Meeting In The Sand

Beth stared at the large, rolling dunes of sand. Ambria, the hot, sunny, and very much full of sand. It was beautiful – although she really didn’t like the heat. She handled cold much better. So, so, much better. But, this was the closest, neutral planet between [member="Kat Decoria"] and Bethany. There were others, of course. Colder ones.

But, they were just too far and when Beth and Kat messaged each other, they quickly agreed to meet in one of the larger cities on the planet. A city with plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars.

A lot had happened since they had last met – on the planet of Commenor, in some attempt to help save them from the Sith invasion. Too bad their brief time together on the planet got cut short by the Blackblades, the Mandalorian Killers, that kidnapped Beth before handing her over to Yasha.

Beth still had nightmares from it all. It continued to plague her, almost every night in her dreams… But, it was something she had been trying to overcome slowly but surely.

In either case, Beth looked back towards her ship as she entered the city. They had agreed to meet at a small park area, which was centered around an oasis towards the middle of the city. Beth wore a red dress with floral patterns – one that would not heat her up to ridiculous levels in the already hot planet. Her hair was pulled back into a simple ponytail.

Once arrived, she’d sit down on a bench that overlooked the small pond. She wasn’t sure how Kat would react, with everything that had happened. But, at least they might could be still be friends.

Kat was nervous. It had been a long time not hearing about Beth's status. She had panicked initially about the condition of Beth and whether her friend was safe or in trouble. However, when her mother told Kat to return to Eshan to assist her in helping her sister in her final two months of pregnancy, Kat had become more distracted with her own troubles. It was only when the Mandalorians took over Eshan, Kat escorting her family back to the safety of Silver Jedi Order, that Kat had thought about checking on her friend once again. It had been difficult to make a meeting happen between them, Mandalorians and SJO were close in territories but they were not exactly friendly which was tough to meet her friend.

It was settled to be on an independent planet, one that wasn't under control from either side and it was annoying that they had to do that. Kat researched Ambria, finding it to be a hot planet with a lot of sand. The idea of a sunny world with hot weather appealed to Kat's desires to tan. She didn't always like to be the extremely pale skin of Echani. She arrived on the planet, wearing denim shorts with frayed ends, her white vest top exposed her arms and was somewhat low-cut. Her hair was loose and the silver locks were cascading down her left shoulder as she stretched in the warm sunlight. Her shyness around her legs had passed seeing plenty of other Jedi with prosthetic limbs.

She fiddled with her hair when she saw Beth sitting there. Her friend looked well, Kat smiled to herself with a slight reddening to her cheeks as she noticed how Beth still look beautiful. Kat walked over slowly and then coughed somewhat. "Urm... Hi, so are you doing alright?" Kat said still nervous somewhat.

Beth looked over the small oasis water with her mind lost in thought. Commenor, the Sith, the Mandos, her Grandmother, school, the Force, her family. It was so huge and above her that she just had to figure a way to wrap her mind around it all sometimes. Things sometimes were amazing, and sometimes they weren’t…

But, at least she had her families love. She knew that more than ever now. That was something she would always be able to hold onto and cherish, no matter what circumstances arose. Beth naturally played with the necklace of the Goddess of Safety, Shiraya, and the others of the Naboo pantheon. She had a small comfort in her belief in them.

Beth, then, heard a familiar voice which broke her from her deep thoughts. [member="Kat Decoria"] had arrived. Beth jumped out of her seat and nearly ran to give the beautiful woman a hug. But, she resisted. She wasn’t sure how much Kat liked or even thought about Beth – maybe she hated her after everything, especially with the recent addition of Eshan to the Empire’s planets.

Beth stopped in front of Kat sheepishly, but she couldn’t help give a big smile to the woman. Sure, their nations weren’t on good terms. Sure, there was some complicated stuff. But, they were still friends. At least, Beth hoped so.

I’m doing alright, yeah,” she paused for a second, “How about you, Kat?

