Matukai Development

[Nicair Claden]

I'm planning on starting a development thread where I introduce a brand new character and teach my current main character Matukai fighting styles and meditation techniques. The two of them would have a rival-like relationship and would signify the two main philosophical "sides" and paradoxes of martial arts, these being the desire for peace and internal control and the more aggressive and violent acts of the martial arts themselves. Naturally Nicair will fall to the more violent side of the spectrum and will eventually be rejected for further training after showing little patience for meditation and the more spiritual side of Matukai lifestyle.

I'm working on the new character now and will have him completed before I begin the training montage- I mean thread. If anyone would like to take part just let me know.

Funnily enough, I've had an idea in my mind to create a Matukai myself. Let me just, plug in here by asking is there an actual current Matukai faction or?

Though, no matter what my character [member="Tyrus"] is in dire need of training/threads in general so hit me up.

It is my understanding that there isn't really anything to do with the Matukai in Chaos.

Be aware that some of us who've done Matukai stuff in the past have noted that the Dark Side's adverse effect on body chemistry can wreck havoc on the delicate meditations needed to properly Matukai it up. Hence why Fabula stopped trying to Matu anyone's kai after she got juiced with a few hundred years of Hell. Dealing with that imbalance of chakras or whatever could be an angle to pursue.

This is just a thing to keep in mind. Your story is your own, and you're right. We haven't made any lasting impact on the board. You do you, boo.

I'm currently studying abroad so I apologize to anyone waiting for me to start the thread. I'm still not super happy with the character I hwhipped up for it so I'll definitely need to flesh him out a bit. Sorry for the wait, I'll work on it a little during flights and what not. Your patience is most appreciated.

Muad studied matukai As well. But the meditative part as well as the darkside aspect does give one complications that are interesting to explore in character.
