Masters of Shii-Cho [Darron Wraith]

| [member="Darron Wraith"] |

Since her fall at the Battle of Coruscant, Ella had known that she was not powerful enough to bring the One Sith to justice. During the battle, she been cornered and outnumbered by three Sith Warriors, who had soundly defeated her. If not for their arrogance, then Ella would not have survive the One Sith's attack, to be meeting Jedi Master Darron Wraith.

Ella had put the request in with the New Jedi Order, in order to receive training, as she prepared to dispense justice and return peace to the galaxy. Among other things, such as having a Jedi-class stealth fighter modified to accommodate her trusty sidekick, Arsix, Ella was now to spend the intervening weeks under Master Wraith's teachings, to learn more about the Force from him and to master the lightsaber technique, Shii-Cho.

Arriving by transport to the Sullust Jedi Temple (because the factory are slow on approving things), Ella stepped into the temple's hangar bay, with Arsix at her side.

Bleep!

"Yes, Arsix. We're here."

Lifting her brown eyes, Ella scanned the bay from beneath the cowl of her dark robe, searching for Master Wraith.

Darron had reclaimed a few things since joining the New Jedi Order, most notably had been his security clearances. Apparently his last name and physical make up had been enough to be given the requisite credentials to pilfer through his old exploits. While he hadn't read them all, he had perused the dossiers he had found on himself. Seeing all the missions that were redacted, and the events he had been a part of was jarring. It helped him comprehend all the scars, the prosthetic, and his general physical condition. What was disconcerting was that his age wasn't something that could be pinned down, and the dates didn't exactly line up with his physical appearance. Men who were documented to be near seventy years old weren't in peak condition, with hard bodies, and no gray hair. It didn't add up, but now he understood how he had come to procure the lightsaber hilt of Mace Windu, and why he wasn't exactly prone to wear the robes of a Jedi.

Even if he had reclaimed the title of Jedi Master.

Master of what exactly though? The thought was fleeting as he stepped into the training hall. He knew he was a warrior, it was evident in how he carried himself. That's why he had agreed to teach a student in Shii-Cho, because it was the basis of all lightsaber combat. Those lessons were burned in his head, his childhood memories intact. How he knew the others, or what would happen when he was truly in combat were still a mystery. Under his calm facade he could feel a love for battle, and he had read about his use of Vaapad, but it wasn't clear to him yet. Maybe, one day I'll get back into the field and test it again. Screams from memories he didn't understand, when his hands weren't his own killed that thought. No, I need to just teach and get my mind back.

"Hello there Knight Nova," Wraith paused as he came to a parade rest in his simple robes. "I'm Jedi Master Wraith, and you came to learn Shii-Cho?" It wasn't often a Knight wanted to Master the most basic of forms, but Darron had flashes of a Master who had ran an Empire while using that form in combat.

Most had called her Empress, he knew her by her first name.

Ella turned to the Jedi Master. She surveyed him, with her hazel eyes. He was seasoned. Muscular. Powerful. She had heard of Darron, by reputation alone. He was a hero of the Republic. Once. Perhaps once they had got to know each more, Ella would learn why Darron was on Sullust, prepared to serve the New Jedi Order, when the Old Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic needed him to become that hero again.

"Hello, Master. Thank you for seeing me." In the corner, Arsix bleeped in greeting to Darron.

Nodding to him, Ella was focused. She had learned the marks of combat. She know to wield a lightsaber. She even knew the signature techniques and maneuvers associated with Shii-Cho, which would later become the platform to her mastering another lightsaber form, if needs be.

What Ella required was to master her senses. To be attuned to the Force, with her blade work. To have the power of the Force as a constant ally, to be called upon at anytime. Whereas Ella was currently adept with the first form, there was moments when she had lost her ability to call upon the Force, due to her becoming tired, weak or on the brink of death.

Things she had learned in her final moments on Coruscant, before the hangar bay had collapsed on top of her.

"I have come to learn Shii-cho from you, master. Your reputation proceeds you. To learn from you would allow me to attain a mastery over the way of the Sarlacc."
