Masters Wanted - SJO Workshop Open Thread

Hello SJO!

It is that time of the year again!

Some of you will remember the workshop thread in which our Master came together and trained in one skill in a workshop environment on the lawns of the Silver Temple. This idea is done to help with those that require training and to have fun with the faction.

It is an opportunity to RP with other members and get to know new ones. As we have a few coming over from the Republic I see this as a good way to get to know them and they us.

Now I need Masters willing to sign up for this and please list the skill (force ability) you wish to teach. Just the one so other Masters have the chance to show off their skills in their selected ability.


The more the merrier of course! So we can provide a wide range of skills on offer.

Once I have an interest in this I will organise the thread with the list of Masters and what they hope to teach you.

Can Knights sign up to teach anything? Or only Masters? Just wondering, to see if I could figure out anything I could teach.

Knights can teach if they like (Most of the people you just named in your post above are knights in fact).

If you'd prefer to teach telekinesis, I can change subject areas to Instinctive Astrogation. Or I could even do a non-Force skill, like Starship Engineering Basics for Non-Engineers.

Oh no, [member="Sor-Jan Xantha"], I am not so crass as to muscle you out of your chosen lesson. I must politely refuse, though I do greatly appreciate the gesture.

I'm thinking I may, if anything, try to teach some sort of Saber techniques, perhaps Soresu and/or Ataru. Maybe for the dual-wielding inclined. Any input from anyone?


Also, is it permitted for Knights to participate in the classes, especially in subjects they are unfamiliar with *cough*WhiteCurrent*cough*, or is this a Padawan only affair?

Of course you can teach, Ryn. You an also participate in the workshops of others too. Although it is generally one big lumpy thread but that need not make a difference to the fun.

Easy.... Keep your fur short. Also, accumulating copious amounts of scar tissue severely limits fur growth, so that keeps grooming down a bit as well.
