Prelude
While Aleena herself had not been there to fight during the Battle of Coruscant or its aftermath, she had heard stories about what it was like. Aside from all the death and destruction during the conflict, the Maw had left behind a vast number of Sithspawn into the streets of Coruscant's lower levels. Due to how massive they were, even now cleansing operations were still ongoing. But that's not what brought the blonde to Coruscant — she was no fighter or hero ready to save the people from the murderous beasts that rampaged through their streets.
She was a Jedi Healer.
So when she arrived, the woman was assigned to one of many field hospitals set up to tend to injured civilians as well as other Jedi and soldiers who were wounded in their efforts against the Sithspawn. It was a tiring job, but incredibly rewarding. Aleena often struggled with the idea that her actions were not impactful, but out here she knew she was making a difference.
That was, at least, until her desire to help got the better of her again.
Blondie in trouble.
It all began with strange whispers she heard, echoing to her mind through the Force while she went about her usual routine of checking on all her patients. Perhaps it should have been a warning to her, but the way it felt... people were hurt and needed help. Maybe there were Jedi out there who couldn't make their way back, and they all relied on her to survive? Maybe they had been the ones who called out through the Force?
It didn't matter to the blonde Jedi, who grabbed her medical kit, strapped her lightsaber to her belt, and made her way out of the safety of the field hospital. Stepping past other Jedi, guards, and more injured who were being brought in, Aleena headed into the darkest depths of the underworld.
For about 15 minutes, this went uninterrupted, as she simply followed the whispers she had heard. But after entering a new district, she began to feel as if she was being watched. Yellow eyes stared at her through the dark, and figures were following her around through dark alleyways and over the rooftops. She knew she wasn't alone.
"H-hello?" she asked, her voice trembling from obvious fear.
She hugged her medkit tightly against her chest and gulped, but whatever was watching her felt no reason to halt their plans at the sight of a frightened woman. In fact, it just made her look like easier prey. Finally, the beasts had her surrounded as well, and when Aleena realized it as presences called out to her from each direction, she simply froze. Her blue eyes widened as something jumped out to her and before she truly registered what happened, she was on the ground.
Pain.
She felt a shock go through her leg, another through her hip and something was tugging on her arm. Aleena screamed in pure agony but was there anybody out there who heard her? Let alone anybody who could help?
Her life depended on it.