Kat watched as Beth stepped up from her seat. Her flowery dress made her even more beautiful in Kat's eyes. There was also anstrong sense of emotions coming from Beth through the Force that made Kat smile. She wasn't trained enough to fully understand but she knew there was something Beth wanted. Kat took a deep breath, walking over to her friend, she set her feelings aside and gave Beth a big, tight hug. She let her feelings of happiness and joy of seeing Beth safe and sound wash over Beth. Kat knew Beth was sensitive to emotions and would pick up on the positive vibe she was giving. Kat also gave a kiss on the cheek as well.

"Next time, tell me you are safe as soon as you can. Had me worried so much for months!" Kat stated firmly, addressing the elephant to allow it to pass so they could just catch up and enjoy their time together. "I'm doing well, mother is pestering to keep helping out my sister with her due date being so near, sister is pestering me about the fact I don't want kids at all, at the moment." Kat just held her friend's hand as she talked about her family going ons, she avoided the topics of her brothers and brother-in-law currently missing with no word where they are or if they are even alive.

Looking at Beth, she gave a warm smile. "How about you? What have you been up to? Feels like years almost since I last saw you!" Kat joked as she studied Beth.

[member="Beth Cadera"]

Beth continued to give Kat a large smile. She wasn't sure what to do or say at this point but... It was nice just seeing her. She didn't feel any negative emotions from Kat, which gave some surprise to Beth. Instead, she seemed to want to... Hug her? In only seconds later, Kat wrapped her arms around Beth. Beth naturally returned the hug just as tight as Kat. Half of Beth didn't want to let go, especially as she felt the emotions through the Force from Kat.

Beth gave a small smile, "I'm sorry... I just, it was too overwhelming," she said quietly as she tried to hide the feelings she had of that day. There was fewer terrifying, horrible things that had happened to her. It took a moment for her to shake off the memory of the feelings. "I'm sorry, I will definitely let you know as soon as I can," she exclaimed with a smile as she pulled slightly out of the hug to squeeze her arms gently. A slight blush tinted her cheeks at the kiss on the cheek.

She gave Kat a huge grin at the wonderful news that she was going to be an aunt! "Oh my Gods, congratulations! That is great news! Auntie Kat!" A soft laugh escaped. "Boy or girl?" She chuckled at hearing her sister was bugging her for her own kids. "Pah, kids can be overrated! Trust me, I have like a million brothers and sisters. It's crazy." And with her mom being pregnant with twins, that was ever more so true.

"Heck, it sure feels that way! Oh, I've just been at university. Studying medicine, honing the Force. I sing at a club now, too. So that's kinda fun. And... My mom is pregnant with twins, so I'm actually getting some brothers soon." She shook her head, "More boys." She rolled her eyes playfully. The family already had lots boys... And they were also very loud and active most of the time, unlike her sister.

[member="Kat Decoria"]

Kat noticed that Beth was holding back on something but she couldn't feel the terror that Beth briefly went through. Understanding was clear on her expression when Beth pulled back from the hug. She smiled and stroked her friend's blond hair, studying the girl's beautiful face. Kat had missed her friend more than she was willing to admit to herself. Seeing Beth blusb stirred something in Kat's stomach but she tried not to overthink what Beth was feeling right now, just be there for her friend.

When Beth called her Auntie Kat, she shook her head. "Think she wants them to call me Aunt Katelyn." Kat shuddered, she hated the idea of her sister's child using her full name. "She wanted it to be a surprise so didn't find out, however, being Echani likelihood is that it's a girl." Kat explained as she smiled. She nodded when Beth pointed out they were overrated. "I agree! Much rather enjoy my time with my partner, when I have one." It was Kat's turn to blush, she didn't stop herself from mentioning she was still single.

Beth mentioned what she was spending her time doing, it sounded all really interesting. University, studying medicine and gaining more skills in the Force. Singing at the club was super exciting to Kat. "Wow. Sounds like a lot lf fun. Must be really exciting doing all that." There was a hint of jealousy as her own Force training had reached a deadend due to her leaving for Eshan. Kat giggled as Beth rolled her eyes at the fact she was gaining more brothers. "Well, could be worse, could be kids of your own!"

