Description |
Matravash Amaranthine Dye is a rare substance in the Galaxy with the only known manufacturer of the Dye being the denizens of the planet Matravash - and even then, Dye production is limited and highly regulated by the planetary government to prevent the wholesale destruction of the Greater Amaranthine Forest - the region which produces the raw materials utilized in the Dye. However, one produced, the Dye is incredibly Shelf-Stable - provided that its container is kept air-tight when stored and not in use - the internal components will not separate. A major downside of the Dye however is that, as stated in its name, it will Dye anything and everything if proper safety measures are not taken when utilizing the substance. This can often result in unwanted items being dyed - or in some cases - an individual's manipulative appendages being rendered purple because they did not wear the appropriate coverage. An odd side-effect of the manufacturing process has resulted in the Dye producing Phosphorescence - or in common terms - the Dye is capable of glowing in the dark. While this can be the desired effect for some individuals, for others who require stealth or not being seen at night - it is highly recommended that they not wear any item dyed with this substance in those instances as it will likely give away their position. Likewise, the Dye is known for weathering well and is considered to be tarnish-resistant, maintaining its vibrant color and only needing to be reapplied in those instances in which it was utilized as a hair dye. Beyond those stated effects, there is nothing overtly special or unique about the Matravash Amaranthine Dye beyond its rarity in terms of location and its relatively small production batches. |
