Meeting the family

She had been settled at home, it was after her little arguement with darben, however from it stardust was able to stop and look upon her life. She needed to focus on her family and her health for that matter. She spent most of her time reading books or teaching her daughter brigh how to handle her early blooming force powers, a thought came to mind as she was teaching her daughter one morning...she hadnt seen a certain someone in some time actually. She chuckled and picked up a data pad as she wrote put a quick little message to her sister

sister, or has been some time since we have seen another and talked, why dont you visit commenor, ou also get to see your niece as well

She pressed send and sat it down watching her daughter lifting a small 2 pound weight, she lowered it down sweating a bit as she nodded

you did good, go ahead and rest and wash up we will be having a guest soon

It had been quite a long time since Ra had seen her sister. Life had taken many twists and turns for her, but through it all was the knowledge Star would be there. So when she sent her a message, she responded that she would be there soon.

She did not live on Commenor so the journey would take longer than a simple wash, but it wasn't very long. This visit wasn't a formal or anything so Ra came in her normal clothes and didn't bother hiding her identity. If eyebrows were raised, she would deal with that later.

Knowing she was expected, Ra knocked only once before entering her sister's place.

"Hello the home."

Either way she made sure brigh was nice and clean, once stardust heard the knock she cane to the main area as she gave a smile

took ya long enough, any longer and I'd of started lunch hahaha

She was the only other person besides maybe a few others she could joke with in such a manner. She came up and hugged her sister, about that time brigh came walking out. Stardust smiled and waved brigh forward looking to ra

I want you to meet aunt ra, your aunt and my sister

Brigh stared up at her in awe, she looked like mommy all confidnt and strong! She gave a bright smile

"I'm sorry it took so long. I don't exactly live on Commenor you know."

She said this with a chuckle as she returned the hug Star gave her. Turning her attention to the little girl that appeared though was probably the main reason for her visit. The last time she had seen her, she was a bump on Star.

Squatting down, she looked at Brigh from the same height so she wasn't uncomfortable meeting her.

"Hello. What is your name?"

hahaha dont worry, it could take a day and I'd be ok

Brigh smiled and spoke

I'm brigh! Mommy say I got that name because I'm a bright star for her!

Stardust couldn't help a giggle that turned into a laugh as she nodded in agreement

well she is right, bright star and bright in mind and in the force, honestly I can say I'm half surprised shes shown so early

Star was one of the few people Ra could be herself around. She didn't have to worry about getting stabbed in the back or betrayed. Somehow she felt she could do the same with her sister's daughter.

Barely glancing at Star when she commented about the amount of time, she turned her full attention back to Brigh.

"And it matches since her name is also Star. Did you know that?"

It might sound like a s​illy or stupid question, but many children did not know the names of their parents and only assumed they were mom and dad.

"It is good to know she had a bright future in store."

Brigh nodded quickly with that same smile on her face

yep! She is queen stardust! Which makes me princess brigh!

Stardust fell to her knees laughing, sometimes she couldnt get enough of her daughter, she stood on one knee and patted her shoulder as she wiped her eyes smilimg

I had one of the best futures I could hope for, and every day I work to make sure that future is protected.

She said to ra as she stood and smiled

close that door and let's get something to eat. I have drinks as always of course

"Very good."

While it might be odd, but Ra was pleased the little girl knew her mother's name. When Star started laughing, she looked at her with a smile and stood up.

"I'm happy for you, Star really. Maybe some day it'll happen to me too."

Not at all holding her breath on the matter, she closed the door and followed her sister to where she guided her and Brigh.

"You are indeed a princess, Brigh."

She placed a hand on her shoulder and gave a smile. she turned and headed for the little table she had pulling a chair out for ra before moving to start making a snack tray with some local cheeses, meats, veggies, and brewed some tea up as she hummed setting the table

how have things been on your end?

The confidence Star spoke in said she was confident in her words, but Ra had her doubts. The few men that had been in her life had mostly disappeared from it. One had returned, but she had started seeing Josh and wasn't sure how the other man would feel. Maybe she could talk to her sister on this matter since they were together for once.

Taking the chair offered, she kept Brigh occupied while Star got the snack together for them.

When she returned, Ra helped herself to a little of each with a smile and considered how to answer.

"Things are going pretty smooth I suppose. Have a potential problem though. I am aware you have met Josh DragonsFlame, well so have I. He and I are sort of involved. We have gone out a few times and he spent a night in the castle. Even got the opportunity to meet his son. And then there is Vulps. A man that rules his own planet and is a king. Comes and goes out of my life and is now one of my guardians because of what happened on Winter.

I like them both very mu​ch Star. I don't know what to do. Who can offer me more happiness or even what I want."

Stardust sat back and listen nodding her head as she rubbed her chin in thought

yes you have brought quite the trouble to my hand....I know Josh is q goos man ive fought beside him a few times here and there...never got to involved with him then again around that time I was...everywhere let's say that. Vulps is the same for me, he seems like quite the loyal man to his people enough to go through hell to save them, he seems to care enough to be your guardian and if what I witnessed outside commenor space is true he was willing to take capital ship fire....he seems pretty good man but....I can not decide where your heart goes sister..

What she had to say caused Star some though and he pointed out both were good people. So far Vulps had proven to be a better person, but Josh was good in his own way. Similar people, but so different. Ra could see herself with either one. Maybe it was too early to seriously consider either one, but she couldn't decide.

"I always thought love was a myth and life was pain. Now I'm not so sure."

She had thought if love was real it would hit her like a lightning bolt, that one day she would just know it. In working and being with both Vulps and Josh, she didn't think it was going to be like that. Instead it was going to be some subtle and she may not even know it.

life is a pain, however it is a pain we must love with. Love is one of those things that makes life easier, however finding the right one takes time...similar to how my life has been

She had many husbands, even a droid at one time, however now she was with the man she knew was right and had a child...he rlovely daughter brigh, who for now had simply been eating and listening to the two adults talk

you'll find one, even a evil Sith lord has someone, everyone is destined to be with someone

Reaching out her hand to lightly touch Star on her arm, Ra looked her in the eyes as she spoke. For once totally open to the only woman she thought of as a friend and sister.

"I'm scared of the pain."

Looking away it was difficult for Ra to admit to any weakness, but she trusted Star not to abuse her trust.

"But I'm not sith any longer either."

Stardust stared back in surprise, the woman she considered a greatfriend and sister was showing a weakness to her, she moved a hand to ras as she took a breath and sighed

I've lived for 40 some odd years, I've 4 husbands one of witch divorces me and left me aching...you know who I am talking of..and how it drove me to that very edge...

Looking back now had star actually went through with it so many things wouldn't of happened...shed of never seen all that she had done

my advice...think on it...you've two choices both I approve of

She just sat there accepting what comfort and advice Star could give her. The hand helped and she gave it a slight squeeze. Looking at Brigh, Ra smiled and wondered if there would ever be a time she would have any children of her own. Josh had Jason so if they wound up together, she would already be a mother in a way. If they both wanted that.

Nodding when Star mentioned her own pain, it was something she did not want to go through herself.

"Use logic to decide the fate of the heart."

Chuckling a little, it w​as probably good advice though.

sometimes logic needs to be used for the heart for blind love can lead one astray

She said to her sister as she got some more food and smile a bit and she sat back against her chair closing her eyes in thought. She trusted her sister to make the right deciosn but with such good choices who would she choose? Time would tell