[member="Beth Cadera"]

Beth continued to smile at Kat, happy to be near her friend again. She had missed her, and despite their close-calls, awkward encounters, and everything else, Kat really was probably the closest person to her that was outside of her family. It was a bit crazy that a Silver Jedi and a Mandalorian being close friends.

Granted, Beth wasn’t a typical Mandalorian. She didn’t wear armor frequently, she didn’t enjoy any type of violence, and she loved her connection to the Force (which some cared and some not.)

In either case, Beth motioned over to the bench or the sand in front of the water. “We could probably sit on the sand. Or the bench,” she’d say. The bench was a bit hard, but the sand might be hot so… Beth allowed Kat to decide.

Aunt Katelyn! I bet the kiddo will want to call you something cute, like Kat though. It’s always about the nicknames!” She would chuckle quietly. “Oooh. Yeah, most likely. Girls are wonderful, although they can be a little hard headed.” At least, her sister Adara sure could be, despite the girl being the cutest and adorable little thing ever.

Beth laughed quietly as she walked over towards the spot. “Yeah, it’s kind of fun. The singing is. I just get lost in it, you know? Nothing else exists for a little bit.” She shrugged a little, realizing it might have been a little stupid or something. Beth chuckled at her second comment, “True, true. I think I’mma wait for a while before any kiddos come from me!

She became slightly serious for a moment, “Is your family still on Eshan? I know the Mandalorians took over the Empire and they tried to avoid civilians, but there were some people taking advantage. Pretending to be Mandalorian or Echani.

[member="Kat Decoria"]

Kat appreciated her friendship with Beth. At times she wished there was something more but that was her wishful thinking. Friendship was all she needed right now, at least, that was what she kept telling herself. It might have seemed strange that a Mandalorian and a Silver Jedi gotten on so well but Kat was a typical Jedi, she didn't really understand the Jedi mindset and was much more mechanic in her way of thinking. Though she needed to get back into her studies, she was enjoying the lessons when she got them.

Looking at the bench then the beach, she felt the nice view of the sea and the feel of sand call to her but worried that someone, likely a guy, would come up and flirt with Beth. She just wanted to spend the time with her friend alone, though it could happen on the bench as well. To Kat, Beth looked amazing so why wouldn't someone try flirting with her. Kat's hands were in her back pockets as she thought about the dilemma, shaking her head, she was overthinking it all. "Beach! Need to feel that sand!" Kat exclaimed in excitement as she wandered to the sand and took a seat on the warm sand.

It was pleasant and Kat leaned back as she smiled to Beth. "Yeah, my sister and me get along great. Her children be beautiful too, even by Echani standards. Number of suitors that Rose was getting before she married was insane." Kat commented as she remembered all the presents her sister got from suitors, Rose usual share the gifts with Kat but she always felt jealous of Rose as no one really tried to pursue her. That was until she figured out that she wasn't really into guys, preferring women, Kat realised she had to be the suitor in most cases.

"Well, have to hear you sing for me sometime." Kat commented, she understood where Beth was coming from, she could get lost for days in fixing tech. At times she would forget to eat and lose track of time being so invested in a project. Her sister used to have to drag her away to eat, her brothers only encouraged her behaviour stating that their dad was the same. Kat smiled as she thought about her time growing up with her family, her sister was the one who looked after her, being the eldest and making sure Kat, the youngest, was keeping out of trouble. Their mother wasn't able to bond the same with Kat, mostly because both of them knew that Kat preferred being around her father and a little because they were such different people. Didn't help when Kat came out either, her mother was a bit more traditionalist in her views, time did make things easier though, with her mother coming around to understanding Kat more. It was nice.

