- Nanite Storage Dispensors contained within gauntlets to form deployable shields and swords
STRENGTHS
- The Medhir Armor is designed to give the personal Sith Legion of Darth Arcanix even better protections than that of the standard armor utilized by the Sith Legionaries. Using phrik as the base material, provided by Aurora mines on Gromas, and trilamnium, the armor has excellent resistances to energy weapons, kinetic weaponry, and lightsabers.
- Much like other armors utilized by forces serving her, the Medhir Armor supports various Aurora Industries Personnel Drones to provide more flexibility and versatility in combat situations.
- Utilizing a new nanotechnology developed by Aurora Industries, the Medhir Armor can deploy a blaster fire resistant shield from the right gauntlet and vambrace. The shield is deployed through a neuro transmitter imbedded in the helmet and can take on different forms depending on the situation the soldier finds themselves in.
- Utilizing the same nanotechnology as the shield, the Medhir armor can also deploy a sword from the left gauntlet and vambrace. The sword is deployed through the same neuro transmitter as the shield and can take on different lengths depending on the combat situation the soldier is in. Specific to the sword is, similar to the Kyuzo Petar, the nanites can emit a monomolecular energy chord along the edge of the blade when the energy pack within the gauntlet is activated, allowing the soldier to cut or pierce through obstacles and enemies in their way easier.
WEAKNESSES
- Due to the use of the trilamnium in the armor, corrosive materials can severely weaken the structural integrity of the armor.
- While the armor has an average protection from ionic and EMPs, such weaponry can short out the drone dock and the Nanite Storage Dispensers, eliminating their use until the systems can be rebooted, or if the damage is severe enough, until they can be repaired out of combat.
- Due to the trilamnium in the armor, sonic weaponry can crack and shatter pieces of the armor easier. Additionally, full on sonic weaponry, not vibro-weaponry, can disrupt the cohesiveness of the deployable shield and sword, allowing blaster fire or an enemy blade to slip through.
- Like many armor systems in the galaxy at present, the Medhir Armor can do little if hit with a disruptor weapon as it breaks down the molecular bonds of the armor itself.
DESCRIPTION
In previous battles and wars fought between the Sith Empire and its enemies, Darth Arcanix, the recently ascended Dark Councilor of the Pyramid of Galactic Influence, had been content with using standard Sith Legionaries as her ground forces. The specific Legion, the 212th otherwise known as the Black Talons under General Tarkin, had served faithfully and loyally and she still expected them to do so even after the decree from the Emperor designed to create some distance between the Legion and the ruling Sith. In that regard, and with another looming conflict on the horizon with the breakaway rebellious Sith and Imperial forces, she felt it necessary to activate a Sith Legion of her own.
Originally, the Legionaries that would be forming her new legion had served as the guards for the many experiments she undertook in her previous role as Triumvir of Power but she felt, with their new designation, that they needed to stand out more. The standard Sith Legionaries armor, while still quite useful, was just that. Standard issue. Utilizing the resources at her disposal, Taeli ordered the companies under her to develop new armor and equipment for her personal Legion.
The result for the armor was the Medhir Armor. Created by the smiths of Vulcan Foundries on Metalorn, the new armor is one of the more advanced projects they have worked on and was exactly the aethestic and, more importantly, the protection that the Dark Councilor desired.
