  Mavricks life started simple enough, but like most Karkarodons, he had an insatiable hunger for power. After living the life of a pirate for most of his life, he returned home and proclaimed himself Emperor of his people and tried to rally all of his race under his banner. However, like most self proclaimed Emperors, he did not succeed in unifying his people, but did gather a great number of supporters and created his Empire without any real-estate to its name other than a somewhat sizeable fleet. His hunger for power and pirate origins had him butting heads with other pirate factions such as the Zann Consortium on many occasions.