Beth said she wanted to wait a bit before having children and Kat nodded her head. She then brought up Eshan, Kat looked at the sand. It was a difficult time and right now there was a lot of things that were unknown to Kat. She wasn't sure how open to be with Beth before deciding it was wrong to hold back, no matter their factions. "No, we left Eshan when the Mandalorians arrived. My sister before her maternity leave was in the government and so was her husband, she was worried that some of the Mandalorians might not believe she didn't own a slave when several others in the government did apparently." Kat was still unsure if she believed the slavery side that the Mandalorians were spinning but she couldn't deny that there likely was some slavery going on.

"I thought it best to get my mother and sister out as I doubted when some Mandalorians found out they were related to a Silver Jedi they be left in peace." Kat knew that Beth would never do anything and that a lot of her fellow Mandalorians wouldn't but there would be some that might and with her sister pregnant, that was enough reason to get them out. "My brothers were part of the royal guard, we haven't heard from them. My brother-in-law hasn't contacted my sister as well." Kat was starting to fear the worst and wasn't sure how to tell her sister that the love of her life was dead. Kat hugged her knees somewhat, trouebld by the worries of her family.

Beth gave her friend a wide grin as she waited for her friend’s decision. In truth, Beth hoped she’d agree to sit in the sand. Beth loved the feel of the sand. Westralis was a perfect planet – warm, but not too hot. With the clearest oceans and the most beautiful sunsets. Beth wished she could just stay there, forever and ever if she could.

She could hide away in her studio that her mom built for her as some type of welcome home-bribe to not leave-present. Either way, Kat’s voice brought her back down from her mind. The beach it is! Beth nodded as she skipped over to a spot, slowly sinking down with her knees up to her chest as she glanced towards Kat. “I can only bet they’re beautiful! You’re gorgeous, Kat, so I can only imagine your family looks similar.” She gave her friend a smile.

Beth giggled at Kat’s request of hearing her sing. “Maybe! I get kind of nervous around people I know,” she admitted. In front of many people that she didn’t know? Beth could sing up a storm, lose herself into the music, before finally being dragged back to the ground with the closing notes. In front of friends and family? Well, she felt the pressure more.

Beth nodded as she listened to Kat explain them leaving Eshan. Her heart hurt that they felt like they had to run from their homes but Beth understood why. It was always something to worry about when a new force occupies your planet. “Oh… I see. I don’t know if it was the government but I know there was… Some corporations, there, that had them. I… Was there. I had to save a family member from them.” She frowned, “They used them to destroy the building, I don’t really know the details behind it.” Beth was honest with her experience, hopeful that Kat wouldn’t feel some type of way or another. “It was a private corporation, though. Gods know they could have been on any other planet.

She nodded, “I can see if my mom can find them? We abide by pretty strict code of ethics. Don't harm civilians, respect the dead kind of rules. And, she is the Mand’alor after all, we can look for them. Trust me, I know for a fact you never owned any slaves and I would vouch for your family.” Beth watched the reaction of Kat with a frown. She put her arm Kat’s shoulders and pulled her against her. “I’m sorry.

[member="Kat Decoria"]

The sand was warm to the touch and Kat could enjoy the feel of the soft sand as it sieved through her fingers. She watched as Beth relaxed into the sand as well, admiring her friend's beauty and grace. When she mentioned that Kat was attractive, her face blushed red, she had never been called gorgeous before. Kat liked the way Befh said it to her. "I...." Kat stammered as she was still blushing, shyness kicking in. "Thanks, but my sister is much more attractive, softer features, soft hands and more a traditional Echani look." Kat knew many found her sister very attractive, she was popular even amongst Echani. "I think you are gorgeous too though." Kat said, placing her hand on Beth's.

Kat nodded when Beth admitted she would be nervous to sing in front of her. "It's fine, I'll sing to you as well. Might be tone deaf but be a laigh!" Kat chuckled as she smiled to her friend. Her blushing cheeks only slightly faded as she could still picture Beth calling her gorgeous, it was a memory that was unlikely to go any time soon. Kat inhaled deeply as she enjoyed the sea breeze.

