Under Janira Fenni and Niamh Raste, the Echani made shipyard capacity a high priority. Collaborative efforts with the Mandalorians yielded three dedicated technical assistance projects. The KKT-74 Cricket construction vehicle, HGG-343 Warthog construction vehicle, and Be'sol deep space construction powersuit aided both Eshan Drive Yards and MandalMotors in heavily expanding their shipyard capacity. After the Sith Empire's conquest of Dac, early in the reign of Empress Desmius, the Mon Calamari diaspora's shipbuilding expertise gained attention in the Republic. With the induction of the new line, however, the Mon Calamari design ethos was sidelined. It found a home with the Echani, friends and then members of the Republic, and closely allied with Ithor, where many Mon Cala had taken refuge. The prioritization of shipyard expansion was undertaken alongside experts from Baktoid and the Republic.

As a result, Eshan Drive Yards is capable of building the Republic and the Echani a full-sized ship of the line with Mon Cala influences.
This is that ship. Rather than churn out mass-produced Valiance-class Star Destroyers in numbers, Eshan Drive Yards has focused on producing a handful of larger, more painstaking vessels, in the Mon Calamari spirit.
-Technical Capabilities and Deployment Concerns
The Remembrance is wholly optimized for ship-to-ship combat and orbital bombardment. Its broad, flat structure maximizes concerted firing arcs upward and downward. It is somewhat less capable of straight-forward fire concentration than a traditionally-hulled Star Destroyer. Furthermore, it compensates for its sluggishness with redundant Mon Calamari shields and powerful point-defense weapons. With these two concerns in mind, a wise commander will use a Remembrance-class vessel as an anvil, and rely on smaller capital ships and fighter envelopments to serve as the hammer. The Remembrance's firing arcs are optimized for close combat.
At a very rough estimate, this vessel has twice as much volume as the Republic's Valiance-class Star Destroyer. It is powered by three hypermatter reactors of the sort that powers the Valiance. With a smaller surface area than two Valiances, of course, it cannot mount twice as many guns as the Valiance, but its armament is still proportionate, putting it in the same ballpark as the ancient Bulwark-class battlecruiser and the Omega Protectorate's (much smaller) command ship 'Starfall.'
Unlike the 'Starfall', however, the Remembance carries a decidedly substandard fighter complement, a token amount for special circumstances. It requires support from dedicated carriers or at least the Valiance, which boasts a significantly stronger tendency towards balance. In terms of small craft capacity, the far smaller Valiance has a definite advantage.
When used by the Echani forces, the Remembrance-class uses the Echani Foil-class interceptor rather than the R90 Starfire. The Foil-class is fully as fast and maneuverable as the Republic's interceptors, but the fighter trades autoblasters for a limited warhead capability. This gives the Remembrance-class' fighter complement somewhat more flexibility. As interceptors are meant for killing bombers, and line fighters are meant for killing interceptors, the inclusion of Foil-class vessels also grants the Remembrance's interceptor complement higher-than-average survivability against line fighters.
It should be noted that Echani military expertise has traditionally tended to focus on highly maneuverable ships, such as the 100m Interceptor-class and the 800m Avenger-class. Heavier vessels were a later development. As a result, most Echani fleet commanders are not experienced in handling full-scale command ships. The Remembrance is a highly rare ship, of course. Only a very small handful will ever be produced, the vast majority of which the Echani defense forces cannot support economically. Currently, the only exception is the Echani flagship Qel-Droma, captained by one of Eshan's few commanders with ship-of-the-line experience. The other Remembrance-class vessels are constructed for the main Republic fleet and captained by Republic senior officers – generally high admirals.
In the interests of overwatch and mission flexibility, a gravitic amplitude modulator has been installed. Though this renders the ship unable to use its CGT array to detect cloaked vessels, it is capable of jamming yammosks and interfering with the accurate use of enemy CGT arrays. In other words, while the Remembrance-class's GAM is active, Imperial Monitor-class corvettes cannot accurately detect concealed ships. The GAM is not tuned to produce a sufficient gravity well to serve in an interdiction capacity; for interdiction, the Remembrance-class must rely on other vessels.
-Structural and Aesthetic Notes
Like the ancient starship 'Chimaera', and in continuation of long tradition related to the current Echani queen, the bridge of the Remembrance-class boasts an admiral's chair, a throne with full access to systems and sensor data.
As the current Echani queen and several key players within the Republic are capable of varying degrees of battle meditation, there is a turadium-plated meditation chamber within the heart of the ship. The chamber is suitable for one meditating Force-user.
As a Mon Calamari-influenced design, the ship has few straight lines. It is best staffed by experienced crews, especially crews who have served on less-linear starships. Mon Calamari crewers are much sought-after by commanders of the Remembrance-class.
