STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES :

+ Elemental heritage: While she wasn't born in a vat, both of her parents were Trueborn Elementals, part of the eugenics program to be genetically-engineered infantry of the Clans. Designed and bred over dozens of generations to operate Clan Battle Armor, Elementals are the largest and strongest of the three common Clan warrior phenotypes. Elementals average two to two and a half meters in height and are disproportionally muscular compared to even the strongest Inner Sphere warrior.

This has given her increased strength, endurance, and height to operate Clan Battle Armor. Can we say Ripley from Aliens?

+ Double jointed -- Makes wiggling around easier.

~ Honor: Clanners have a very specific code of honor. As a freebirth, she clings harder to that ideal more than others as a means to compensate. While admirable, this can clash with interactions with the Inner Sphere because they have no concept of Clan cultural norms.

- Self-loathing: She has lived her entire life attempting to compensate for her failure of being bred as an Elemental in the eugenics program. She in a nutshell, loaths the circumstances of her birth leading her to attempt to go above and beyond to regain a manner of perceived honor and acceptance from her Trueborn brethren. Think Gataca here!

- Prejudice: It's a vicious circle really. The prejudice of freeborns within the Clan raised her with an equal dislike of the Freebirths-- despite being one herself. Her desire to gain acceptance from her clan has led her to be just if not more prejudice against Freebirths and Spheroids than the typical Trueborn.

APPEARANCE:

Short bob haircut that is kept tied back when in Clan Battle Armor. Olive skin that can seemingly give the idea she is reasonably tied to the DelVilar matriarch bloodline. Has a mole high above her left cheekbone. Statuesque and we are talking toned lean muscle like Ripley.

BIOGRAPHY:

Born the freebirth daughter of two Elementals of Clan Wolf, Araceli knew at a young age that she would have to be leagues ahead of her peers to recieve anything approaching recognition for her skills. Elementals, genetically altered warriors of the Clans, were known for their impressive size and musculature. This would be passed down to her, although to a lesser extent.

Still, standing taller than most at 6 foot 3, she managed to convince her superiors of the merit of allowing her to serve as an Elemental; a typically trueborn position. Given garrison duties more often than not, she was filled with the usual clan yearnings to succeed and surpass.

Ultimately, however, her garrison duties would put her on the frontline of a Trial of Possession for a more efficient laser developed by the Wolves, instigated by the Ghost Bears. The Wolves lost, and she was taken as Isorla by the departing Bears. However, on the way back to the dropship, bandits - rare but not unheard of dezgra - attacked the retreating formation. The Elemental who had taken her as spoils was killed, leaving Araceli to fend for her own.

Tearing off her old Codex, she made her way to the Ghost Bears dropship where she posed as the woman who had taken her Bondswoman by using the information gleaned from a short conversation with the woman. Considering she had been new to the Trinary, there weren't many who could question her, and without the Codex no one could prove otherwise.

Given a new one, although starting out disgraced at having it torn off in the fighting, she began working her way up the ladder of her new Clan. Given the chance to fight as a Trueborn for the first time in her life, she wasted no time in finding a sponsor for her to participated in a Trial of Bloodright for a recently open position. However, she could find none as her record was still green.

Instead, she fought her way through the Grand Bloodname Melee for the 32nd spot. Winning her following five duels in convincing fashion, she earned her DelVillar bloodname in convincing fashion, even if it left a bit of a sour taste in her mouth as it was not the name of her actual lineage.

Dreams realized, although it wasn't as liberating as she'd hoped it would be, she was ordered to the front lines where her and the Command Trinary she was apart of were ordered to eliminate the dezgra Blue Lightning mercenary unit.

Acquitting herself well through the fighting, she caught the comm chatter that several enemy mechs were retreating. Intent on furthering the honor she would recieve from the battle, she intercepted a dangerously wounded Enforcer several blocks from safety.

Intent on engaging it single handedly and winning, she hadn't realized her suits jet jets had been damaged in the earlier fighting. When the fight began, she ran forward, intent on using her jets to launch herself at the mechs chest, latch on and take it out with a carefully placed shot to the reactor housing which had already been exposed. The small laser on her arm wouldn't make it go critical, but would force the mech to shutdown.

Rather, to her horror, she found herself taking a several ton metal foot to the face, severely injuring her and ensuring she would be taken bondswoman a second time. This time by a Spheroid, no less, who at the very least honored the Clan ritual of taking Isorla.

Going with him and nursed back to health, she was now forced to adjust to a whole new life in the Inner Sphere with a man she hated.