Kat nodded her head as she listened to what Beth had to say about their takeover of Eshan. While she could understand that, Kat still remembered other aspects of the takeover. "My sister was just scared, we all were, rumours of who Mandalorians work with and the state of Commenor. It just brought a lot of fear, why we ran. I know you aren't helping the Sith but I was just scared and doesn't matter the faction, there are always extremists, even in SJO. If the extremists knew I was SJO, don't think they would just let me live in peace." Kat commented, it was her being honest and pointing out flaws that any faction has when outsiders learn about them, it is difficult to separate fact from fiction.

Beth struck a nerve, not in a bad way, but Kat had been distancing herself from the possibility that her brothers were dead, that her brother-in-law was dead. It was too horrible to think her family were reduced to the three of them. Kat wrapped her arms around Beth, the toil of being the strong one, not letting herself show any emotions. To keep her family busy and calm. It fell away and in that moment, Kat was holding onto Beth tightly and sobbing. Tears ran down her cheeks as she took deep breaths to calm herself to speak. "That... That. That would be nice. It would give us time to grieve instead of being lost between unable to and fearing we will have to." Kat thanked Beth for her offer. Kat inhaled Beth's scent, taking comfort in being with her friend.

[member="Beth Cadera"]

Beth let her feet sink into the sand. Her toes wiggled, which caused the sand to push up, down, and all around. She didn’t spend enough time at places like this. Moments like this. Quiet, safe, with a friend. She couldn’t ask for much else. Beth couldn’t help but give a smile at Kat’s modesty, and the increasingly red cheeks she had.

Beth fully believed [member="Kat Decoria"] was a beautiful woman. It was hard, though, as Beth wasn’t quite sure if she liked women like that. She didn’t think she did, but that still didn’t change the fact that Kat was beautiful. Beth squeezed Kat’s hand tightly when she felt hers on hers.

Kat would sing to her too – maybe tone deaf, she said. Beth chuckled as she thought about it. “I’m sure it’s not that bad,” she said as she nudged Kat with her shoulders.

Beth gave a nod, with a more serious look as Kat explained her side of the Mandalorian takeover of Eshan. Beth, despite her allegiances, did her best to understand and remain neutral. Many people she had met weren’t part of the Empire and their feelings deserved to be heard just as much as any other person in the galaxy. “It is always better to be safe than sorry, I’m sorry you had to go through that either way, though. There are always extremists…” Life just wasn’t fair.

But then, mentioning her brothers, Kat suddenly wrapped her arms around Beth. Beth held her tightly against her. She heard the sobs – the cries, the worry, the pain, Kat felt. Beth just held her as she got it out of her system. Soft, quiet, “It’s okay,” could be heard whispering from Beth’s lips.

I’ll tell her as soon as I can send her a message,” Beth whispered, simply holding her friend. Sometimes, tears were the only way to get the release, to be able to move forward.

Kat pulled away and wiped the tears from her eyes. Inhaling deep and slowly as she calmed herself. While it was good to cry and release her emotions, overdoing it would help no one, as her father always told her. There was a healthy balance between never crying and always crying. Kat regained her composure and smiled. "Oh, no it's bad. I always wanted to sing but never could, no one in my family could ever really sing well." Kat chuckled, it was always amusing to her the cat wailing that was her sister trying to sing when cleaning the house. Her brothers were probably the closest to decent but still not great, voices too deep to hit higher notes that they tried to reach.

Kat nodded her head. "Yes, there unfortunately are always extremists. Even within a Jedi Order there can be those who seek violence and aggression. If an order based on peace can't go without violent extremists then who can." Kat shrugged, but gave a thankful glance to her friend. "Thank you for your help." She said with a weak smile. It took awhile as she was left in her own thoughts but she realised she shouldn't be moping around with her friend, this should be a fun time together.

"What are you studying at this university? Have you met any guys?" Kat asked as she knew her friend was interested in guys, which didn't bother Kat. "Is it friendly? Are you learning lots? Is it like training to be a Jedi or different? Do you have a cute professor? Some people like older men/women." Kat stumbled her questions out fast as she tried keeping the mood upbeat.

