Born on Zeltros to a rather poor excuse for a dancer, Mirinda grew up in poverty, chasing a life of crime. At a young age, she learned the wonders of slicing and made most of her families wage off of it. She turned to working for various crime factions on her world, bouncing around the market as a talented slicer and engineer, of course, it didn't take long before she ended up on someone's bad side. Her mother had gotten ill from a chronic disease, and to pay it off, Mirinda took to more and more risky jobs; one of which nearly ended her up in a life time sentence in carbonite, and resulted in her being booted off her homeworld; least until she can finally clear her record from the data banks.
Forced to go straight now, she enlisted in the New Imperial Order's Engineers Corps, finding the training they offered to be laughable, but the pay and benefits would be more than enough to assist her mother. What she had planned on being a mere four year stent has no evolved into a ten year service extension, all the while the young woman struggles to send enough credits to her ailing mother back home. Hoping to one day find a permanent solution to her mothers ailment, Mirinda continues her work, hating most of it, and barely tolerating the rest of it.
Due to her inability to leave things alone, Mirinda has been added into the forces of COMPNOR for her technical abilities and willingness to operate in the field. Due to the hefty pay bump, Mirinda felt compelled to agree.
