Meeting A Giant

Krayzen had sent an encrypted message to [member="Malok"], the leader of Apex. The Major General had heard about his exploits in the Battle of Kaeshna, where the Galactic Alliance, and First Order dueled it out. He also knew him from the Aegis Initiative that Krayzen was a part of, although, admittedly, he spent most of his time in the Iron Empire with other duties.

Ever since he had returned, he had found his company had still functioned, albeit via means that were still unknown to him. Krayzen realized the importance of finding new streams of income in order to diversify Drakos Systems' income source. The man may have been a General, but he, like many, was an astute businessman, and he realized that the company had taken a hit after the loss of the One Sith.

Apex was a relatively unknown company to him, only knowing it was a mercenary company. The Iron Knight hated darksiders, but then again, Malok had helped Aegis Initiative marines, so the Anzat wondered if an exception could be made. Even then, he was in no position to bargain, and needed new income sources quickly.

"Transmitting IFF tag." Krayzen said. The former Sith then landed on the planet of Honoghr, in the training facility that Apex had. He awaited for a representative in the hangar, as the Iron Knight prepared himself for the meeting.

"Sir, we've got Aegis IFF. It's the Drakos CEO."

Following the battle of Kaeshana, the Behemoth needed time to reflect. He had seen his mentor unleashed upon the field of battle. He had tasted the Darkness which emanated from his being - witnessed the carnage capable with proper training. Malok came to realize that his own streangth was not satisfactory...he came to realize that diving further into shadow was necessary. And thus did he reflect. Whilst seated in the midst of her personal quarters, Malok allowed the scenario to play before his mind's eye over and over again.

He remembered the feelings. Savored them...and the power they offered.

Yet, before long, duty called. It manifested in the form of an arrival within the ApeX training facility. [member="Krayzen Dratos"], who had written the mercenary enterprise previously, had come in order to speak face to face. Malok rose, blinking away the sulfur haze which clung to his eyes. Diving in would have to wait for the time being.

"Ready the conference room and have him escorted there." he responded, rising from his meditations. He made for the conference room immediately whilst a pair of his ape-men subordinates went to collect the CEO. In but a few moments' time, the two men would meet on opposing ends of a table adorned by light refreshments.

"Welcome," Malok began, offering a nod of acknowledgement. "to our humble abode. I am Commander Malok, it's good to finally meet face-to-face."

Krayzen saw a representative, and the former Sith Knight walked with him. Soon, the Anzat reached a large room, and he entered, sitting in a large table, [member="Malok"] across from him, light refreshments being provided to both him, and the Apex Commander.

"And it is an honor to meet you as well, I have heard much about your exploits." he stated. The General recognized his force signature, but chose to ignore it, as it wasn't an important detail in the meeting.

"Thank you for accepting meeting with me Malok. My people can offer you, and your soldiers many things. Armor, weapons, etc, all that a mercenary company would require. " Krayzen said, the Anzat's face giving the impression he was a cold and calculating individual.

"The honor is mine, Mr. Dratos." came the Ma'alkerrite's rumbling tone. Reaching out across the table, he gingerly took the glass pitcher before him in hand. Malok did not speak again until he had poured himself a mostly-full glass of cool water before offering his guest the same courtesy. Depending upon his answer, the Ma'alkerrite would either fill up a second glass or simply set the pitcher down upon the table. He then raised the glass, as if toasting the CEO before him, before taking a light sip.

Malok nodded as Krayzen informed him of all his company had to offer. Armor, weapons...anything that a mercenary enterprise would require. That was excellent to hear, for with every recruit, the demands ApeX faced grew larger. However, business was always a two-way street, and simply paying for the goods was not how Malok did things. Of course, [member="Krayzen Dratos"] would be fully paid for his goods, but if Malok had his way, there'd be much more. Much much more.

"Likewise, ApeX has many things it can offer you. Namely, security services. Your armor, weapons, and other technologies are immensely valuable - and as such, they warrant the best protection available. If you are willing, I would like to offer the services of my men as a contract of its own between our corporations. Asset Protection."

Once said, Malok indulged in a hearty swig of his beverage.

Krayzen wondered to himself if he would need Apex's services. The assets that they had were relatively close to some local police force, but the Anzat had other plans for the company. For instance, he wanted to open up a mining division so that Drakos Systems would not have to go and pay credits to by certain materials. It had been different before when the One Sith were here, and Krayzen used the resources he had access to to benefit the company, but the man had limited resources, and the Iron Empire wasn't nearly as powerful as the One Sith.

The Anzati then remembered that with the new manufactured products that they had, mostly coming from his old designs in the One Sith, new money had also come in, allowing for him to be able to pay Apex a contract if need be. The commander,[member="Malok"], also certainly was intimidating, and Krayzen believed based on Aegis Initiative data, he knew his way in a battle, and would hopefully make a good ally in the future.