[member="Beth Cadera"]

Beth continued to gently rub [member="Kat Decoria"]’s back as she cried. How long had she held in these feelings, Beth wondered. How could someone hold it in for so long without losing it? However, she did it, Beth was glad that she could help the young woman through it. They came from very distinctive lives, but they at least had a connection few others could compare.

Kat, though, recovered herself quickly. Impressively quick, in truth. She was a resilient person – anybody could tell. “Either way, I’m sure it’s not that bad! But fineee.

She gave Kat a smile as she pulled some stray hairs behind her ear as she gave a couple nods as Kat talked. Extremists existed in all forms- Jedi, Mandalorian, Sith, Republic… It was the nature of sentient life. Extremism, once its roots were latched on, was hard to stamp out. Beth, in truth, wanted peace. She hated war, and death, and violence, and slaver, and all the crap going on in the galaxy.
No problem. I’ll let you know as soon as she finds out something.

But then, Beth bombarded Beth with tons of questions about university, and guys, and Jedi-stuff, and professors. Beth grinned, “Medicine! I’m going to be a doctor. Or at least a combat medic, maybe. It’s pretty friendly, but there are some tough-macho dudes there. You know, Mandalorians.” She chuckled quietly as she tried to catch up with the questions. “No guys, nope. It’s… Neither? Like, I’m learning about the Force in a very non-Jedi but not-Sith way? It’s weird. I mean, I’m much better at light sided abilities of course.

Beth tried to recount all the questions, “I think that got most of them…” She laughed quietly, “Are you excited to be back at Silver Jedi?

Kat smiled widely as she listened to her friend talk about her university experiences. "Don't you Mandalorian girls love macho tough men? I can picture it now, you a field medic, this big burly Mando pulled into your tent and there's a spark between you when you touch." Kat touched Beth and pretended to be static shocked, "swoon all over his big muscles." Kat chuckled as she gave a teasing wink. "Unless you prefer a more sensitive type of guy, but most Mandalorian men, well, most men I've met seem to prefer to be the big burly men over sensitive." Kat remembered that her dad was quite sensitive on occasion but he was more often reclusive, stuck in his work. Her mother always said her dad loved his tech more than her, though every anniversary he surprised her with a gift.

It made sense that she was learning in a way separate from Jedi and Sith. "I meant is it more like you have a Master like a Jedi or Sith would, or are you more like school with lots of teachers and subjects?" Kat attended a public school in Eshan, she wasn't really brainy in maths and languages and art, she was creative in building, a practical learner like her dad so her grades weren't good enough for private. "Well call me shocked! Thought you'd have plenty of guys trying to date you!" Kat exclaimed as she nudged her friend gently. "That's fair enough, have you learned how to heal with the Force or is the Empire still disapproving of Force Users?" There was one time where Mandalorians hate Force Users, didn't matter if they were Jedi or Sith.

Kat shrugged. "My family are getting use to the house we have on Kashyyyk, my sister is doting on the younglings for practice and mother is doting on her. Nice to be able to get away from them every now and then, clear my head, work on some tech, hang out with my droid Shorty. Not really gotten back into training yet but I should soon. I want to but not sure what Jedi I want to be. Feels like such a big role and so much responsibility. Not sure I want that. But then I think that I can't just sit around and waste my powers when there's so much evil like the Sith and the First Order." Kat stated honestly.

[member="Beth Cadera"]

Beth almost busted into laughter at Kat’s claim of Mandalorian girls loving macho men. In truth, Kat was kind of correct. Plenty of women loved macho, big guy men. Many were tall and packed with muscle. But, there was plenty of other type of Mandalorian men – the engineers, doctors, shorties and fatties. Well, really, even the women were pretty macho sometimes and plenty of women were engineers and doctors. Mandalorians didn’t quite dragged down in the man-woman debate.

