisting the Dark side, they're even sworn to convert their Emperor back to the Lightside if he succumbs to it. If not able to bring him back, they have orders to kill him.

Genevieve would be preferable to pairing with Davin, but it's entirely up to you.