"We will be more than happy to accept Apex's services." the Anzati said, replying while also toasting at the Apex Commander. "Perhaps we can converse about what goods Drakos Systems can develop for Apex." the Anzati said, eager to begin the partnership immediately.

As the cool beverage slid past his lips, the Dratos CEO responded in turn. His words were positive - the potential for a lasting relationship between their corporations was being laid. However, as with all things, the devil would be in the details. Malok lowered the glass from his lips and exhaled lightly, then nodding in response to the words of [member="Krayzen Dratos"]. The details of his request were to be processed first and then a discussion regarding asset protection could take place. One thing at a time of course.

The glass was lowered to the table with a gentle tap and the Behemoth folded his hands behind it. His amber gaze was unwavering and bored directly into the skull of the CEO. He wanted these next words to stick. He wanted Krayzen to know the degree of severity this agreement would have.

"I am looking to put my life, and the life of my subordinates, into the hands of Drakos Systems."

He paused.

"Your corporation has created a rather impressive suit of armor. The DKS-401 if memory serves correct. Given its composition and availability, I cannot hope to see it purchased enough to equip all of my men. However, I would like to commission an armor set that can. Similar statistics. Protection against a wide variety of threats, powered, etc. What say you?"

As [member="Malok"] stared at him, the Anzati stood there, his expression being cold, and emotionless, not in any intimidated by the giant that stood next to him. He however understood where Malok was coming from. After all, he was also a commander as well, and Krayzen knew that he had lives depending on him. Just like the Giant, he always wanted to minimize casualties, and one effective way to do that was to have armor.

Krayzen then heard one of his designs that he hadn't expected to be brought up. Out of all of the designs, his anti-force user armor was his best one, and the former Sith Knight had been working to create a piece of armor, since the DKS-401 armor had been designed for members of the Sith Order, which Krayzen was no longer a member off, and which Drakos Systems had broken off all ties to.

"You want your soldiers to be protected. You know who I am, and you know my responsibilities. I can understand where you are coming from Malok." Krayzen said respectfully.

"I have a rough design for a new armor, with similar properties, both in composition, and in features to the DKS-401 Armor that I have. Would you like to review it with me, and to see if it meet's your specifications at a later date, or even right now?" he inquired, waiting for his colleague to respond.

To the initial portion of the CEO's response, the Behemoth gave a nod. It was good that they had a mutual understanding, after all. Then, to the latter portion Malok said thus:

"I see no reason to delay. I'd be very interested in seeing your tentative design right now. This way, I'll be able to provide details regarding sizes and so on, that you'll undoubtedly require."

Having spoken, the Behemoth then returned to his beverage and awaited the reveal of the design.

As soon as Malok gave his confirmation, the Anzat threw a holopad at the epicenter of the table, a military design of the armor being shown, with the composition, and so forth.

"I'm thinking the main composition metals that will feature in the armor will be phrik, mostly due to it's lightsaber resistance. I can be able to have the phrik be alchemized, although it will be difficult as I have forgotten some of my knowledge of Alchemy." he said, although he wouldn't reveal why; furthermore, the only other way he could think of having the phrik feature Sith Alchemy, was capturing a Sith, as the Anzati, now a former Sith Knight, despised the Sith Order, and those that served it. "Durasteel is also a possibility, as alchemized durasteel was featured in the DKS-401 Armor." he said.

"As stated before, the armor is still very simiilar to the DKS-401 Armor, so there are only slight modifications I can think off. For status, we can add a ysalamari nutrient frame to the soldiers, in order to protect your soldiers from force sensitives. I've heard of armors that can have terantetek that prohibits the usage of the force, but these are just rumors. What do you think about it Malok? Does this suite your soldiers? Do you have any other ideas for the armor? " he asked, as he drank a beverage.

"My men have worked with Duraplast in the past." began the Ma'alkerrite. Having gazed upon the datapad, in addition to hearing Dratos' thoughts, Malok had come to a decision. "It is a ceramic material, lighter than Durasteel, and has a knack for deflecting blaster bolts. Perhaps you can apply this alchemy of yours to what we are used to. That would be our preference. Otherwise, I place complete creative control into your capable hands."

With that said, the Behemoth rose from his seat. His hand was extended: a sign that their meeting was now concluded.

[member="Malok"]

Krayzen would remember Malok's words, but he was thankful the behemoth trusted him with this.

"Until we meet again then." the Anzati replied, standing up to shake his hand. The Iron Knight left, nodding at Malok after they had finished their business. He soon left the training facility at Hognor, and soon returned to Csilla, his meeting now concluded.

Whatever Krayzen would do next, he had gained a contract, and that was what mattered.
