Baize was a loyalist Imperial for decades. First serving in the Imperial Government for the Sith Empire, as part of the Sith-Imperial Intelligence, a cooperative element adjacent to the Saaraishash. It was always understood that they stood below the Sith. Baize had made his peace with it, until a legion of brave sentients broke away from the Sith Empire and rebelled against its lack of values.
The New Imperial Order was born.
It took no time at all for Max to join up with them. It was dangerous, but with vital intel in tow, he broke free and found himself on Bastion at the heart of a new order (pun intended). The next years Baize operated as a COMPNOR agent and transferred to the ISB once COMPNOR became too loud for his liking. As an ISB overseer he organized and kept watch over numerous logistical chains in the Tingel Arm. A vital operation to keep the flow of war machines going from factory and shipyard to warehouse to the battlefield. You'd be surprised how many acts of sabotage occurred on a daily basis and the ISB was there to guard against this.
Over the next years Max became disillusioned with his nation. Things weren't the same once Tevlar was gone. In his stead the force-sensitives took control again and while they claimed to be better than the Sith Max saw little difference.
He began to organize his own little forms of rebellions. Shipments to Imperial Knight outposts came late or not at all. Nothing that could affect the war effort, but it made Baize feel better about himself. From there out it was a small leap towards beginning to center alliance on himself. If the nation he served was being corrupted by the Knights, why should Max care about staying pristine and clean?
Corruption was seductive.
Once the Empire began to crumble Baize had little difficulty in taking advantage. As the Galaxy became more chaotic he realized the value in the free-flow of weapons and gear to concerned parties. For decades the New Imperial Order and the Empire had taken control of old Sith Empire foundries for their own benefit. Now Max was there to reap benefits of both.
His allegiance?
The almighty credit.