Beth couldn’t help but laugh, though, and simply threw her hands up in the air. “Hey, hey! I’m sure when the right one comes, it might happen but I’m pretty macho myself, you know.” She said with a firm nod as she tried not to smile. She gave a weak little flex of her right arm, in some attempt to show a nonexistent muscle. “But I mean… You’re not wrong for a lot of it.

Beth nodded, with an ‘oh’ type of moment. “Ohhh, nope. No master. It’s just instructors. It’s pretty neutral I think.” Beth’s training didn’t quite fall within a normal category of Jedi-Sith. She was light-sided, she had been born that way. But, the Mandalorians view the Force as a tool to be used. And, that was mostly how instructors thought about it when they taught her. “But yeah, no guys.” She said with a small chuckle. “What about you, though? Any lady friends over in the Order?” She nudged her friend in return, wiggling her eyebrows.

Beth nodded – a controversial topic in the Empire. “Most people don’t care, honestly. The Empire doesn’t discriminate against Force users, either, except that Force use is banned on Mandalore, the capital planet. But that is because Force users kinda destroyed it in a civil war many years ago.” She shrugged a little, “My dad is Force sensitive, and most people I’ve met are fine with it. I’m sure there is some who don’t though.

Beth gave a smile. Adjusting to a new life on a new planet can be hard. “That is adorable, honestly.” She said as she listened to the rest, “Well, it’s not a rush, right? You’re still really young, there is plenty of time to kind of figure things out.

But, Kat was right – there was much evil in the galaxy. Maybe they didn’t really have time to figure themselves out. “Yeah, that is true… The galaxy is… Evil.” There wasn’t a lot of light-sided major organizations in the galaxy. Beth sighed as she looked up to the sky, deep in thought. It was just a cycle. Eventually, things would turn towards the light. It had too.

"But the tide will turn. It has too."

[member="Kat Decoria"]

Kat smirked as Beth attempted to say that not all Mandalorian men were like that. While admitting that a fair majority were actually like that. She nodded her head and understood where Beth was coming from. "People view Echani the same way, we're all meant to be super attractive and can only be with other attractive people but that's not true. It is more due to the fact that few people outside our people can understand us in the same way, can interpret our real language the same. It is all about thinking we only want beautiful people, just because most of us appear that way. To a lot of Echani, I wasn't considered attractive because I couldn't do the moves to express myself." It was hard to admit but true all the same.

Touching her legs, she sighed, nowadays it didn't stop her fighting or speaking like an Echani but years back they weren't as elegant or as pretty as they were now. Kat smiled as Beth tried to flex her muscles, she refrained from showing off her toned arms. Her hard dedication to physical combat was shown in her upper body strength. She wasn't overly buff but there was definition there when she wanted to show it. Kat nodded when Beth talked about the way she was learning the Force. To have various instructors, she guessed it wasn't too different, Kat could take classes from different Masters if she wanted, but having someone consistent to turn to for questions was nice too.

It made her chuckle when the spotlight was fixed on her love life, however non-existent. "No girlfriends, I have friends but most of the females my age are straight within the Order I think." Kat said, she was never good at figuring out who was straight or not. It was all a guess. However, she was sure she would find someone. Kat nodded when Beth explained the way people in the Mandalorian Empire view the Force. It wasn't as bad as Kat heard it had been, or perhaps she just heard of the older empires views.

"Glad things are okay then, know must be hard to being an outsider so glad you don't feel that way." Kat smiled warmly. Beth's response to Kat's sister was expected. "Suppose it is adorable. It is nice to have something that makes them both feel safe." Kat stated, "yeah, things aren't well for me to be indecisive at the moment." Kat sighed as she knew she had to find her path. "The galaxy isn't evil, no more than a wild animal is for hunting others. Galaxy has no control, people within it, some are evil."

Kat looked at Beth and smiled. "The tide is already turning. Too many Sith factions are sprouting up, competition often causes the Sith to collapse." Kat nodded her head, she had read about that when first learning about the Sith.
