Once, we were gods.
It was all so very simple.

TRAITS & FLAWS
  • Cosmic Might: Maxirizuul is a potent Force Sensitive with the inborn ability to unleash rays of light or lightning against his foes.
  • Faith is Power: As a Starchild, Maxirizuul derives power directly from his conviction and the faith of others. Inversely, his fear and self-doubt directly weakens him. Add to this a bit of imposter syndrome...
  • Technophobe: Maxirizuul is technically inept. The HoloNet confuses him and performing basic maintenance is downright frightening.

  • Vahla Vessel; 2.1 metres tall, long dark feather-like hair, and bluish-grey skin.
BIOGRAPHY
Born aeons after the golden age of his kind, Maxirizuul was raised on tales of lost glory.

Sheltered as he was on one of the few worlds on which his kind were still worshipped as gods by the general populace, it was all too easy for him to slip into the listless torpor of indulgence. A petty god in a pantheon of hundreds, a pantheon that held sway over little more than a backwater in the most profound sense of the word. An undeveloped frontier world the Galaxy at large had forgotten during the Four Hundred Year Darkness.

It was not curiosity or impulsiveness that finally stirred him into action, but a growing sense of insecurity stemming from his inability to reconcile the lies he told himself with the life he lived. What kind of god hid in distant corners, what kind of god held sway over nought but the crumbs left behind by older, more potent gods, what kind of god was content to make do with second-rate worshippers and a mediocre temple?

He was the Illuminator (not to be confused with the Lightbringer, the Starforger, or the Flamecaller) and he could do better. Be better.
