Childhood
Mauve was born on a small planet to a couple of farmers. Most of her early childhood was spent learning about animals and how to care for them. Once she became of age to attend school, her parents got her into a nearby public school.
Mauve was a happy child. She never had problems interacting with other children. Many teachers described her as outgoing and committed. Even at a young age, Mauve did very well in her studies. She was advanced a grade early and earned acceptance into advanced classes.
Teenage Years
By her early teens, Mauve had been recognized as a particularly gifted student. She was in the highest class placement available. She had been to several debates and had even won a few. Mauve remained dedicated to her studies, but still made time for a personal life outside of school.
She had a small group of friends she regularly liked to do things with. When she could take a break from studying they went and caught the latest Holodrama or hung out at shopping malls. Mauve even tried a deathstick once or twice, but didnt like it.
Once she started driving her parents speeder, she got to see her friends more often. At least until she went off world for college. Mauve felt bad about leaving because her mother was sick. Both her mother and father insisted she go, however. They knew that she had the potential to be so much more than they could give her.
Adult Life:
When Mauve went away to college, she blossomed socially. She went to a university on a different planet than the one she had grown up on. Something about being so far away from what was familiar made her crave connection. She made friends easily despite having a full schedule between her classes and her job as a retail worker. She studied business and computer systems. Mauve was financially fiscal. She put away every credit she could.
Finally, when she had enough, she bought an old used XS freighter. It came with an OOM 1 battle droid as part of the deal. Unfortunately, shortly after she purchased the freighter, her mother died. Mauve started drinking to cope with the loss. Her grades declined but she maintained a passing grade.
One night she was out partying and met a man named Griff. She thought Griff was cute and he seemed nice. So, she started dating Griff. It wasn't long before Griff's true colors started to show.
He drank a lot, more than Mauve. It started with little things. Griff tried to change the way she dressed. He didnt like it when she spent time with her friends. They started yelling at each other a lot.
Then one day, during an argument, Griff struck Mauve. Mauve hit him back and that really set him off. He started beating her severely and she blacked out. When she came to, she was in the middle of the living room floor.
It looked like someone had ransacked the place. Furniture was everywhere except where it was supposed to be, and Griff was dead. It looked like something had fried him. Mauve didnt know how, but she knew she had done it.
Mauve knew the police would arrest her if she stayed, so she ran. She got to her freighter and left the system. Mauve traveled for awhile sustained by her savings and taking the odd job. Then she found employment with a cargo delivery service and made good money that way.
